You know I'm thinking you could buy a small say 1hp and change the driven pulley to a larger one,which would reduce the cfm and the amp draw maybe even to the point you could use solar panels for power. Also curious,in your research did you see any suggested cfm and pressure recommendations for a well that the pump was set at 200 feet,not sure about the total depth ,I quit using it because it was eating pumps.
I know it has been a considerable amount of time since you made this video but I had to add my 2 cents to the process. You perhaps may even be already doing some form of the below suggestions. Just by replacing the 220v electric pump with air pressure from your garage air compressor I am sure your electrical consumption has dropped a noticeable amount. When you started talking about making the air line from the garage permanent I wondered why. Running a 125 psi shop compressor and pushing air clear from the garage all the way to the well head seems to me to be not very efficient You could use a small oil less diaphram air pump installed right next to the well head. The pump would be one that is only designed for say 30psi tops and produced sufficient cfm to make the lift pump work correctly! Something matched to the needs of your design. I bet by doing it this way you could reduce your electric consumption even further!
this was just a test video, I run the system on a very small rocking piston air compressor and that runs on solar power, I had to stop doing update videos because people just don't get it and I was sick of all the people telling me it would not work.. its been working for over 6 years same compressor and the last five on solar. I am still looking for a 12 volt DC rocking piston compressor so it takes less amps to run on solar.
Still working? I got an extra 100 foot well with 60 feet of water that I want to get some water to irrigate a garden. I want to set it up completely on solar for just daytime pumping. I would like to see a comparison between 1 1/4" and 1" pipe.

Pretty awesome what kinda specs are you getting in terms of GPM and wattage usage on the compressor?
Why would you even need the 2" chamber at the bottom? Just go in the side of the water riser pipe. Cheaper and easier.
