Welcome to what some call Country but most of call good old fashioned story telling. Glad to see some of our youth expanding their musical horizons, thank you for doing this.
When I was a child I was made to sit and watch alongside my 12 brothers and 2 sisters while my dad beat my moma. I knew from the age of 5 my kids will never feel for me what I felt for my dear ole dad. I vowed to look at ALL women in the same light, on the same pedestal as my own moma
No real man would ever raise his hand to a woman! I met my sweetheart at 8yrs old, we were neighbors, school friends, then married after graduation. I'm still married to that beautiful woman 34yrs later & I would lay my life down for hers any day! You truly become as one when you find your true love & a real man would cherish her like a Princess as I do mine!
In the beginning of the video, she was the prisoner--- and being held captive to a horrible situation- and at the end of the video, he is the prisoner- and gave up his freedom for her- vigilante justice is never good- but too often the system fails these women
@Gracie Reacts 💯💯💯 I've been there more than I care to admit!! But I didn't have a Hardy to rescue me!! I could fill books with just what my dad had done!! He finally died I believe in January this year. Not sure. But when you have 3 adult children & not one of them come to your funeral or know where ur buried, that says a lot to the world about you!! And NO, the police don't do 💩 about it!! Oops. Sorry, didn't mean to open that can of worms! I just know way more people go thru this stuff than you think. Anyway, great reaction!! Do you do country or other stuff?
It’s quite sad, and they deserve the brutal rejection and denial they get for treating people they claim to love in such abusive way. I LOVE COUNTRY!!!
Adding to one of your favorite lines of the song sung by Lainey “I never thought my day of justice would come from a Judge under a seat” is a brilliant lyric by hardy. Unless you are Country and know about firearms a “Judge” is a Taurus Judge five shot revolver. So the reference to justice is a double entendre and being administered by a Judge under a car seat (both figuratively and literally). The song is a storybook masterpiece musically and lyrically and the video is like a cinematic movie. Hardy deserves a Grammy for it IMHO as not too my country artists earn Grammy’s.
We all go through relationships, good or bad but sometimes their maybe a relationship that may be personal physical relationship. A FRIEND. it's okay to understand that is a special relationship. Don't take that away. Trust.
Good men are getting harder and harder to find especially those of us who are willing to do what’s right regardless of the consequences! If any of you women out there find one make sure you hang on to him! Make your lives together a happy safe place for both of you do not make life hard on him! He’s dealing with things you’ll never know about but those things will never be an issue in your life together! He won’t let it!
She was removed from being beat and he was removed from beating,, cops and courts put a piece of paper between the girl and the beater,, paper don't stop the beating but usually ends up in stopping her heartbeat ,, the system seldom stops it until its to late
His mother or sister or somebody when he was growing up went through it that's why he had to do something borderline PTSD cannot save as loved one could save this ride in a person
He's friend did 20 years. Happened in Alabama. Muscle Shoals Alabama. It's called Southern Justice ya'll! That's what the good guys are here. They got hitched and had 4 girls. ❤ happy endin's.
Anyone that actually reads the bible knows that angles arent remotely peaceful when ordered to not be. Angels killed more than humans do in the bible. Sodom and Gamora are prime examples.
Ma'am us country boys will defend you and won't ask questions.... we dont hold phones, wait for law enforcement, or direction.... we treasure our brothers and sisters...
That's what real men do... That dude will never hurt her or any other woman that mite get with him .. he gave up his life so she could have a better life. ... Real men protect women and children that's what we are supposed to do.... It's are job just like providing and protecting your family that's what real men do....
Country music story telling at its finest..... Man this is a good song... Wonder if that boy is named sue??.... Now shes the queen of the double wide trailer
Being a dv survivor, it took 8 years for me to escape thanks to my angel detective in my town. My ex did 15 years for attempted murder on me and my children. He will be released next month. Ive gone back into survival mode. God rest the detective. He is a true angel in heaven. This song. When she turns around in the rain i see myself.
I don't know you or where you live but if he comes after you again give a shout out because there are many of us all over the US who will help you with your problem. So sorry for what you have already endured but justice can be served one way or another. GOD Bless you and your children.
In the Bible it says the first angels God created were "Avenging Angels"..............so maybe he ~was~ an angel, or doing one's work. I wish I, or my daughter had had one.
My daughter had an abusive mate. Lucky they hid it from me because otherwise I would have been Hardy . They have since broke up. 10 years later he has been arrested 6 times and put in prison 3 times for domestic abuse It's only a matter of time before he kills someone
I agree with the video, even in grade school I understood abuse was. I would get between my dad, mom, and brothers. I would rather take the beating than watch them be beaten and be seen by a small town hospital. That was the 70’s and 80’s and a protective order is just paper it doesn’t stop a large abusive man. My dads eyes and mine turn dark blue or appear black when angry. My brothers and I promised to stop that from staying in the family. My dad, his dad, and some women are abusive my great grandmother.
You know he didn't already know her. In the beginning he got lost in a town he'd never been to before!! The man was reaching for a 12 gauge shotgun when Hardy shot him!!
If he had taken her to the police, or if she filed a restraining order against her abuser, that might have worked...but it usually doesnt. My dad found my mom 1000 miles away and put his fist through a wall, he was so angry. Even if she got away, he would do it to the next woman, and the next. You might not want to, but sometimes you have to shoot a rabid dog to keep that disease from spreading. Thats what this hero did.
The law here in the US isn't set up to protect the victims. They may be locked up or get some time and come back madder than before and possibly kill the woman he was with or go abuse another woman. I am from Minnesota but I have watched other Utubers react to this song and in the South if anyone says to you: "Wait in the truck." It means that the guy is going to take care of business and he doesn't want the woman to see it. I also know thatthe kind of gun he used is called a judge. Tho I am not ok with somebody killing another person, being in an abusive relationship for 10yrs, I wish I had a Hardy to at least rough up my ex and see how he liked being the "weaker" person for a change. I wouldn't want him dead because I would never would want to take my daughter's father away from her like that.
Most time the cops can't do anything and if they do arrest him when he gets out he will most likely hurt her bad or kill her it happens all the time I think the longest they can hold him for is like 72 hrs that ain't near long enough
No, there is no help for women in this situation….until they are dead!!! Then the law intercedes. It’s truly unfortunate, but I’ve seen it time and time again.
The problem and the reason he felt he needed to take matters into his own hands is the justice system does nothing to these men snd they continue to beat woman so he assured her it wouod never under any circumstance happen again period
Nope your wrong.. if you've ever been in her Position you'd know the police does nothing except a restraining order that he will not follow and eventually beating her to DEATH.. don't even bother calling the police he'd lie and say she hit him first and she'd end up in jail.. the U.S. has a horrible justice system 😢
He did not know her, he is a MAN!!! Men stand up for those who can't stand up for themselves. If there are consequences then let it be. God will judge to cowards!!!
Guys that beat up their female partners if they get arrested for it they will eventually get out and when they do most of the time they will go after the woman in question and then she will either end up in intensive care at the hospital or end up in the morgue in my opinion any man that puts his hands on a woman in a violent manner is nothing more than a rabid dog
To people who do not live in the US, they do not understand that when a woman files a protective order to keep a wife beater away from them in many cases, it does not work. Here in the US, if you are in Texas, we protect our women the best we can. This man said enough is enough. You beat a woman even if all all legal papers are filed and it keeps happening. We all do something about this problem. You hit a woman in Texas, and you pay the price even if legal protection orders are filed and do not work. Good guy who did what was the right thing to do. The song says he raised the hammer (on his gun) before the wife beater could get to his "12" (12 Guage shot gun). Pay back is an MF.
That's hillbilly justice. You are not a man if you put your hands on a woman. He got what he deserved. I know some will say why didn't she leave? But it's not that simple these monsters want let her leave and the judicial system doesn't do enough to protect these women so I would have done the same thing. So called men like this are cowards and deserve death period.
Unfortunately, too many times the system fails the women in these situations. The abuser keeps coming back, no matter what the police and judges say or do. To quote another country song "but Earl walked right through that restraining order and put her in intensive care" (Goodbye Earl by the band then known as the Dixie Chicks).
Let me tell you something. When a man is an abuser he will always abuse. If he didn't have her to abuse any more, he would just do it again to some other woman. This is from someone who has been there.
I can tell you have never been in this type of relationship. Call the cops and when the abuser gets out he is PISSED and will go after the woman. Women die every day because they trusted the system to protect them. ABUSERS DO NOT STOP UNTIL THEY ARE DEAD!!!!
Sometimes you see too much that is never addressed. Sadly you are left to the thoughts of "if not me, then who?". Now he was guilty of what he was convicted of but many of us might have excused him but lawfully we cannot. Difficult song and it did its intent to make us sad and question and also feel like justice in some way happened.
@@GracieReacts there's good men out there. Once you find him you never let go. They might only be a few of us. We are out there never give up hope. Hope is the best of thanks. Maybe the great all things

Vigilante justice is sometimes the only way to get shit done, but you better make damn sure of their guilt.
