That would be nice, but this is why I put out these videos to help others with there clocks. Yes there might be more to it than I show or I don't touch the problem you might be having, but I do leave my email below the video and from time to time I do check my email for help or questions.
Another great video Mike. I have an entire folder for the quarter hour cuckoo clocks. Your clock is older than most. This one is actually repairable where most, except for the Australian made quarter hour cuckoo clocks, of the quarter hour cuckoo clocks have glued in bellows. They were cheaply made for the tourist attraction. They werent really made to be taken apart to be worked on. I have found a tool to get the glued bellows out. You will have to check out my you tube videos to find it. This one I believe was made by the American Cuckoo Clock mfg co. Not really certain. Again great video.
I don't normally buy these clock, but it came along with another clock I bought. It is a nice looking clock and was happy to get to work on one. You do have a great set of videos on the 1/4 hour cuckoo clock.
About 10 or so years ago, my dad worked on clocks, but never got into them as deep as I am now. I didn't like the way he worked on them so I learned a little from him and grew from there. This clock I happen to get when I bought another clock and they just thru this one in.
I am sure you are right about that. But this way, even the person making less money could afford a cuckoo clock. I am sure these little ones sold just as quick, if not quicker.
Hey Mike, nother great video. Thats one small cucko. Have you ever seen a cucko with two pendulums that swing from the sides and not behind the chains? Picked one up from a shop the other day, Chalet style, no buzzards or leaves on the roof, no dancing girls either. It didn't come with pendulms or weights and looks like a one dayer. The words U.G.M. angem pat 8125 on the back frame, no other makers name/number. Looks like I picked a real freak of a cucko, to start in with cuckos . I mix up a soupe of stain, walnut, oak, mahagony, whatever i need, of paint colorant, boiled linseed oil, and lacquer thinner and use this just as I'd use Howard's or Formbys I can adjust the gloss by how much solvent based clear varnish/lacquer I mix into it. Thanx again , Rex P.S. any sign of Big Foot in your area of the PNW?
This is a link to my video with the two pendulums. th-cam.com/video/iLB5AT5Xs3Q/w-d-xo.html These clocks are hard to find and that is what drives the price up on them. Sounds cool that you came up with your own witches brew to refinish the clocks. I like the older clocks that only have the stain, but some of the really older clocks did have something on them, but very thin layer. Thanks so much for stopping in Rex McCleary.
Hey Jordan, things are good, just very busy working on clocks now that I am in the mood to. I am thinking the mood is starting to change now that the weather is getting nicer outside.

I’ve never seen a small clock like that. You’re the man when it comes to clocks. How many have you restored ? When did you start messing with them?

These clocks were a very inexpensive version of a cuckoo clock. A one weight wonder.

Hello, please what is the weight of the ballast in the chain?
A 200gram should work well for this clock.
How've you been Mr. Mike?

☺👍👍👍👌
You are so kind.
