Nowadays most of the NCC cadets are focusing on how to get ranks instead of personality development and learning.
They do camps for ranks and badges not for learning, in my opinion, learnings are long-lasting, not the ranks or badges.

NCC changed my life. It was lockdown in my state when i was class 9 and I was completely anti social because of no social interactions at all for months. Then one of my teacher suggested ncc enrolment in a whatsapp group. I had no intention of joining because it required a lot of social interactions. But my mother insisted that I join so I did as she said. It wasn't even fun at the beginning. I didn't even talk to anyone. I would feel very exhausted because of people. But after about a week, I thought since I'm doing this anyway, might as well try to have fun. So I started talking to people and after a month, we had a sport event for ncc and went there. I started feeling good because all my seniors were so good to me and the cadets didn't feel like normal school students. They were much more kind! And after a month we had gone to trekking and even fired guns. I realized at that time that I was developing a sense of adventure in me. NCC helped me see the better world that I didn't know was there. I love NCC. I preferall the tough journeys and adventures with my new friends now. I became better academically for the sake of NCC. It had helped me escape many of my fears and I even do public speaking now. It gave me confidence. I will be an NCC cadet for as long as I can now and use my experience to become successful. Ranks also must changed your personality because after wearing ranks you have responsibility and you have a power to control the cammand some times and also you control your juniors

Currently iam not interested in appointments now iam chasing camps . Just one year in NCC . Completed ATC,ARMY ATTACHMENT and got selected in treaking camp next month 😊 . NCC is addiction

@@aryansingh4455 based on vaccancy . If vacancy is low then they will conduct interview or senior/a.n.o select cadets from college . 106 cadets are participating in attachment camps . We get minimum 2 vaccancy in college

Very well said senior, the aim of each camp is to inculcate qualities in cadets like time management, team spirit, discipline etc., If someone didn't get ranks in NCC it doesn't mean they are incapable leaders, because nobody knows tomorrow what they may get, some cadets can become a good Chief Minister, IPS officer , Brave officer in Armed Forces etc.in near future So cadets who are reading this must not feel bad if you didn't get ranks , but we must keep learning and move ahead in life .

May agr apne personal experience se bolu toa kuch cadets asay bhi hai ki woh rank laga ke toa ajate hai infact woh camp may bhi rank dal ke chale jate hai lekin unko ushh rank ka full form he nhi pata hota hai.
Inke upar naa koi karbai hoti hai naa kuch aur yehi cadets 2-3 yrs baad boltay firthay hai ki may ek EX-NCC cadet tha lekin knowledge kya?! 0 (Zero) kiuki jitnay din bhi may enrolled tha NCC may bhas rank ke pichay bhaga badges ke pichay bhaga (jinh badges ka asliyat may koi existence he nhi hai) har ek din har ek class.
Bassh mujhay lagta hai ki agr ishh problem ko hamay tackle karna hai toa ANO aur PI Staff inhh batoa may active hona hoga kiuki inhoa ke sath he cadets sabse jada baat hoti hai yehi apne Battalion aur Cadet ke bichh ki link hotay hai. Aur innhmay se bhi sabsay jada active hona hoga cadets ko, apne upar .
Agr mera baat acha lagay toa soch ke dekh saktay hai yah naa lagay toa chor saktay hai .

Are RDC cadets authorized to wear ranks without issued by the units... Because I've seen a lot of cadets doing this... Even wearing SCC rank in 2nd year just because they're attended RDC... I've no idea if it's authorized or not... Can u please tell me?

It depends upon which service you like Army Navy or AIRFORCE
All are good but army wing has tougher training from what I have seen.

Gentleman, Iam from Kerala. In my battalion they have special rank CSM(Company Sergeant Major) and BUO( Battalion Under Officer). Why these ranks are not available in other battalions.
