  • In this video, “S12aE27 - World Toilet Day - Which is Best - American Standard VorMax® vs Kohler Cimarron® vs Toto Drake II®,” we look at price, warranty, design and function.
Here we look less at opinion (albeit there is inevitably some within) and more at a public resource which has relevant data on the flush performance of many popular models. Now, there is no distinction above 1 kg of soy paste but not all water closets can flush that much.

Hello: looking for advice. In a commercial setting having a problem with chronic clogging. Regular calling out plumber for snaking. Hard to determine the cause. Want to install toilets with the most water pushing volume/power. We’re suspicious that waste is running down pip and then settling leading to clogging. Thoughts?

I purchased the Kohler Cimarron 360° elongated and it works great. The swirl flush is similar to the American Standard. I have a perfectly working Kohler round toilet downstairs and I am looking for an excuse to replace with another Cimarron 360°elongated unit. The design really cleans and flushes the entire bowl.

sounds like they copied the Toto tornado flush.

I thourghly studied various toilets, and found the Toto Drake, or Drake II to be the best bang for your buck. Costco sells them, with the seat and wax ring provided. Excellent product...

You can't compare a pressure flush to a gravity flush
U got to compare gravity to gravity

Water is water. Do you know how a flushometer works? I understand the concept you might be thinking of - that a garden hose appears to have more force, but Niagra Falls is gravity fed. The grand canyon was cut by water. A pressure flush is still just water delivered by a different means. The "flush" is the syphon. Thanks for the comment.

I've had air assist Kohler and never had the kids clog it and overfill it. Water is water, but the way it's delivered makes a difference. A light rain storm gets you wet, a tropical storm delivering rain will get you wet also, but one of them the water will hurt hitting you in the face.

I think it is a style/design of bowls and tanks. They have Water Sense and standard tanks as well as different bowl designs. The shape and bottom foot make up different offereings as well as heights and round vs elongated.

The Toto Drake elongated ADA 1.28 gpf is only about $300 (plus seat) through a plumbing supply wholesaler, >=1000 MaP. I'm about to buy 2. Need to replace a couple American standard Tofino dual flush that just don't work well. I do think the American standard two valve design is very intriguing! I hope you'll post your experience of you decide to get those. Toto is proven, and I just don't want to do it again.

I suppose it depends on the source.
I used the same national chain to be objective. It was what it was.

Why does everyone want a tall toilet. I’m busted up from a wreck and still love a short toilet. Things come out better. It more healthy for you.

Yeah, we just put a Vormax in today and my wife is complaining about it being so high up. I'm going to measure the difference from our old one that's outside to be trashed... The good thing is that we had a flush assist up until today and the new one is so damn quiet now! Love it! I swear with the flush assist, that when we flushed it, it was coming up in one of the neighbors toilets! 😜

@@LeoRousseau Give her some time to get used to it. I agree, it certainly isn't the loudest flush. They have a good warranty. Sure the silicone flappers can fail, but what toilet flapper lasts forever?

I despise the short-@$$ toilet at a relative's house. It's literally difficult to get up from, as a tall person... Feels like sitting on something made for a child.
