I once commented that Wild Harvest feels at times like poetry, and now you've put your own songs/poems into the show. I firmly belief that Wild Harvest is the best thing you've ever made, and I'm very thankful for you and Chef Paul bringing it to us.
Another good indicator for Apples/crabapple trees is the branches have small protrusions that look like thorns with the tips blunted. Also, as an editor myself, REALLY loving all the new shot types and cinematography going on in this season!
BIG TIME Beatles vibes from Walk in the Wilderness, in the absolute best way possible. It's like the spring sun finally arrived in Here Comes the Sun, and Walk in the Wilderness is a serene walk through the beautiful change of autumn. Thank you, Les.
people aren't exaggerating when they say this is the best series you've made thus far. you got me hooked on survivorman. now you spoil me with this. to many more adventures man!
I'm in absolute Awe. Every single episode you manage to leave me in utter speechlessness with the amazing ingredients and beauty of the meals that are created by mother nature's bounty.
Reminds me of a house that was abaonded for years where I live. When they finally tore it down, they left the property as is. The original owners had planted Apricot, Pear and Peach trees. Every year we would go over to the property and get enough to make about 50 jars of jam and plus some to eat as is. Fantastic! Of course they have all been removed now.
@@Shmew455r The land the house was on, General Motors reclaimed and they developed the land. The house was built on a section that GM had for sale years and years ago. Once the house was gone they just reclaimed it.
I love your dogs Les, it’s always great to see them in a video! I’m just at the part when harvesting the crab apples! This season has been wonderful so far!
We have a crab apple tree that my sister planted at my parents' home when we were kids and if you catch the apples at the right time, when they are on the riper side, they taste like straight up normal delicious apples, just in a mini-version.
we had a red jewel crab apple tree at our old house, i made some red jewel jam, it was so good, my childhood home also had a pear tree in the back field, i still remember they were so much better than anything at the store.
Hey compared to me who grew up in the city with money it kinda sounds to me like you were rich in a completely different and amazing way. I wish I grew up being able to harvest things from nature. I also hope your financial situation have improved or continues to get better.
This is absolutely awesome!! I'm from the Pacific NW and you can run into several old homesteads as depicted in your program. The neat part is you don't always know what you will get, apples, pears, peaches, cherries or plums. I have to say those apples would make a fine brandy 😅 Looking forward to watching the next program.
Just made my first ever kickstarter pledge to support your film. I’ve always had a fascination with Bigfoot and other phenomena, but even more than that- I feel it is the least I could do to give back to someone who entertained, educated, and inspired me since I was 10 years old in 2005. Thanks for the memories Les, and I can’t wait for more!
There are crab apple trees all over where I'm at. I counted over twenty of them just along the road I drive to work on every day. Nobody ever picks them. There's free, delicious fruit just growing along the side of the road, and they just get ignored. It's kind of sad really.
This is a very interesting series and very well made. But it is often so cringe to watch, that its sometimes hard not to keep the finger on the skip button. You should really concentrate more on information, fun and the ingredients themselves than this whole cringe pretentious "deep meaningful emotional artsy" stuff. Its just annoying and takes away from the actually interesting stuff.
Well I'll be damned....red crab apples 🤯🤯...i never seen a red one before.... around here the crab apples are tiny n green...an there give you explosive diarrhea....they don't taste good either 💯...there bitter n sour as HELL👀...there not bad with a pd of salt 🤔...but not worth seeking out
Loved this episode, Paul nailed it such a unique way of using the crab apples. I'm offgrid in northern Ontario, and have debated fruit trees, question do you think it will attract that many bears? Either way your series has made me and my explore and truly enjoy what the forest has to offer. We found candy cap mushrooms for the first time this year. Not sure if you ever had them but Paul would be able to do something special I think

It's always a good day when a new episode of Wild Harvest drops
I click like before the video even beings. It isn't possible for me to not like an episode of this series.
This series is the best thing you have ever made. Loving every episode

I really love the addition of Paul's commentary while he is cooking! Makes following his story in the kitchen a lot more engaging!
World class show, the professionalism, the art, the craft. This is peak videography.
Thank You Les🙂💙👍

This was better than church. Thank you, Les.
From the music to the editing to the anything this series offers, you know it's going to be great all around.
I'm in absolute Awe. Every single episode you manage to leave me in utter speechlessness with the amazing ingredients and beauty of the meals that are created by mother nature's bounty.
Another episode, another like. 👍
Les is an expert at flavours! He really breaks things down. But it helps having Paul working his magic with wild edibles!
I love wild harvest hi Les hi Paul wow Les you're a great singer
outstanding video as always. love the idea of the show
The best duo on TH-cam💯💯💯
Can't beat this lifestyle.

Why removed?

Amazing camera work pluse a song. Don't know how it could be better

Great episode guys!! Thanks for being such a great role model!
The music is spot on.
My mouth watered the whole time he was cooking. I bet that sauce would be delicious on a grilled pork chop too.
Love the Wild Harvest series. Keep up the great work.
I'm loving it 👍
My grandma always had her crab apple jelly/jam in stock!
Best show ever made.
When you walk in the wilderness where you life isn’t such a mess that’s a brilliant line
man you are cranking these out. I love it! keep em coming!
We have a crab apple tree that my sister planted at my parents' home when we were kids and if you catch the apples at the right time, when they are on the riper side, they taste like straight up normal delicious apples, just in a mini-version.
Love these things!
My parents just sold their house, but we used to harvest crab apples every year!
we had a red jewel crab apple tree at our old house, i made some red jewel jam, it was so good, my childhood home also had a pear tree in the back field, i still remember they were so much better than anything at the store.
Hey, long time viewer love the harvest content ❤
My mom and dad had trees that grew them, up to 12 buckets a year. I used to always hate picking them! This is making me nostolgic for it, though.
Nicely done
Ahh foraging is fun yet the yummy fruits and vegetables
Surviver man days of little to no food for four five days is over . Time of feast well deserved for you my friend .
I use apple butter in baked beans and chili comes on sweet then warms up! Great video👍
Never foraged for mushrooms but have enjoy some from others. They are fascinating. Surprised you never had these before.
Growing up poor we would often eat the crab apples and huckleberries that grew on the edge of our schoolgrounds.

Another great episode
Another banger episode that made me hungry 😊
Getting a bit of Neil Diamond in your singing voice there Les.
Doggo liked the apples 🍎

Queen ann spiced crab apple in a jar. Something from yesteryears. Haven’t seen it for ever.
I always thought you waz cool...
Bear is a whimp with his 5 man crew and ordered pizza lol...
Let's GOOO
Can't wait for some new content
I am excited!!!! been wondering what to do with the crab apples!
The only problem with crabapple is its acidity, compared with an apple.
These make great preserves.
Please put the episode and season in the title so we can know when they are new ones and look them up easy. :)
You are a true polymath
14:47 classic Survivorman vibe + music. Also, when is Walking in the Wilderness going to be released? It sounds so beautiful, I love it!
I do love the show - but I have never heard of anyone putting ketchup in mac n cheese lol - Looked yummy though! Great work guys :)
Very common here in Canada, at least in Ontario.
even in this show, when you see a camera man, its shocking. So many years of watching Les with no cameraman lol.
I bet that crabapple ketchup would be delicious on grilled pork chops.
Ya heir in Australia its like they got a lawn mower n just mowed everything.. breaks your heart. The English just dont have a clue buddy.
OMG!!!! PLEASE let me know the next time you have an empty seat at your table!!!!!!!!!
" I use to eat 4 a day when I was pregnant with my child, 😊
I thought Crab apple trees had thorns?
I watch this show on the Italian channel each morning.
"what goes best with ketchup? Mac n cheese!" You guys eat mac n cheese with ketchup?
Always thought crab apples were sour

.. !!
To live alone one must be an animal or a god
I think a slider would have gone very well with the 1st dish. I've never paired mac n cheese with ketchup lol. Sounds gross
Uwu
HM..I dont know about this one. I mean its just apples.....
Love Wild Harvest, just wish I didn't have to hear Les singing. He's good but I feel like it's just market bs. I prefer the instrumentals.
Who eats ketchup with their Mac cheese on purpose? That’s aboot the farthest two things on the menu that shouldn’t meet.
