Great question! Definitely don't use notebook/printer paper because your perler beads will melt to it. It has to be a paper that can withstand the high temperatures of the heat press or iron. I'm not sure of any other papers besides parchment or perler ironing papers.
Great question! Parchment paper is the same kind of paper used with baking cookies and other foods, yes. I noticed, when I used parchment paper, it would leave a shiny film on my projects and the perler ironing paper doesn’t.
