Is the 250-300 mmHg pressure needed to keep the arterial blood from oozing out of the artery into the tubing?
Also, is 3 ml/hr the flow rate into the artery because of this pressure? How long does this continue, i.e. at what point do you have to increase the pressure in the bag? Thanks.

Pressure in the bag maintain the equilibrium against arterial blood.
And for inflation of bag there is mark on port of bag. Which indicates the appropriate pressure.
As soon as we find it reduced then we have to inflate it again.

Pressure in the bag should be as per above Stated range. Otherwise the readings of blood pressure will be wrongly sense by transducer.

To avoid blood clotting and to avoid back flow of arterial blood as it also has pressure.
So transducer sense the pressure of blood against the pressure of fluid with pressure bag.
