In all my years being evolved in the music industry this is the first time I was speachless l. I thought Run for Roses was great, but Dash is next level. NMIX will be a huge international group. JYP you must continue to support NMIX. Congratulations to NMIXX from all fans from the beginning. NMIX Your killing it! Stay safe j.
For me this is the first NMIXX song that didn't make me wonder what it would have sounded like if Jinni was still with the group. "Dash" sounds like a turning point for them as if the girls have finally accepted the fact that they are indeed a 6-member group and have adjusted and grown into their roles. I really like this song. The opening verse reminded me of Hwasa's "FOMO", especially the ad-libs. Oddly, "FOMO" also has a change-up and a tempo slow-down later in that song, so maybe there's something to that. But yeah, the tempo slow down and speed up section was such a nice touch. And of all of NMIXX's change-ups, this one caught me the most off guard. Such a fun song -- sometimes we just need music that lets us escape from our day for a few minutes and "Dash" does that.
Maybe it's because I started stanning pretty much at the time Jinni left but I've always thought their songs were great and didn't need a 7th member. Having watched their old performances, Jinni was fine but never really stood out to me. It is interesting to wonder what NMIXX would be like as a 7-member group, but I think they're perfect how they are now.
Yaaas I thought the same we're back with the NMIXX factor! Ugh loved the production and just everything with these comeback! This song is soo well produced and interpreted
I like to imagine that the "Hey you bastards, I'm still here" at the end is for the haters AS WELL AS people who've said they abandoned their mixxpop concept. It never went anywhere. Just because not every song has a crazy switch doesn't mean they don't do change ups anymore. I've loved every single song from them, change up or no, cause it's always heat.
Hi Pierre! It's been a while. I have to say NMIXX have outdone themselves with this one!! I enjoyed your insight on the whole concept and was enthralled by your commentary on the song itself, I love the way you pick out each instrument, give a description and fitting tidbit. It never ceases to fascinate me. I can definitely see the live-band adjacent-ness and more mature feel by the way. NMIXX always include a myriad of unique and old school melodies and uncommon inflections, elements of soul, ect. In that aspect, Bae and Lily really owned it and leaned into their individual quirks this time around. Albeit, NMIXX seem to never shy away from their individuality with every sole member and in every aspect: comeback, concept, sound! "DASH" has undeniably been one of NMIXX's most catchy and unique title tracks, yet it is still extremely palatable. Bringing classic throwback elements together with neo hiphop, funk and r&b, NMIXX still capture that "NMIXX sound" and soul and the MV really embodies that. Really!!! Kudos to JYP and the girls because NMIXX deserve their 10's.
They are truly a great group with great voices and loads of talent. Nice to see you here again. Yea, JYP knows how to put together a group that actually works ...
I've actually never gotten into girls groups in K-pop. I've never found a group that I liked because they've never had more than a few songs that I actually liked since I don't like the "girly pop" style most of them do and I couldn't get into a lot of the rap in the songs I didn't mind. But this is my first time hearing NMIXX I think I might want to check them out! Any recommendations?
Thank you... they are truly a diverse group. They debuted in February 2022... so they are still a rather young group. But they are very talented and great vocalists. You should definitely check out their debut song 'O.O' (yes it is spelled like that) , then 'Dice' and 'Love me like that' A thing they do really well is their so called "stage practices" of their songs... You can see them doing their choreo in their practice room and actually singing while practicing. Not like most regular dance practices where you only hear a backing track. And of course you can check out their episodes on the Lee Mujin show... I reacted to all of them here. That would be Lily, Haewon and Bae And of course there is their recent album and the pre release song 'Sonar'
No, I've had it for a while. I just like putting some book and comic covers on display and changing them once in a while.. On my bookshelf in the back you can also see that I like showing off some covers...

This is by far my favorite NMIXX song after O.O! This base, the drum, funky and jazzy, 10's hiphop vibe is just awesome!

리뷰재밌게 잘보고 갑니다😊
The Flying Whale, to me, personally, is their mascot now. Love that.
I would love that to become a permanent thing... A flying whale is so magical ...
NMIXX live stage performances are gonna be different especially when you're watching the choreography and outfit selections on everyone
that is right... I can't wait to see more now

@@NeonReactionsPierre yes their vocals are stunning I was very impressed. Thank you so much for the recommendations and info!
Is the ''Y the last man'' TPB in the background new? 'Cause I never noticed it before. Brian K. Vaughan fan?
No, I've had it for a while. I just like putting some book and comic covers on display and changing them once in a while.. On my bookshelf in the back you can also see that I like showing off some covers...
@@NeonReactionsPierre Then I'll keep an eye open, as I am as much a comic book reader \ collector as i am a kpop stan!!!
