I think it would be a good idea to do what you did for your first video and just consider yourself starting from scratch and sit down and give yourself 1 week to make a solid UI for one of your games, one you are proud of. It is definitely something you would look back on and thank yourself for.

Coming from a unity background the idea of you making most of the game without coding is just... Wow. I wish unity had a good visual scripter but it forces me to learn the hardddd shit even if i rlly don't wanna.

I personally find many people (not just you) spend a lot of precious jam time on menus, which could otherwise be spent on more important things (such as more decorations, obstacles and gradual increase of difficulty (more harder obstacles, forward speed increase, etc.))
I partially agree with you... But on the other hand, first impressions are extremely important, if the menu is complete dodo the first impression is ruined and then other bugs and problems will stick out way more aswell... Also... I just took long because I suck at making proper game menus... I really don't like doing it too xD

Just start immediately, unless you have actual menu functionality (New game, Save, Load, Settings, etc.), which most jam games don't have anyway

Hey Floky I do have a quick question. How are you able to speed up the level as you continue playing?
That's pretty easy, I add or multiply my ball speed by a very low number every tic (or a set time using the delay node)

take regular backups dude also in future try removing the default editor level out of the default.engine.ini file so you can at least open the project and try to fix stuff

holy shit please turn down the saturation on your camera, I've been enjoying your videos so far, but the amount of colour in the face cam just make it feel like some eerie acid trip, also I'd suggest using less stock footage if you can, since that makes the videos feel less personal 🙏
