Unpopular opinions: I really like this Gomez, and I REALLY like this Pugsley. Portraying the Gomez that comes after Raul Julia's Gomez is a sadly difficult task, but I really like when an actor tries his best to give his owns charms to a character without trying to mirror any actor that did it before, and I like how this Gomez always looks very loving of his family and concerned for Wednesday's happiness. And about Pugsley.. This literally the very first time I actually like this character at all. All the other versions of pugsley, since I watched addams family as a kid, seemed lik an "extra piece" in the series, and I always felt indiferent to his participation at all. This one actually brings a "weird in a cute and inocent way" vibe, which I think it suits the character a lot more. (again, my personal opinions, it doesn't make anyone else's opinion "wrong" in any way, and thats it. Have a nice day)
It’s a good opinion! I agree with you. This Gomez owns it. I like how the actress for Wednesday said she wants to bring out her Hispanic roots. It fits nicely with Gomez and his character. Yeah good casting for this series.
I just want Pugsley to have his own shining moment. A young man doing his own shenanigans in his life than a doormat character. A polar opposite but still alike with his sister, you know like if Wednesday is silent but deadly goth girl, Pugsley should be chaotic and likes to do crazy things.
I’d like if they have another season for it to focus a lil more on him too i get the show I’d about Wednesday but still I’d like more exploration into this interpretation of the family
He is the least developed character. And since Wednesday was just a sweet girl in the original tv series, but became iconic in the 90's movies, there isn't a reason that Pugsley can't get the same treatment.
@@wintertrooper7918 in which way? Personally I’d like a return to the more indestructible version we got from the movies in 1990 that could live through anything since they gave Wednesday some sort of power why not let him have that as well as maybe a look into his personality shift

"Any plans you have of running away end right now, I've alerted all family members to contact me the moment you darken their doorstep.....(Whispers) you have nowhere to go" Catherine Zeta-Jones delivered that line flawlessly.
This young lady really gets Wednesday right. And I think it's cool that Christina Ricci is involved in the series as well. She really made the character, after all.
Actually, Angelica Huston's Morticia does get teary-eyed as well. She does it in Addams Family Values when Gomez's mental health is spiraling and when Debbie says "Don't I deserve love.. and jewellery?" :')
I do wish that Puglsey got more character development in the Addams Family canon: outside of the second animated movie, he is a very minor character and he deserves better.
I was very pleasantly surprised by Catherine and Luis' performances as Morticia and Gomez. I felt very invested in their characters. I really hope they come back for season 2! Would love to see the series' version of the Addams house and Granny!
I have always felt a deep, dark connection to Wednesday Addams. While Christina Ricci's interpretation has always been the one closest to my heart, this new Wednesday has not made me want to end my life yet and that is a win in my book. I think I am in love. How awful... 🥀🖤🪦
Fun fact: the Nevermore school is actually the Cantacuzino Castle located in Busteni, Romania. I’ve been there to visit in every vacation since I was 5 and seeing this series filmed there was a true joy.
I binged watched this series in 2 days and I can say, I am intrigued by the backstory of Morticia and Weems. I sort of felt pity and empathy for Weems. Principal Weems loves the school, she never had a family or children so the whole school was everything to her. So..... somewhere in her backstory she grew up in Nevermore and loved it, she wants to take care of it and see all outcasts be welcomed at Nevermore. She is very much the Dumbledore of this series. I can also infer that while Morticia was the popular girl, Weems was always in her shadow, it seems sad that her friend and roommate would outdo her and get attention from everyone. The writers of this show did a great job building up new characters and I would want a Season 2 or 3 where we see a little bit more of the Past as it really has good actors for Young Morticia and Young Gomez. BUT yes Jenna was a phenomenal Wednesday!
The issue I have is that the Addams wouldn't be outcasts here. The original show, the movies imply there is a whole world where they are normal. And they aren't explicitly monsters.
I loved Mortica here! I think the casting for her & Gomez was well done. Only thing holding em back is lack of chemistry between the two. If they had more screen maybe? I’m just guessing here.
I like it. We are always told that the Addams are "normal" but just creepy. Yet they are always so lovey-dovey to each other that could be downright weird. I love that this is normal. Wednesday is trying to assert herself, is dealing with things she does not understand and needs to challenge the main female authority fgure in her life.
I love how most of the family are nice people, who just love dark, scary, and twisted things, and then there's Wednesday, who is a horror villain, and wants genocide. You can tell that even the family often dissaprove of the way Wednesday behaves.
I just don't understand why Wednesday suddenly hates her parents and doesn't wanna be like them. I thought the whole point of The Addams Family was that they're weirdos, but they actually love and care for each other. I feel like she didn't need a rebellious teenager phase, it seems odd to me
Granted though, this rebellion seems more suited than the animated movie one they tried. This one she still likes who she is, and she's rebelling and irritated that she's being sent away for something in her eyes she was justified in doing, and was adhering to family values, protecting her brother; her rebellion makes sense in that way of how it's relatable to a teenager who feels the injustice, but the setting and where she is going fits in with Wednesday herself. She likes who she is, her rebellion wouldn't be based on changing herself, it be based on her own will
I think it's trying to angle more towards the fact that Wednesday feels like she has to compete and measure up to her mother. She feels pressured to be just like Morticia but that's not really true at all. She doesn't hate her parents.
@m.c.9419 yea I haven't seen the show yet but I get your point of View from just this clip alone. It's made even more noticeable because everyone else she hugs before is at her level, they see eye to eye with Wednesday but when it's Morticia's time to talk with her, Wednesday has to look up to her literally. I know from my own experiences how it feels to look, think, an act like my parents, but deny I'm anything like them.
I never had the feeling that Wednesday doesn’t love her family. She just loves them in her own way, and as you’ve said, she’s a teenager. Every teenager goes through a phase where they distance themselves from their parents, it’s totally normal (although it could definitely be argued ‘normal’ is abnormal for the Addams).
Funny how even Wednesday hates hugs, she still let his dad or Pugsley embrace her (only staring at them) She has a soft spot that Enid managed to bring to light
Morticia Addams really is a fashion icon. She always looks flawless regardless who is portraying her.

I’m going to be her for Halloween this year so I’ve been watching tons of Morticia clips. She is an absolute icon. I love her aura, vibe and energy. Elegant, gothic, mysterious, kind, generous, loving, and sultry. 🖤
Catherine Zeta was PERFECT as Morticia. From the looks, mannerism and personality... Even though she's different from the previous Morticia, Catherine did an amazing job.
"I'll never be married, or be a housewife"
Morticia would always support her children and their dreams and choices, but I dunno, being married to a man who looks like Luis Guzman...that's goals
"Morticia: 'Wednesday's at that very special age when a girl has only one thing on her mind.'
Ellen: 'Boys?'
Wednesday: 'Homicide.'” - Addams Family Values
Luis Guzman is good looking ?? How old are you
@@msunje9862 43...why? he's 66, and ever seen him in The Count of Monte Cristo? he's awesome in that. goes through the entire film, just being the only sane man in Edmund Dante's quest for revenge. and does it all, with his body language. that's a talent.
im 25 and i fell in love with him the second i saw him in the trailers. (sorry mrs morticia) peak male performance, i gotta say
What a racist comment
Wednesday letting Pugsley hug her without pulling away... favorite little piece of this scene
She lets her brother and father hug her. She still doesnt like it.
@@TheKillaShow its more that shes scared of crying
@@tiffanystewart9265 She says why she doesnt cry in episode 1. Its not about fearing feelings.
@@TheKillaShow thats not true she does fear feelings shes scared to cry cause she doesnt wanna be in pain in ep 2 its made clear that she fears rejetsion
Please let Trixie and Katya react to the Wednesday Addams show! After all the sufferings you guys gave them, THEY DESERVE IT!!!

Who?
@@user-sy9ev8hh5kthey are famous drag queens who got famous after being in a show called rupaul's drag race
This show is like combining Tim Burton's old movies like Dark Shadows, Miss Peregrines and Sleepy Hollow.
Miss Peregrine's old??? It was released in 2016/2017!!!! 🤷🏻♀️
Of course
@@greyLeicester 2016, which is over 6 years ago.
I thought it was Tim Burton's production, but after watching one episode I realise it's not. This is just a new Sabrina for Netflix. Belongs to teen series in CW, nothing special. Disappointing. 😞
@@miamama9886 But it's one of the latest ones still
Unpopular opinions: I really like this Gomez, and I REALLY like this Pugsley.
Have a nice day)
Yeah, specially cause Raúl Julia was my first crush and I got myself a men like him. 😂
@@laum5371 Sounds lovelly! Its how I always say, everybody wants a goth beautiful woman but few take a step to work up on your own gomez charm. :v
It’s a good opinion! I agree with you. This Gomez owns it. I like how the actress for Wednesday said she wants to bring out her Hispanic roots. It fits nicely with Gomez and his character. Yeah good casting for this series.
I love them too!
This Gomez is fucking perfect from the original concept though.
Maybe Wednesday's pirrahna prank and sticking up for him before getting shipped to nevermore makes a change in pugsley?
@@wintertrooper7918 in which way? Personally I’d like a return to the more indestructible version we got from the movies in 1990 that could live through anything since they gave Wednesday some sort of power why not let him have that as well as maybe a look into his personality shift
@@recoil53 his 1990 movie incarnation is one of my favorite he didn’t do much but you got the sense he was a lil playfully unhinged like fester and I’d like if they did that with this version of him
I’m in love with how they showed a difficult mother and daughter relation
She is definitely the one! Behind her laughter she is only me! Love at first sight!
Idk why but I find Gomez and Morticia's cheesy nicknames for Wednesday really funny

Death Trap
Morticia Addams-This actress is outstanding in this part. The makeup and how she appears in this clothing. The actress playing this part is stunning.
Love the line 'Sometimes you get in your own way".
"my little death trap" LMFAOOOOOOOO 🤣🤣🤣🤣
These actors are so amazing
Morticia is a caring mum.
Binged the whole episode. Enjoy everyone of them
I want to hear renewals for season 2&3. Also, want the deleted scenes between Tyler and his dad released as it will showcase the abuse and why his relationship with his dad is frosty regardless about his mum being an outcast. I have so many questions I need answered…
What really happened to Tyler’s mother?
How did Rowan’s mother die?
How many other nightshade books have future prophecies?
Does Wednesday have more powers? Especially now that Goody infused with her?
Is there still a bit of Tyler left or is he just Hyde?
Are there more outcast living in Jericho who don’t know they may have powers or their true heritage?
Here Hear !!! Renweal for at least 5 seasons ....Find some more great writers for the scripts .....At least 6 seasons total !!!
@@michaelcleo6624 also want to see more of Pugsley, hope he joins nevermore next season with Wednesday and the nightshades are established properly again with modern adjustments especially with the entrance to the library being too accessible including exploring the powers and heritage of characters like Xavier, Bianca, Ajax, Enid, Eugene and Yoko better
I felt there was a lit of deleted parts in the show
@@1hanagima I think the same too, normally is the case with Netflix when they make series or movies but they do release them later on TH-cam
I get the feeling that Tyler's mum morphed into the Hyde when giving birth to Tyler, and maybe dadu shot her..... But then again ????.
Catherine looks amazing as Morticia and I love her romance dynamic with the great actor Luis Guzman as Gomez! 😁❤
"Any plans you have of running away end right now, I've alerted all family members to contact me the moment you darken their doorstep.....(Whispers) you have nowhere to go"
Catherine Zeta-Jones delivered that line flawlessly.
It was soo good..
So many twists and turns... I loved it...
Completed the entire season in one night.
These actors are amazing omg
And the mother is sooo beautiful 😻
What a fantastic show.
I loved the show, I binged all eight eps. I'm excited for future seasons, this was great.
This young lady really gets Wednesday right. And I think it's cool that Christina Ricci is involved in the series as well. She really made the character, after all.
Yeah,Jenna Ortega is good, its just funny to come watch her in this after seeing her in The Babysitter:Killer Queen and X
Catherine Zeta-Jones is the first Morticia who cries or least gets teary-eyed.
Actually, Angelica Huston's Morticia does get teary-eyed as well. She does it in Addams Family Values when Gomez's mental health is spiraling and when Debbie says "Don't I deserve love.. and jewellery?" :')
You haven't watched the original series? Carolyn Jones gets teary eyed just as well in some episodes
no she’s not
Nope, she's not the first.
@@martastanwick yeah I remember she teared up like she sypathized with her lmao

What I would give to have a relationship like the one Gomez and Morticia have. Those two are so perfect together.
I do wish that Puglsey got more character development in the Addams Family canon: outside of the second animated movie, he is a very minor character and he deserves better.
Yeah he does
Love the way she sounded genuenly angry when she told her she couldn't escape.
I was very pleasantly surprised by Catherine and Luis' performances as Morticia and Gomez. I felt very invested in their characters. I really hope they come back for season 2! Would love to see the series' version of the Addams house and Granny!
Thing should win a award for this series! The guy who played him did a amazing job!
I love this series so much 💜💜💜
I have always felt a deep, dark connection to Wednesday Addams. While Christina Ricci's interpretation has always been the one closest to my heart, this new Wednesday has not made me want to end my life yet and that is a win in my book. I think I am in love. How awful... 🥀🖤🪦
Dude, hyperbolic much? 🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️
Seems to me like someone is channeling their inner Wednesday.

@@worriertotheend6683 🖤 You understand.
The actress who played patricia was well casted, i agree i love Christina version of wednesday.. it was perfect
Fun fact: the Nevermore school is actually the Cantacuzino Castle located in Busteni, Romania. I’ve been there to visit in every vacation since I was 5 and seeing this series filmed there was a true joy.
Who else thinks her mother is actual kind just in a dark way
Wow I love this!
Morticia Adams is an icon ✨
Didnt they imply Morticia took her man...Gomez?
@@TheKillaShow I think they implied it too but they didn't directly say Gomez, if so Gomez is a magnet for tall beautiful women.
Love the darkness and love between mother and daughter
My favorite...always.
Beautifully written.... And acted!
I love how Wednesday always gives that "tf? 🤨" look to Gomez. 😂😂
This reminds me of when she was sent to summer camp 🤣🤣🤣
Pugsley: What does chippewa mean?
Gomez: It's an old Indian word.
Wednesday: It means orphan.
The humor in this show is impeccable
It feels like a combination of the 1990s films and the 2019/2021 animated films. Which is a good thing.
It feels 1990s because Tim Burton turned down making the Addams Family movie back in 1991, so he's reliving the past.
"Look at you, my little deathtrap"
I loved Mortica here! I think the casting for her & Gomez was well done. Only thing holding em back is lack of chemistry between the two. If they had more screen maybe? I’m just guessing here.
Out of all Gomez, he’s the most comically accurate, and in my top 2 favorite Gomez portrayals
One word - perfect casting and this series I enjoyed a lot...please give us more seasons of wednesday
Thats 9 words
I love Gomez pet names for Wednesday.
And that final love head tap
Haven’t starting watching, but love this show’s story. The color of the show is also seem mysterious😮❤
Catherine Zeta Jones looks *flawless* as Morticia Adams, *flawless.*
Catherine Zeta-Jones really suit Morticia Addams character 🙌🏻❤️
"We'll call you next Sunday."
"My name is Wednesday, Mother."
Catherine as Morticia 😭her voice is so enchanting
I used to watch this with my ex boyfriend. Brings back so many good time gone memories but still a really good show
So so good. The cinematography is excellent, the acting and story… so good.
I love how Wednesday brutally roasted pugsLy and he just is so pure
pugsly is too sweet for that 😭
she gave her the wumbo necklace
Oh my god 😭
Funny how even Wednesday hates hugs, she still let his dad or Pugsley embrace her (only staring at them)
She has a soft spot that Enid managed to bring to light
Love this. I pray for a Season 2...watching Wednesday grow up...love it
A lot of people are gonna say this but Wednesday is just like her mother
The fact he had a button that released thing from UNDERNEATH the car is just 😅😂
Wednesday: "I will never be like you, mother."
If my mom was Catherine Zeta-Jones, I would be glad to be like her for sure.
