Well to be fair, Emily got stamped in France 3 times (that professor dude in Season 1, Camille’s under aged brother, and of course, Gabriel)!
Alfie is the best man. Funny, kind, honest, sexy, reliable, loyal and smart. He never bullshitted Emily. I hope we see him more in part 2
Alfie deserves so much better, especially than Emily. However, she and Alfie had a chance to grow organically from the start and it developed into this legitimate relationship with lots of chemistry. She had so much natural chemistry with Alfie, and not just in the bedroom but whatever they were doing and had fun while attdening French language class, hanging out around Paris, eating at restaurants, attending both their respective work events...though it was more Emily's, staying at each other's places. Alfie would also seem happy around her and made her laugh and was naturally affectionate. He also communicated and held her accountable which she needed. With Gabriel, Emily was always throwing herself at him and pursuing him...he never was very affectionate or initiated any kissing. They seemed like good friends by mid S2 and all of S3. Gabriel also lied point blank to Alfie saying he wouldn't get ín the way of their relationship and didn't have feelings for her and they turn around in the Masquerade episode and did a 180. And you could see there she was more carefree and happy with Alfie. Alfie deserves a loyal good girl who doesn't lie or play mind games after Emily broke his heart twice!
And Camille is a crazy, unaccountable, vindictive, deceitful, sociopath who can't let go of Gabriel.
I'd be going for Antoine or that delicious new Italian man!
I'm reserving judgment until I see what guy #3 is like, LOL! 😂

This show has ZERO stress level and it's a great show if you're feeling sad and stressed out and don't want to think about the hard stuff, and just catch a break from work, school and personal problems. I'm starting to accept why this type of show exists- and I use it to my own benefit. It's such a comfort show.

After living so many things with Gabriel, I didn't feel like he ever fought for Emily. A breath of fresh air and a new beginning with Marchello seems great! Also, closer to real life, and well, Rome and Marchello's family welcomed Emily with love, she deserves a clean romance just for her, gosh, to leave behind what didn't work. Gabriel can also accept and start over, that would be the best.

i think the reason is so they get paid more from the viewers. if someone only want to watch emily in pairs and subscribes to neflix for that but then the entire thing comes all at once, then netflix will get only 1-month of subscription money. but by splitting it they'll get twice the amount of money. just a theory

They casted Genevieve so perfectly. You can tell from the beginning there's a little devil behind her sweet smile. And she rocks those bangs!

Definitely! So Gabriel deserves better than Camille - she’s a master manipulator. Emily deserves better than Gabriel - 2 seconds after she said their relationship wouldn’t last, he mourned by getting back together w/ex gf & warm body, Camille, having her move in w/him. Alfie deserves better than Emily - she wasn’t all in, secretly pining for Gabriel, even though Alfie gave her a couple of outs & asking her not to break his heart. All of these people need to end up with new people or maybe alone so they can be better versions of themselves. At this point the only one I’m rooting for is Alfie to get his socks (& shirt) knocked off by someone he’ll have an even deeper love for & chemistry with than Emily.

She left Gabriel for Sofia, but she chose to be near Gabriel because she thought she was having his baby, which ruined her relationship with Sofia. Now that she knows it was a false pregnancy, she still wants to keep Gabriel despite breaking up with him in front of her family and friends? Girl needs to make up her mind. She broke up Emily and Alfie, now she'll break up Emily and Gabriel. If Emily and Gabriel break up again in the season finale, I'm so done with this show. This is supposed to be a guilty pleasure, not a frustrating headache.

I cried so much for Emily when she was crying next to the Church after Alfie left. Throughout the show they show that Emily just wants to love and be loved! She was very frustrated that Gabriel was most often time a dumb, who doesnt know clear boundaries, good at least he made it clear with that new girl. He really never tried to pursue Emily, be there for her. Never. Alfie was a great man, but he admitted Emily never chose him. But this Marcello seems to be cool, open, decisive, warm, caring, and strong (not a whining guy like Gabriel). And Emily and Marcello really vibe together, match made in heaven! Their personalities and even physically they resemble!

Okay you know what?! I’m here for this!!! Emily in Rome is exactly what we needed. Paris has become way too toxic for her, so Rome is honestly refreshing for Emily. She has to end up with Marcello because he’s exactly what she needs right now. There’s no drama with him, and I like him. Please don’t mess this up because he looks like the real deal. Emily needs to choose what’s right and healthy, at this point, without Alfie or Gabriel (even if my initial choice for her was Alfie). It already feels like the end of an era, though, because of Sylvie hiring a new American as if to replace her because Emily is clearly done with Paris. I love this show so much omg it’s my guilty pleasure and I don’t care what anybody says 😭❤️

However, Emily and Alfie had a chance to grow organically from the start and it developed into this legitimate relationship with lots of chemistry. She had so much natural chemistry with Alfie, and not just in the bedroom but whatever they were doing and had fun while attdening French language class, hanging out around Paris, eating at restaurants, attending both their respective work events...though it was more Emily's, staying at each other's places. Alfie would also seem happy around her and made her laugh and was naturally affectionate. He also communicated and held her accountable which she needed. With Gabriel, Emily was always throwing herself at him and pursuing him...he never was very affectionate or initiated any kissing. They seemed like good friends by mid S2 and all of S3. Gabriel also lied point blank to Alfie saying he wouldn't get ín the way of their relationship and didn't have feelings for her and they turn around in the Masquerade episode and did a 180. And you could see there she was more carefree and happy with Alfie. Alfie deserves a loyal good girl who doesn't lie or play mind games after Emily broke his heart twice!
And Camille is a crazy, unaccountable, vindictive, deceitful, sociopath who can't let go of Gabriel and he can't let go of her.
I'd be going for Antoine or that delicious new Italian man!

You could definitely find a more good looking Italian man to compete with Gabriel. I went to Rome and it had the highest density of good looking men, I was turning my head around everywhere. Even the older police officers were good looking but the young ones were GQ magazine ready. Gorgeous!
