i work for said type of laundry company over here in the uk. we provide all workwear and hygeine equipment most if not all businesses would ever need or use , incuding overalls , hand towels / cloths / rags , hand drying towels. dust mats for your garage floor etc the list goes on. we come out weekly , pickup dirty and drop off clean . launder all the items on a contractual basis. and as a national company we can provide for 1 person , or thousands in the same building. quite a genious service , id not have even thaught about it till i started working there .
Like the idea of those ball joints, looking forward to see how they perform as I will be needing some I’m sure soon. You forgot the price comparison though hehe!
Have you measured the subframe that it’s not bent from the tie rod pulling it self out. Compare one side to the other a good mod if the subframe is out it to weld in some flat bar to strengthen and brace the front part so it doesnt flex or bend under load or move when you have damage like what happened with your wheel Great vid👍
I do like those new style top and bottom pivots. No more shim guesswork! Not a criticism but if I heard you right you said you did also change the wheel bearings? If so you should never use the taper /cone washer to do the initial 'set' of the bearings on the driveshaft. There is a special washer available but a solid wide flat washer will do to bring it up to full torque. Then take that off and use the (preferably new) taper / cone washer and bring back to torque setting. Some good useful tips in that video by the way ....
I asked Classic Minis Japan for an enquiry about these ball joints and they said they were 22,896¥ (for a set of 4) without shipping which equates to 215$. That seems pretty steep compared to regular ball joints. What do you guys think ? A regular set of ball joints can be bought 5x cheaper. ☹️
wow, didn't think they would be that much. I'm now not considering getting them, haha. just looked a set of 4 ball joints are £18, I don't think they are worth that much.
I was quite impressed with those new ones but if that is the price I will stick to the originals. Apart from the guesswork they aren't difficult to replace and set up And @ £9.00 including tax in the UK its a no brainer..
I know this video is old but I'm getting ready to replace most all of the same parts on the front. Including rack boots, adjust and lube the rack. I've bought all my stuff from Seven Mini. Still waiting on radius arm kits. Hopefully they haven't lost my order. I think I search through their catalog 3 or 4 times a week. How are those ball joints working? Maybe an update video??
Hey I post the links to all the products in each video, in the description but heres the link to the gentlemans website who sells them. classicminisjapan.com/new-parts/maintenance-free-ball-joint-kit/
Yeah 🤦🏻♂️ been missing a little while apparently on the right side towards the front of the car. They are on order and I’ll put them on at some point.
On the ball joints? I might have edited it out of the video but I knocked them down. This is more of a “look I’m doing work” rather than a fully in depth DIY. 😂
Best wishes of recovery for your Mini. I’m glad you were not injured in this accident.

Nice work Cole, see you on Thursday 👍
The lower control arms aren't 1.5 degrees of camber, they ADD 1.5 degrees of camber to whatever camber you had before.
great video, I really like the look and idea of the ball joints, I'm now considering getting them as I'm going to have to buy new ones for my new hub
Great video but the diagonal tie rod bushes should be hard bushings for the outboard end, and softer bushings for the inner.
Great vid as always, I didn't know about the new ball joints, thanks.
Nice one Cole, safe trip.

Hey good video again. Can you give me a link for the ball joints please.
Great video cole out of interest what was the drag on them new ball joints could you move them with your fingers??
Barely could move with my fingers. So pretty tight overall.

Maybe an update video??
Do these new ball joints need greasing through the grease nipple as normal? Also do you add the spring as before to the bottom one?
It has been a year since the video has been uploaded. How have the ball joints held up? What is your impression of them?
Hi can you post a link on where to buy those new no maintenance ball joints please , ty

Steering rack Track rod end rubber was badly split, probably dried out. Needs fixing asap. Love them ball joints.
Definetly! It’s on order but couldn’t get round to replacing them before the trip. 👍🏼
@@classicminidiy Hi could explain your steering problem, needs changing asap, if its fail .nightmare.. X
It looks like the top arm rubber dust seals are missing?
Yeah 🤦🏻♂️ been missing a little while apparently on the right side towards the front of the car. They are on order and I’ll put them on at some point.
hI great video is there a reason why your steering tie rod is connected upside down ?
Thats the orientation they should be installed. They go up through the bottom with the bolt on top. :-)
You didnt show knocking over the locking tab fingers crossed you did?

@@classicminidiy better safe than sorry 👍👍
