I know I am late for the party, but I wanted to say that I really appreciate the light hearted mood and the positivity (inspire the game being a nightmare!). Also, pro tip, you can always discard any cards at the end of your turn including those pesky contaminations.

"Danger" means neighboring intruders move to the actual room. You only place noise markers if there aren't any intruders around.

Just bought the game and have not played yet. Tried watching a few videos, but these two are the only ones I watched to the end. Love your enthusiasm, that's what kept me here. Now I think I have what I need to actually give it a go.

@@MeetMeAtTheTable Fantastic game! I've now played two solo rounds and I love it! Almost made it on the first attempt, but eventually couldn't hibernate and was instead killed. On the second attempt I was extremely lucky in the end. I had basically given up, but found the correct evacuation section with the only escape pod left, on the very last turn before the ship's self destruct activated, letting me complete my objective escaping with an egg. I really understand your enthusiasm now. 😀

HotaruZoku it is a great game I have played it solo and semi-coop and it has been fun both ways. I am also I big fan of the theme of this game. The aliens franchise is one of my favorite and I think Awaken realms does a great job. If you do get it I hope you enjoy it. 😃😃👍

This game looks like so much fun! I’m currently trying to figure out how to get my friends into playing board games like this. I played 1 game of scythe and fell in love
It took me a few tries to get my friends to play games like this. Once they started they loved them. I would recommended (if you play Nemesis with them). To use the coop deck of objectives and draw 2 and pick one that you can collectively do. The rules are one for each person and they all have to be completed, but just having one to accomplish makes the game easier and good for getting the hang of how it works. I would even go so far as to recommend the coop objective that makes you uncover every room and escape to claim victory. That’s a fun one to introduce players to the game. If you are looking for a copy Awken Realms Nemisis Lock Down Kickstarter just ended and you could see if you could late pledge, find it on the secondary market, or reach out to Awaken Realms and see if they have copies for sale. Small note at 24:55 after the danger roll the queen should have been pulled in the room with you, noise markers are placed only if there are no adjacent intruders. Game could have ended there and then so maybe it was better what you did for the sake of the video 😄😄😄.

Well that escalated quickly! Really fun video, your enjoyment is infectious, it made me chuckle. Its amusing how difficult it is to shoot the queen, given that she's basically a giant egg laying machine. You'd think it would be difficult to miss. :D

The one mistake I found was at the cockpit. You can't simultaneously check the coordinates and move the destination marker. You can do it in two separate actions but you'll need 4 action cards to spend.

Danger means that intruders from neighbouring rooms come into your room. You just fill up noise if there is no intruder arround...

When you pass you can discard any cards in your hand, including contamination cards.

This game is really difficult to win, espescially solo.. heavy teamwork is needed for a victory, though great playthrough and good game.
Thanks. Yes I believe this is one of the hardest games I have to win solo. It takes a lot to bring down an intruder by yourself. I have started playing solo with multiple characters Co-Op to make me less sad. Thanks for the great comment and thanks for watching.😃😃👍

Just wanted to point something out for people watching now since it has been awhile. Unless I am mistaken, when he rolled a danger symbol at 25:00, the queen should have moved to his room. In the rules it says when you roll a danger symbol, all intruders in neighboring rooms that are not in combat move to your room. You only place noise markers if there are no intruders in neighboring rooms.

Totally!! KS always hurts my wallet. It’s hard to decide what is best sometimes. I have enjoyed the core game and the expansion. And am looking forward to the lockdown. It looks like a ton of fun.
Unless i am mistaken you performed 5 actions instead of 2 on the first turn of this video.
1. Played knowledge of the ship Action card.
2. Performed a Basic Move Action and moved into evacuation area.
3. Performed a Basic Move Action and moved into Shower Room.
4. Performed a Basic Shoot Action to shoot intruder.
5. Performed a Basic Shoot Action to shoot intruder.
You are correct. I will try to explain why I did that. So this game is played in rounds. A player takes 2 actions and then the next person gets to take 2 actions. Once everyone has taken 2 actions. The second round happens. You get to preform 2 more actions if you can and then after everyone either passes or does 2 action. You move to the next round when again you preform 2 actions or pass. When you have no ability to do an action you have to pass. You may also voluntarily pass on your turn but once you do you can play again until the intruder phase has happened and it is again the players turn. Now in a single player game I preformed 2 actions and since there is no one else to go next it returns to me and again I choose to preform 2 actions. Again it returns to me since no one else is playing and with my final card I preform an action and now I have to pass because I have no other way to preform and action. Now that I passed it moves to the intruders turn. I hope that makes sense. Thanks for the great comment and thanks for watching 😃😃👍
@@MeetMeAtTheTable Thank you fot that explanation. It clears up the rounds and passing mechanic of the players turns. For some reason i thought that a pass happened directly after your 2 actions and not after all players have performed all available actions they can take with their 5 available action cards in hand. I appreciate that. I have only playrd 1 game so far and that would have altered the game significantly.

You should have used the discard 2 cards to move quietly. since you are solo you could move 2 locations per turn as you find the room you are looking for

Are you gonna burn all those poor dock workers and ticket counter people when you leave the space station in the campaign? It seems pretty mean but sacrifices must be made. (So I can find out what happens when you pick that option)

Hahahaha yep I totally served her up on a slime platter. I’m excited to get back to the campaign. Right now the vote is spilt and I might have to make the final decision. Its weighing heavy on me, and I might not know which way to go until I’m standing at the table.
What if an intruder runs away but there is not the corridor number around the room you are in
Great question there will always be either a corridor or a technical corridor it can move into and if it does more into a technical corridor the token for that intruder goes back in the bag. Hope that helps 😃😃👍

Hi, i like your Videos about Nemesis, i learn a lot. However at 25:00 instead of putting noise tokens in the corridors, the Queen would have moved to your location.

Thanks for the videos, but aren't you performing too many actions each turn? Isn't the limit only 2 actions, but in the beginning you do 1 action card, 2 movements and a attack in one round.
EDIT: My bad, I didn't understand the Rules properly.
Sweet glad you were able to figure it out. The rules are not the best when describing how actions work, and it is even more confusing when playing solo since there isn’t a “next” person to take 2 actions. I like your positivity and laughter despite your terrible misfortunes. Am I right to say if heavy luck bothers you in a solo game, Nemesis might not be a good solo game for you?
Thank you. There is a always luck in a dice game. This game in particular uses the dice to add tension. Roll for noise oh no, spawn an intruder more tension reach into the bag and see what is stalking you. All this tension is luck based. There are only a few ways to mitigate this luck too. I really love the tension this game brings, but yes for a solo gamer who wants control of his destiny this may not be the best choice. Thanks for the comment and question and thanks for watching. 😃😃👍

So assuming that first adult intruder had kept the 5 damage, would you have opted to save your ammo and use melee?
Great question. I would have shot it. If you miss doing a melee you take a serious wound and even if you hit you take a contamination card. OUCH!! Melee to me is the most last resort. Thanks for watching! Nemesis is great!
At 29:45 the serious injury card says that you can only draw up to 4 cards so wouldn’t that mean that you could’ve drawn one more card? I think the way you interpreted it was that you can only have 4 cards in your hand instead of 5.

It's a minor nitpick on your video production, but if you could put your camera into manual iris mode it wouldn't keep getting lighter and darker to adjust for your hand every time it moves in front of the board. Otherwise you do a GREAT job at this!

When selecting the Queen intruder token from the bag if you haven’t discovered the nest or it’s been discovered and no players are in there, then an egg token is added to the intruder board? Don’t think you should have had the queen appear in your room with you?
There are 2 instances of the Queen token in the game. When doing the bag development of a Queen is drawn you add an egg to the hive. If you draw the token during the noise roll you do get to place the Queen down in the board. I hope that makes sense. Thanks for the great comment and thanks for watching. When you use the cockpit action can you do both 1)check the coordinates and 2) change them???
You are correct. I did some major investigating and I misplayed this action. I will have to make a note in the video. I misunderstood how this action works. The action is an OR action. The check coordinates allows you to look at the card, And set destination allows you to move the marker. This is my mistake. in the end the result will be the same, but I will make a note in the video so others do not make the same mistake. When you enter a room and get slimed. Does the effect stay on the room. If anyone, or yourself, re-enters the room?

29:18 does the adult move from your room as well since it’s symbol is also on the card?
Great question. Since the intruder is in the same location (in combat) with a character it will not move even if the symbol is on the event card. Hope that makes sense

Think those aliens minis are nice, but they are way too big. Smaller would be from gameplay wise more usefull. I could even ditch every mini and replace them with cardboard stand to get same gameplay with less cost.
All of your points are very valid. The minis are cool but that are impractical when placed on the board. Awaken Realms loves their minis, but a cheeper option but I guess that was never in the plan. Thanks for the great comment and thanks for watching. 😃😃👍
Question when attacking the intruder, do you pull a intruder attack card after your first shot or can you shoot multiple times and then check the card?
Great question. It’s my understanding that you pull an intruder attack card after each shot to determine if you have reached the wound threshold of the intruder. Each card has a different number or symbol so you never know when you are going to land the kill shot. It’s one of my favorite parts of the game. Thanks for the question and thanks for watching

@@MeetMeAtTheTable Hey man one things you missed, idk if you know now but when you pass you can discard all your cards from your hand, I noticed that you were holding onto your contamination cards there at the end even after you passed. Page 10 under "Player Turns" 4th sentence down.
Yes you are correct. I miss that step a lot. There are times I want to keep cards because you have to discard before the events happen and I would hate to be caught without cards during a surprise attack from an intruder. That’s why I love that soldiers card that can avoid a surprise attack.
Interesting game but very much luck-based. You're pretty much at the mercy of the dice. A few bad rolls and you're pretty much done. Speaking of which, you should burn that noise dice and request a new one. O_O

Awesome video! Question: when you take 2 light injuries, wouldn't that have been two tokens on the injury track? They then slide down one at a time causing serious wounds?
Thank you. Glad you enjoyed it. Great question. When you take a light wound you put on the top track. If you take another light wound you move the token down on the board. If you take an additional light wound then you remove the token and gain a serious wound. Multiple light wound tokens are not placed on the track. I hope that makes sense. I did some research. I found this on the official FAQ from awaken realms. Others interpreted the light wounds as you did and so they posted this
Wounds
The light wound track is (as the name implies) a track. You place a token on the first spot with your first light wound, move it to the second spot with your second light wound, then remove it and gain a serious wound with your third light wound. 3 Light Wounds = 1 Serious Wound.
