I have been watching you for a while now. Well, think I have almost watched them all now. I have spent much of my life alone. So watching you all is like I have a family. I so much love you all. And to see your dreams come true makes me so very happy. I fall asleep sometimes watching and wake up and you're still going. So I think I am helping you all a lot. I do enjoy the presents and the surprise of what's in them. I don't know if I will ever get to come to France, but you will be the first place I will come to. Not just as a guest but to help in some way. I love the dishes also. I am an artist. Not much I have not tried or done. What fun you all have. I know you all work very hard also. Please hug everyone from a 72-year-old fan.
….and a wonderful world wide family we all are. I live on my own and an artist too Georgia ….however feel like all of you are only down the road. ☕️🥰 If you ever get to South Australia you would be welcomed with open arms. 🤗
The courtyard has really made the chateau, so to speak. In the earlier pictures it looked so grey and dull and rather dead, but now it looks bright, lively, and inviting!
I don't like those lime trees there - I think they're in the wrong place they make the area look muddled. They might have made a great statement leading out from the raised patio
So sad to see this episode end. This was breathtakingly lovely. Countless times I have heard you mention a border around the chateau in the courtyard, and now it's there. So gorgeous. What a wonderful surprise. What a treat this episode was!
I think the most endearing attribute you bring to us Stephanie is your ability to enjoy the process of transformation and appreciate each small and large measure of progress. You have such joy in the daily rhythm! The shear volume of effort and work you put in thus far is amazing and very inspiring. The trees in the courtyard are brilliant and really frame it in a very special way. Cheers to you and your fellow travelers. Thank you for including us in your journey. P.S. the fact that you allow yourself to be filmed while wearing your shower cap is also quite endearing. Keeping it real. I love that about you.
Stephanie, merci beaucoup for this video! I enjoyed watching the process, especially with all of the La Landers raking the gravel. Finding out that votre pere bought the fountain makes the courtyard that much more meaningful. Blessings from USA, Marie-Christine. 🙏💙
Oh Stephanie! It is so important to go back in some of these vlogs and remind/enlighten us of some of the special nuances of how things came to be with Lalande…I adore seeing your mommy and hearing more stories about your father! I’m crazy about you Lalanders and with vlogs like this one, I shall never tire of you all! Gods Blessings ❤️🥰
Stephanie, I must say that your yellow dress is beautiful - looks great on you and I love your hair down. It softens you - looks really nice. The Chateau is stunning.
Your vlog has enriched my life in so many ways. I bought a whole wardrobe of designer clothes from a second hand store, GoodWill, and wear them every day. I bought Chrystal decanters for my dining room table, and my friend says my home looks fancy. I have added plants to my garden, and have made travel videos to share with friends and family. I’m even learning to cook better. Thank you, Stephanie, for improving the quality of my life and bringing me joy,
I'm 66 yrs. old now. And like others I've been alone all my life. Thank you for invited us into your life. Even though I have never met you. I feel like your a far away sister. Live you all. From USA Maine
Great job Grant, harvesting stone from around the grounds to border the Chateau. The courtyard is looking so charming. Fun to see familiar faces chipping in the renovation! Like we tend to say in the midwest....".love what you're doing to the place!"
This is amazing! And seeing the gravel being put down made such a difference in the courtyard. It's beautiful & such a lovely color! And those trees will create such a dreamy courtyard. OMGosh!
Stefanie…. I remember when the gravel arrived and how everyone chipped in to help, even your guest. Also everyone wearing robes and Dan’s robe made me laugh, you were able to make a hard job out to be fun with lots of laughter. GRANT…what a jewel you are, I have often thought the Château needed flowers or something closer and the border you put in was just what it needed. You are such a talented man and may I also say handsome? ☺️. The Courtyard is lovely and I am looking forward to what is next.🌹🌸💐🌺🌻🌼🥀
Wow what a beautiful transition from grey to bland to vivacious and “ hello here am I don’t I look lovely “ !!! I can’t wait to see that final picture. Kudos to all those who helped and made that experience beautiful.
What a transformation this year alone! The courtyard and the gardens in back of the chapel are just magical. My husband and I had plans to go to France, for our 57th anniversary. I wanted to meet all of you at LaLande, especially your mother. Dig in the gardens and pull weeds and plants some posies. But because of the lockdowns and other things, our dreams have been changed. So will keep watching, vicariously, wishing we were there! Blessings to all of you!👍🏻💕🇺🇸💐🌻🌼🌸
How lovely the transformation of your courtyard. I was thinking that you & your Mother must of cried when the fountain was installed. I wonderful gift to you both from your Father who had a vision of what it needed. You are incredibly fortunate to have found Davey, and with the help from Grant as well, your courtyard has evolved to the fair tale beauty of the Chateau.
My dear Stephanie, you are living your dream and step by step you are realising it, restoring this beautiful château and wonderful piece of French cultural heritage. And not only restoring and preserving it for posterity, but enhancing it and sharing it joyfully with us all. My deepest thanks, admiration and respect!
Your videos are amazing and I never get bored of them , I download them in my laptop and leave them there so when there's no wi-fi I can watch them ,and it's also quite nice to know that this renovation is my age "16". I started to watch your videos 2 years ago . They inspires me a lot as my dream is also to have a chateau . I wish one day I can visit this chateau "laland" .All love and appreciation for all the people who worked hard for this chateau .Your supporter from Sudan 🇸🇩🇸🇩🌹❤️
I love how Stephanie just lets us see her exactly how she is at any given moment. Standing at the window with a shower cap on? No problem! Her exuberance makes her inner beauty shine through.
Oh Stephanie. Your video got me emotional. Not only for all the work that have been done but the moments when all the people, friends, came down to help. I’ve bought my own property two months ago. It’s not a castle but a comfortable house with garden and little forest. As an artist, a shoe designer particularly, I come to your vids for an inspiration and smile. Always for smile on my cheek. Thank you for that, Stephanie and LLnders. Greetings from Czech 🌸💜
Stephanie I'm am so excited for you and your father's vision of saving this beautiful Chateau. The fountain and and the flowers and the border around the Chateau is just lovely. I can't wait to see what the future holds for you and all your wonderful friends. I'm also wishing the very best for you & Philip and your growing love for each other. God Bless. ❤ Kathy 🇺🇸
Watching this video made me cry. The emotion of you all having fun in your robes raking was when the tears started flowing. What an wonderful video to watch.
I think that is amazing how you take other artist's and designer's ideas and work them In to your area. It's great that other's around the world can feel some appreciation for their help as well... love it!
Stephanie you tell the story of Lalande´s courtyard so nicely. I can really feel the love. I´m so proud to have my roots in France from my father´s side, and that people like you and volonteers give so much of your time and your many skills to save these beautiful buildings that are parts of our common heritage. It was so touching this evening to watch back at Lalande´s outdoors. I simply love your father´s fountain for Lalande and its loud water sound! Everything comes so alive! Greetings to you, your family and the great working team.
you have found the building blocks for beautifying the courtyard! these "then" vs "now" videos are a great reminder of how far you have come since buying the chateau. the success is such a team effort. pats on the back all around! thanks for posting
Stephanie... I believe it's the people that make the home. The building is just the meeting place for all of us to bring our talents and make it live, love and laugh.
Hope we see Andie again soon and maybe some delightful courtyard artwork 😉💕. Nice to see Philip in the video working in the courtyard. Moving toward his 2nd year anniversary at LeLande.
Wow! The transformation of the courtyard over the years from dessert-like wasteland to the classic beauty it is today is nothing short of magnificent. Bravo to the teamwork of family and friends. Loved the scene of all workers raking the courtyard while wearing housecoats looking like a bunch of mad maids. LOL! Elizabeth, you are truly amazing and an inspiration. Much love ox
So perfect the way coming together in so many ways created this work of art for all to enjoy! If payed or volunteer or donated or simply watching from Canada as a subscriber it is a treasure thank you Stephanie and all supports!
This is a wonderful tribute to your father and his vision, he would be so proud of you and everyone for the hard work and dedication. I love your enthusiasum Stephanie, you make me feel so happy for you when watching these videos. Its going to take quite a while to catch up on the past videos, but I am sure I will enjoy them. Thank you 💕🇦🇺
DAVY has transformed ALL of the grounds that he has touched! Well done!! I have enjoyed watching him, since his first visit, gain his footing and find his comfort zone with the Lalande familly.
It has been a joy to see all the videos and the wonderful people who have helped and played with you. I know your father’s spirit is always watching and celebrating all the good things that have come to you and how much you deserve it.
What a delight it was to see the transformation of your courtyard, with family and volunteers and paid staff, all working to bring this beauty to life. Again thank you from all the people suffering in the Ukraine , for your kind gesture on the color you chose for the flowers you planted on the new edges by the château walls. Brilliant absolutely brilliant
All that footage seemed like it was from yesterday. I haven't missed an episode since spring 2020! What a worthy transformation the courtyard has had, it's beautiful. Well done all. Xx 🌳🌻🌼
You have a stunningly spectacular courtyard! It feels like it all transformed in just a brief minute. But of course it took years. And it will be there, evolving over the years for everyone to enjoy for years to come!!! 😊❤️🌺💐🌸🌻👏👏👏💡🎶🇨🇦🇫🇷
I adore the courtyard and having faith for Davy's vision is inspiring (he's so sweet). As an artist, I feel this is a wonderful way to showcase the value and result by employing artists and designers worldwide. Thank you also for making me feel like another one of your friends in the kitchen, thanks to the way you film your vlogs. Plus at the end I realise I have a big goofy smile on my face. Thank you for making me especially happy for that half hour. Hope you all have a lovely week.
I'm so happy, I have been waiting for a courtyard-evolution-episode for ages! It looks stunning, well done everyone! It just goes to show, you can transform anything with a vision!
Great job by all at Lalande to improve on Daddy's tribute fountain garden. I'm not sure how much actual shade Davey's trees will provide, but they certainly will provide much needed greenery and elevation. Grant's contributions to the courtyard border have greatly enhanced the overall space. The whole courtyard is becoming so esthetically beautiful that you may someday be recognized for the triumphant transformation from a barren plot of dirt to a majestic oasis of tranquility.
I loved seeing you develop your chateau courtyard. It is already such a happy place! Kudos to all who lent a hand at bringing even more beauty to LaLand!
Bravo to everyone who has had a hand in transforming the courtyard. It looks wonderful now and it will look even more magnificent in the years to come.
I think this video is such a loving tribute to your father's vision. Such joy and love! I really like Grant's lining of the beds with the stone's from behind the chapel -- what a nice surprise!
The transformation is astonishing. The pleached limetrees especially soften the facade of the chateau and I love the ever changing play of light and shadow they will bring to the courtyard. So much hard work from everyone!
I was scrolling through TH-cam and ran across this episode of The Chateau Diaries. Had to watch it again. Still am awestruck with the changes made in the court yard. I hope I am still around to see the finished product (almost 75 years old). I enjoy watching your vlogs and the changes you have made in you beautiful Chateau. Heartbroken about the Grand salon and the rooms above that have to be repaired before you go much farther. So glad Amaury was there to help you through such a devastating discovery. Know he and your architect will find solutions. Stephanie, you have come a long way from the beginning, don't give up. Remember your father's and your dream.
❤❤❤ Doing the court yard has been the best feature to the Chateau. It has added dignity to the old girl. All your gardens have improved greatly over the years. Can hardly wait to see the gardens completed. Good job all.
I have been watched all your videos during lockdown and marveled at how much and how you, mummy, and all the volunteers have come together to make LaLande what it is today. It’s going to be more beautiful transformations . I’ve enjoyed seeing the look back on the courtyard , it made me feel so happy and emotional too. It will be so good to have your mum and Percy come home to LaLand for awhile. I love what Grant did and Kirstie too with the granite border. This beautiful border enhances the edge of each flower bed. No, there is no other Aussie like Grant and I know he is married but think he is a sexy, handsome man. So glad he is visiting LaLand again. Stephanie your dad is smiling down on you and your vision from 16 years ago it all coming true. What a wonderful tribute to your Dad. Mummy must be so happy with all the beautiful gardening that is going on too. Much love from Elaine in Northern California. 🤗😘🙏💫💐❤️🌺🌸
Hey Stephane, I love your vlogs and and the adventures you are involved with in your beautiful Chateau. Glad to see you have finally started working on your lake bringing it back to life. I have another wonderful vlog I watch called Littlest Chateau the couple who own it are working hard on their renovations also, their main issue right now is wood worms in their wood beams up stairs in the Chateau. They are a great couple with 2 small children full of love and laughter that make me so happy to watch their Littlest Chateau vlog. Their numbers are really low so if you have a chance I would appreciate you mentioning them some time, they have had their Chateau only a year now but are trying hard to bring it back to its glory days. Kathy 🇺🇸
I adore your content. Stephanie has such a love for what she does and you can see the genuine love for her family and friends. I hope to visit one day. My husband and I ate quite handy.
It’s a magnificent transformation Stephanie. I’ve been following your journey since the start of pandemic, where it did not go down well for me mentally, but I found your channel to be a panacea at that time. It’s truly amazing how your love bounces back at you from all those that help to make your home even more beautiful and welcoming. ❤️
Great job everyone!! Grant, you did a lovely job!! The detail in your work is really an art. You are so inspiring, Steph! Thinking of your father and how he bought that fountain and had such a big dream for the château just hits me really hard (in the best way possible). Xo
I remember the time I started watching your channel there was only the fountain and the few border plants . Through the years and with the help of people that also love the chateau, all the work and care is paying off! Much love to Stephanie & Laland Family ❤️
I was pregnant during one of the COVID lockdowns in the uk and I cannot stress out how much the diaries helped me keep sane. Being constantly afraid for myself and my baby and feeling so isolated, I would start watching one of the videos and immediately be transported to the land of positivity. Thank you for sharing. You say that we help you by watching but you help us by uploading 🥰 Lots of love from someone very grateful!
Hello lovely lalanders ! It is so amazing To see the different stages of the evolution of the château ! So great! I enjoyed every minute of its transformation ! STUNNING ! Thank you very much for sharing with all of us your adventure ! Bisous from Alsace 😁😍😘😘😘
Stephanie, I generally being in Australia find you vlogs in the mornings. I enjoy a nice cup of tea and quiet time and enjoy myself watching. I have gone on this journey with you as many others have, The fountain was already in when I started watching, but I knew it was to commemorate your talented father that you love and miss so much. But all the other transformations I have watched and enjoyed so very very much. This truly bought a tear to my eye. A happy tear. I must patron soon. The only reason I have not already is because I did not want to be off and on with it. And I must volunteer as well. Id love it. The Chateau and its La Landers have bought so many joy in a terrible time of darkness. Thank you all x.
Mommy will be so excited to stand in this amazing courtyard and to gaze at its transformation. Le Landers need to have a reunion... Can we get an updated walk through of the ongoing projects... Dish room, Nattie's suite, Scotman's rooms, Grand salon, upstairs pink bathroom, etc. Is there more behind the scene updates for patron subscribers? Please let us know...🙏💏❤❤💟💝
I am so proud to be an aussie patron when we have Grant to represent us what a magnificent contribution he makes at la lalande Stephanie you should interview Grant to see what lead him to the chateau xoxo
So wonderful to watch the transformation of the courtyard fountain and all the plantings. It’s lovely now and will only be more lovely as the years go by and aging (with routine care) does it’s magic. Stephanie, I remember watching a video of yours from early in the pandemic and lockdown. You were in your bed, maybe having some tea? and joyfully chattering about your beautiful Chateau Lalande and whatever tasks you had before you. It gave me such a feeling of sweetness and light that I so badly needed to see at that time. For positive reasons, it does most of us so much good to watch regular doses of “normal” life going on but that are also filled with goals achieved, fun adventures, day-to-day pleasantries and kindness. Sadly, with our world turned so crazy (here in the U.S. and the atrocities in Ukraine 🇺🇦 😪)and so much political divide, chaos and happenings that would have been thought of as “unimaginable” not that long ago, many of us have likely given ourselves a “prescription” to watch channels like yours that provide us an “island of calm and sanity.” Thank you for your important contribution to this “video therapy” (not to mention the hard work of your family & regular staff, volunteers and just everyone else there with you.) And my very best wishes on all your endeavors, plans and dreams. You’ve accomplished so much and will no doubt continue to do so. (Please forgive a bit of excess here…I’ve included all the iPhone Emoji’s that I think relate to your videos. 👍😀) 🕊🐇🦔🐓🥚🦚🐑 🦃 🎄💐🌷🥀🌸🌼🌻🌳🌳🌳🍄☘️🪴🌿🪺🪵 🌈🌏🌞☀️💨❄️🌬🍓🥬🧅🧄🍅🥗🥕🍆🥒🍏🍐🍋🍑🫐🧺🛍👗👠🕺🏻💃❤️💋🎁 📦 🍞🥛🧀🥖🥔🥐🎂 🍰 🍖🍗🥓🥮🥗🍳🧈🧇🥧🍯🍷🥂🍸🛀🫖☕️🎨🖼🎼🎹🔧🔨🪜🛠🧰💸📦🇫🇷
Stephanie you can’t begin to imagine the joy you and everyone at LaLande has given to myself and so very many others! I have a VERY small group of flowers I attend, sometimes a few herbs as well. Watching the transformation of the gardens at LaLande lifts my heart when I discouraged about anything but especially problems with my plants. I step away from my difficulties and share in everything you all have been doing-it’s simply WONDERFUL! I come back to my own circumstances and see them with fresh eyes, able to then to push forward. One day, the heavens willing, I may visit LaLande to offer what ever I may. In the mean time-love to all of you from New England!
I have been watching you for a while now. Well, think I have almost watched them all now. I have spent much of my life alone. So watching you all is like I have a family. I so much love you all. 🥰Stephanie, those baby boxwoods that you first planted are a symbol of your tenacity!! 💖I’m glad you kept them!!💖
❤️
Watching again after all this time. Yes, still fabulous!
The courtyard has really made the chateau, so to speak. In the earlier pictures it looked so grey and dull and rather dead, but now it looks bright, lively, and inviting!
Just like the people!
I don't like those lime trees there - I think they're in the wrong place they make the area look muddled. They might have made a great statement leading out from the raised patio

Stunning transformation! ❤
Watching new life flow into the courtyard has been a joy to see. The fountain is a wonderful tribute to your late father. Bon chance!

One of your best episodes. It explained it so well.
So true.

Incredible borders Grant! Everyone there leaves their mark and it’s stunning. Can’t wait to eventually visit
The courtyard is looking absolutely stunning and going from strength to strength. 💙💛
Hello 👋 how are you doing?
its all looking wonderful nice to see an Aussie adding beauty . From this Aussie keep up the great work ,I look forward to seeing each Vlog
What a transformation and love your style! I laughed out loud at all of you in robes working in the courtyard! You are all so delightful!
Beautiful story of how the courtyard came about. I am now looking forward to the start of the story of the coming of the lake.
You say that we help you by watching but you help us by uploading 🥰
Lots of love from someone very grateful!
❤️❤️❤️
Well done Grant. The stone borders look fab 🙂. Love the courtyard 😍x
The courtyard looks inviting and beautiful.
❤️
Love it! Can't wait to see the render being redone - it'll make a spectacular difference!
The planters Grant put in, add another beautiful layer to the courtyard. It's been lovely to see the courtyard coming into it's own. x
I wholeheartedly thank you for this episode. I feel your pride in the accomplishment, and you are rightfully entitled to be proud. It's beautiful.
Please let us know...🙏💏❤❤💟💝
I’m currently filming Amaury’s birthday for this week’s patreon video, and next week will be a renovation update 😊

Grant is a results-oriented guy! What a great benefit to the chateau!
