I had this exact blaster when i was a kid. Was the first thing i ever remember saving up for. Mine was a but different to yours. It shot those yellow darts with the purple sucking heads on. It also didn’t have that issue seating the darts in the shells. It worked really well for ages. Then the internals failed. But it was one of my favourite toys.
yea I had one when I was a kid was green and yellow instead of the nerf elite colors forget the darts it had but I rarely used it for that just to play war with friend without the risk of losing darts
I had the yellow and green version when I was a kid and I loved it used it so much I broke the lever mechanism and then took the whole thing apart to try to fix it and broke it more
As a bit of a firearms enjoyer, owner and shooter, i still enjoy seeing the creative ways your blasters mimic real firearms. I like seeing someone enjoy what they do. Big ups to you man
My childhood favorite. The original buzz bee purple and yellow darts were about 5mm shorter than elite darts, which is why you're having that issue. Back in the day it never had clearing problems.
That right there was my main blaster for my entire childhood. Painted the whole thing "wood" and brass, cut the barrel down, tried to make the mag more reliable. I loved the double barrel from the same era too. They were basically the only shell blasters around at the time
I had one forever ago as a kid, roughly when the Longshot first came out. I remember the prime being _absolutely_ savage and gritty. I craved it for so long, since I wanted a dartgun that operated like my favorite Henry rifle, but I was dissapointed. My favorite dartgun was a six shooter with an open front from what I _think_ was the same company. It too was hell to prime, but it outshot the early Mavericks and was less clumsily weighted too.
I had one and it worked flawlessly, it was my absolute favorite up until i lost pretty much all my shells and i couldnt find it in stores anymore. Now decades later i have a ar15 instead lol
I think i had one of these as a young buck. I would cut the darts in half and get a substantial increase in velocity. It was also much easier to load the darts into the shells
I had the original one growing up (still have it somewhere) and my favorite parts were the fact that the lever itself was made of solid metal, and the darts hit pretty hard compared to other blasters at the time
I had one of these as a kid when they were sold all over toysRus. Buzzbee made some really cool blasters. Another one was a double Barrel shotgun that used the same shells. was great
Using any magazine fed, shell ejecting buzzbee blasters, I always just single loaded them or trimmed down the darts. I had a bolt action shell ejector that I used as a single shot
I remember finding one of these at a thrift store without the mag for 3$, I had plenty of buzzbee shells around the house when I was a kid so I'd spend my time scavenging up shells and using it as a breach loader
No clue if its been said but if you use the 3d printed shells it actually runs surprisingly nice, fits normal darts and since no dart peg or AR fits Halfs too. The shells are floating somewhere on thingiverse
Whenever a dart did that I would always call it a failure to eject moment and mess with the gun until I got it unstuck. Added some realism to our ww2 reenactments
Considering Buzzbee Suction darts were significantly shorter than other darts, I'm not surprised the heads get stuck when using anything else. Most satisfying ejection though.
I used to have one or something similar mine was yellow and orange I believe and I've only had the issues with the jams when my dart broke or I just half ass put it in as a kid but yeah no my shells held well and so on also I used to have the double barrel shotgun with same shells I loved them both
I managed to find one of these on a shelf at Walmart without any packaging and only a bar code. I’m guessing a customer or someone didn’t want it and just left it there, I bought the thing and it still functions. This was a year or two ago, aka way beyond shelf life. 😂
Mine broke as a kid, I wish I never got rid of it or my dad would've tried to fix it...I could fix it easily now and it was such a cool gun. I'd buy one if they still sold it.
Yeah this was my favorite gun to grab even if I was just playing make believe the shell ejection & the magazine + the lever action this was my sniper,AR OR shotgun only difference was the blue plastic was green 👌
Standard .50 cal darts are too long to work reliably in this blaster, the original darts are just a bit shorter. I have a double shot that takes these same shells and while it can fire regular darts, they won’t fit in the stock for storage. I’ve broken out the dart pegs and cut ~3/4 length darts to fit nicely. They can also take 1/2 length darts if you manage to get the entire dart post out. 1/2 lengths are super cool because they can be completely covered by the shell making it super durable
I have one of these, I made my own shell for it out of barrel from another blaster that I hacked off + part of an air restricter because I lost the shells. It worked better than the shitty buzzbee shells and I still have the shell to this day.
Have one of those even now, but needs to be repaired a bit, lever wont close unless the mags in or i hold down on the plastic guide part thing inside, also wont prime to fire, otherwise still in good condition and loaded with empty lil orange shells
I can tell that you’ve never operated an actual legendary levvy by the way you operate the lever But it’s alright cause both of us have big fingers mad respect for even trying
I am remember having a extremely powerful double barrel "nerf" gun, you'd have to put the darts in similar shells to these and they'd eject when reloading.
Dude, please see this comment, you should really try the Winchester Model M1887 Lever Action one, and I’m talking about that sweet purple one and not all the other crappy knockoffs. It is 100 bucks tho, but it’s pretty worth it, the whole priming system is metal and even the plastic is had to break and thick. You should get it.
"You really gotta shove that in, to the point where you are mashing it down" "That would open up the breach, now you just gotta slide it in. It's gotta go in just right." Bro's choices of words are interesting 💀
I have two of these things. One works and one doesn't. And for one, you are using the wrong type of dart. Those look a little longer than standard buzzbee stick dart. But you are right it is satisfying to use
I got the original. It wasn't as bad as this one, but it is uncomfortable because the lever was cold metal. I really wish they used plastic, but the Rapid Fire Tek Walked so the Slingfire could run.
I’ve never had an original experience
Same here!
I've got one just like yours and it's never failed in the 18 years I've had it
Straight up, I want another one so bad man, most fun I've ever had with this type of thing
yea I had one when I was a kid was green and yellow instead of the nerf elite colors forget the darts it had but I rarely used it for that just to play war with friend without the risk of losing darts
I had the yellow and green version when I was a kid and I loved it used it so much I broke the lever mechanism and then took the whole thing apart to try to fix it and broke it more
Lmao same
Same
Same here 😭
Same
We all did that
I had a bolt action one that worked like a dream when I was a kid. Was the best thing ever.
Yeah the hawk something I think it was called. I loved that thing. Just the feel of the shell ejecting from it was what made me love it so much
Same
i got a bolt action one
I loved using that. It was one of my favorites aside from the centurion
As a bit of a firearms enjoyer, owner and shooter, i still enjoy seeing the creative ways your blasters mimic real firearms. I like seeing someone enjoy what they do. Big ups to you man
same here, im trying to make blasters with casings and taking notes of real firearms and see what i can use for these blasters ^^
My childhood favorite. The original buzz bee purple and yellow darts were about 5mm shorter than elite darts, which is why you're having that issue. Back in the day it never had clearing problems.
I had the upgraded version of this that fixed the ejection mag issue and worked like a dream, hands down the coolest blaster I ever owned.
I had 2 of these blasters when I was growing up, never had that failure to feed you were talking about, but man was it easy to loose those shells!
That right there was my main blaster for my entire childhood. Painted the whole thing "wood" and brass, cut the barrel down, tried to make the mag more reliable. I loved the double barrel from the same era too. They were basically the only shell blasters around at the time
Man, you got yourself a realistic gun, where it either gets a double feed or jams on its own.
I had one forever ago as a kid, roughly when the Longshot first came out. I remember the prime being _absolutely_ savage and gritty. I craved it for so long, since I wanted a dartgun that operated like my favorite Henry rifle, but I was dissapointed.

I had the original one growing up (still have it somewhere) and my favorite parts were the fact that the lever itself was made of solid metal, and the darts hit pretty hard compared to other blasters at the time
I absolutely loved the shell ejection as a kid I had the lever guns and the double barrel
Use to have one of these as a kid it was the coolest thing cuz at the time.i was use to some early nerdy guns with no shells
We had one of these growing up as kids and all we did to fix the feed issue was just cut a little bit off the end of the dart.
I had this and the original double fire when I was a kid.
Both were excellent toys at the time.
The lever's sound😩✨✨
I had one of these as a kid when they were sold all over toysRus. Buzzbee made some really cool blasters. Another one was a double
Barrel shotgun that used the same shells. was great
My childhood dart gun, I loved that thing. Now I'm loading real shells.
Had one as a kid. We pretended they were BARs. Such a awesome blaster
I’m actually surprised it wasn’t super popular that was my absolute favorite blaster as a kid
I had a yellow/green one. It was my cousin’s, actually. I have it stored away somewhere. A mag-fed lever-action rifle is an interesting idea.
try half length darts, i had a buzzbee double barrel that used the same shells, i use half lengths and it worked ok.
The original green and yellow sticky fat version was my first ever blaster as a kid!
I remember having this as a kid, god damn I kinda wish I kept that.
i have one from 2005 and it still works!
Thank goodness the Shellington Wingchester exists now!
Here’s an idea. Put half length darts in the shells.
Using any magazine fed, shell ejecting buzzbee blasters, I always just single loaded them or trimmed down the darts. I had a bolt action shell ejector that I used as a single shot
I had this one when i was wee!
Back when it was green and yellow
I remember finding one of these at a thrift store without the mag for 3$, I had plenty of buzzbee shells around the house when I was a kid so I'd spend my time scavenging up shells and using it as a breach loader
No clue if its been said but if you use the 3d printed shells it actually runs surprisingly nice, fits normal darts and since no dart peg or AR fits Halfs too.
The shells are floating somewhere on thingiverse
Buzz bee was my first toy gun company i bought from i bout a yellow magazine pull back but the back was green and you had to prime that
I had the buzzbee hawk, the lever Action rifle and i loved it. Besides not fireing over Like 3-4 Meters i never had a Problem as a child 😂😂
Looks like one those blasters that work best with shortened/half darts.
Yo i had this as a kid hands down the best and collest put there
I love the buzbee shells in a double barrel shotgun I got as a kid, Yk the over and under one
I had that as a kid it brought back good memories thank you
Whenever a dart did that I would always call it a failure to eject moment and mess with the gun until I got it unstuck. Added some realism to our ww2 reenactments
Considering Buzzbee Suction darts were significantly shorter than other darts, I'm not surprised the heads get stuck when using anything else.
Most satisfying ejection though.
Get some 3d printed parts for that and itll load, fire and reload like a dream
You can um, move the tube into a lower position… it gets pretty powerful
I think mine was green, loved this thing as a kid.
I had one, now I’m designing a shell ejecting lever action firing mega darts
They were better 15 years ago, I had many and even had a lever action water gun that looked similar.
The best part was always the sturdy metal lever.
Mod the shells and shorten the darts so thyre flush with the opening of the shells and ittle be way more better
AHHH I HAD ONE OF THESE! Green and yellow
Yeah this was my favorite gun to grab even if I was just playing make believe the shell ejection & the magazine + the lever action this was my sniper,AR OR shotgun only difference was the blue plastic was green 👌

One of my first blasters I always did that terminator flip with it it
I got a sawed off predator. Love it.
Probably work better as a breechloader just one shell and pull trigger, then put one shell just one shell at a time
You could cut a little of the back of the darts to make the blaster cycle the rounds better
he got the scattergun tf2 irl
I had the bolt action one, always thought the shells sounded sick
Ayyyy I got one of those when I was little!
I have one of these, I made my own shell for it out of barrel from another blaster that I hacked off + part of an air restricter because I lost the shells.
It worked better than the shitty buzzbee shells and I still have the shell to this day.
Shortened the foam bullet but make it abit heavier to compensate the length
I have this one but it was spray painted black for a Wild West movie and photoshoot
Have one of those even now, but needs to be repaired a bit, lever wont close unless the mags in or i hold down on the plastic guide part thing inside, also wont prime to fire, otherwise still in good condition and loaded with empty lil orange shells
I managed to model and 3-D print my own shells that work significantly better, so this guy might be viable for me lol
It would be cool if you could just load one shell at a time. Love the vids thanks
I had that buzz bee smoking shotgun the best toy I even had
I can tell that you’ve never operated an actual legendary levvy by the way you operate the lever
But it’s alright cause both of us have big fingers mad respect for even trying
I am remember having a extremely powerful double barrel "nerf" gun, you'd have to put the darts in similar shells to these and they'd eject when reloading.
Lever action? GIVE ME YOUR ENTIRE STOCK
Use smaller darts and mod the shells to be thick on the out to stay on the mag
I think if you shorten the darts a little will work just fine👌
I own this brand new and its just a plinker to me. Same for the double barrel
I rather use that as a dry fire plinker just because how cool it is
PLEASE try and mod this. Make it better 😂
I have a classic green/yellow/orange and the mag was different, didn’t have these types of problems
I remember when these were green and orange.
There's 2 these at my camp
I didn't know what kind of magazine it took
But it was also stuck being primed...
Which was a shame
You could always try shortening the darts, maybe they’d chamber without jamming
Saw it off. Ad better spring, half length darts, nice and better stock adjustability, add rails. Blaster gud
It kinda looks like the BAR
Would make a good integration
Switch out the long nerf bullet to the short ones it would work trust me
Dude, please see this comment, you should really try the Winchester Model M1887 Lever Action one, and I’m talking about that sweet purple one and not all the other crappy knockoffs. It is 100 bucks tho, but it’s pretty worth it, the whole priming system is metal and even the plastic is had to break and thick. You should get it.
ill take a look ty
I saw Demoman's Grenade Launcher in the background
Maybe use 3D printed shells made for short darts or use .50 cal foam balls for some of the problems.
Love the video, have you ever thought about doing reading asmr or even just talking asmr? Would love to see it.
3D printer: hello? Can I not help?
Saw it down and I will take it
had the same thing as a kid but different color.. don't remember it sucking this bad lol
Id honestly just mod it into a prop, that thing'd be sick in a space western
"You really gotta shove that in, to the point where you are mashing it down"
"That would open up the breach, now you just gotta slide it in. It's gotta go in just right."
Bro's choices of words are interesting 💀
Does it work with half length darts
I have two of these things. One works and one doesn't. And for one, you are using the wrong type of dart. Those look a little longer than standard buzzbee stick dart. But you are right it is satisfying to use
I got the original. It wasn't as bad as this one, but it is uncomfortable because the lever was cold metal. I really wish they used plastic, but the Rapid Fire Tek Walked so the Slingfire could run.
Og buzzbee darts were a hair smaller than modern elite darts
Try The Adventure Force Half Length darts that would help with the Smashed darts
I could be wrong as i haven’t used my nerf/buzzbee guns in awhile but weren’t the buzzbee darts the suction cup darts?
Damn this song goes hard
Bro I actually like your videos and would love to see more. I am a custom designer for nerf. And would love some ideas.
Plus, it's a springer
