THAT ENDING. The last few sentences were exactly what I needed, it felt so inspiring and honestly the overall topic of the video was something I've been feeling lately. Taking the best moments for granted, not realizing how beautiful the place was until months later when I look back. I constantly look forward to other projects but rarely stop appreciate what's happening currently. Thanks for making this one and helping us see a different perspective!
You're right in assuming this would still be a problem in the pacific northwest. In fact the PNW has some of the highest suicide rates in the country exactly because of this. Yes the landscape is beautiful, but the weather is constantly grey and rainy while the days are very short in the winter. Even Portland is further north than Toronto. You get 7 hours less daylight in peak winter than peak summer. The PNW is hit particularly hard with SAD because of this. Personally, I'm not affected by it. I kind of get the opposite, summers are so hot and dry now. The thought of more wildfire smoke is miserable.
The time when I appreciate natural beauty the most is in April/May, when everything turns green here in Pennsylvania. After a long, brutal winter, it's an indescribable relief.
It's been such a bummer of a winter for the majority of the east coast. I've been combatting the winter blues by sketching more and reading more books that interest me. And you're totally spot on about trying to appreciate the now while it's there before it's already gone.
I always wonder what creators do during the winter. Lately I’ve been trying to see the beauty in nature even on my commute to work everyday. It just makes me feel more appreciative and less stuck. I live in the Midwest and I think I’ve done every IL trail on all trails, but hey seeing them in different seasons, with different weather conditions, different people, it’s always a different experience. Thank you for inspiring others! ❤
I've had two incredibly difficult and long winters in a row. First in Northern Norway with darkness for 3 months in a row and then in the Faroe Islands (which wasn't neaaarly as idyllic as it sounds). I'm back in Southern Norway now, it's lare spring, it's warm, it's green and it's unfathomable. The sun hits my eyes and I smile. The light green of the leaves, and the smell of spring flowers. Cumulus clouds drift away and I sit in awe at the places they transport me. Hardship is tough, but I've never felt they way I have about home before this spring.
REALLY love this video. Incredible work dude! I am not in the arts at all and was able to relate to this. Keep up all the good work, the little details you put into your work is noticed!!
I found your channel recently and I'm glad i found it. I have recently started filmmaking, i like your work and you are an inspiration. Keep up the good work it's so beautiful and precious.
The Winter months are a challenge for sure!! I have chosen to embrace them I have gone out shooting with -30F wind chill temps. As crazy as it may sound, I enjoyed being out there BUT just for a few minutes at a time! Aidin, You AND Your work continue to inspire me.. THANK YOU!
This is a very encouraging video, Aidin! I have gone through a similar experience these past few months. Dead trees and overcast days made me feel like I was in a ditch, sitting around, accomplishing nothing. But a few weeks back, I saw a snowstorm on the forecast for an area in West Virginia I had always wanted to see in the snow. So, I made the long trek home from my college and then from my home out to West Virginia to experience that area in the snow. It was magical, and I was super inspired and glad I did it. I actually just finished working on a little film I made from the time there that I just uploaded. It was a great bit of creative fuel for the fire that reminds me that there is beauty to be found everywhere if we look hard enough. God has made such a wonderful and beautiful world, I can't help but love it, even when the leaves are gone. If you ever find yourself up in the VA/WV area, don't be a stranger, I where all the cool fire towers and hiking areas are and would be more than happy to show you around!
I love these videos as a aspiring young filmmaker! thanks for making these videos! personally I love the winter and have completley the opposite problem
this video is really helpful for me. im from indonesia too that basically a tropical country, indonesia has also wet season that almost 3-6 months which make me feel burnout. everywhere i go just see a heavy rain and strong wind. because of that i just spent a lot of my time in home and do nothing. but since i watch this video i got a new insight about to solve this problem. thank you aidin!!
Dude I love your videos, you have really inspired me to get out and make my own content for real this time! And not just focus on the location and the cool factor but the deeper levels, like the story behind the location, the joy of experiencing it, and looking for more than just the highlight spots to get "the shot". So for that I thank you Aidin! Keep telling your stories and keep creating! :)
I can just copy /paste my comments... always a new and different way to tell a story and approach a video. Love the idea of seasons in your creativity. You can't just make bangers...
The winter scenery and the camping adventure seem so inviting and peaceful. It's fascinating to see the natural beauty of these places in their winter splendor, and your description of the experience adds even more depth to the visuals. Always love your creativity.
Thank you for your words. I have been in this creative winter recently, but I was calm because I experienced it many times and I knew I will come back more fulfilled and more energetic. Your cinematography and editing are amazing and inspiring as always
Hey man, I just want to tell you that you are such a good creator I love your videos so much and your videos, voice and just overall video theme just puts me in a relaxing mode. I have always been very jumpy and on edge my whole life and you have saved me fairly well with your calming voice. When are you going to post again, it has been 1 month since you posted the "Fire Lookout" video
Studying your videos and looking to make videos more like yours.i just made my channel and are very awkward and don't know what to talk about so I basically just do montages but I want to do things more like you. Love your videos
It's almost April and we are still getting snow in our area. Seems like winter has been moved a month forward. Instead of December to February it's more like January to March with the coldest weather. I'm so done with it.
I burnout. deleted all my videos and all my social networks accounts. can`t create anymore bocouse it don`t give feedback. I don't earn money and my videos don't bring me subscribers. your videos always inspired me and i always wanned shoot the same style but i guess i never do that.

Another beautiful and insightful video. And that morning sunrise was awesome as well as the scene as you were leaving the fire tower at 11:32.
Needed to hear this, thanks for sharing!
Completely agree with looking back on summer pics and having a different appreciation for the green scenery. Also beautiful sunrise.
