  • Please enjoy my open-ended playthrough of Animal Crossing: Wild World! I hope it relaxes you 🍒
Please note that the larger screen in this video is displaying the bottom screen on the Nintendo DS, as there's more game activity on the bottom screen.

if i’m remembering correctly (it’s been like 17 years since i’ve played this) but giving Wendell a different fruit gives you different patterns!

Always watch these right before I go to bed and it's a perfect way to end the day!
Something I wanna let you know about Wendall is that he gives you the same brick pattern for all fruits you give him except coconuts. You can also feed him fish and you get a different pattern for each type of fish

oh I never thought of giving him fish! definitely gonna try a different fruit with him next time we see him 🥰

@@pokeireofficial Try giving him a coconut or fish next time because no matter which fruit you give him, you'll get the same pattern you got this time, it's not just for cherries, you get the same for all fruits! You could still try other fruits but you'll end with the same pattern 😅

Perspective of someone who has about 2000 hours in NH and started with/exclusively played WW as a child: I think nostalgia is a big thing with these 2 AC titles. I think NH is undeniably the "better" game (there is more to do, more to decorate, etc), but WW has more charm and personality. For me, the villager dialogue is such an important factor in the games, and I've noticed the criticism of NH towards this. It took me until watching your playthrough that the villagers in WW actually do have some repetitive dialogue.
The difference is that in WW, you can automatically start a conversation with a villager by prompting them to chat. I noticed in NH that the first time you talk to a villager that day, they'll say a generic, repetitive line. You have to keep prompting them to talk over and over in order (starting new conversations) to get new dialogue. Obviously, this gets really repetitive and makes the villagers seem lifeless.
NH is also just a beautiful game. WW has its own charm, but I don't think its the prettiest of the AC games!
I hope Nintendo takes note of the criticism with NH dialogue going forward. I know they try to keep their games family friendly, but some of the dialogue in WW is just hilarious! I wish they added more of that spice to NH.

so true! NH is a gorgeous game and so much more to customize which is so much more fun. I definitely prefer WW music though 😊

@@pokeireofficial You are so right! I wish they let us change the soundtrack to WW or NL... those were so good
