Have severe Osteoarthritis throughout my whole body, have already had both knee's replaced! Im afraid the longer the specialists make me wait it will cause my good hip to also start getting effected, like this hip! Please help with what i can do❤

I have pain in the groin especially going up the stairs or in the car. My Dr is sending me to an Ortho but petrified that ortho is going to recommend a hip operation. How do I know if it’s a groin strain or hip osteoarthritis as I’m 82 years old. I’m a very active person, going to gym 5 x a week but now I can’t run or spin because my groin is in pain. WHAT CAN I DO? Please Help before I go to Ortho. Should I do an MRI? Doing your 😂xercises also.
Hey Vivien, we are so sorry to hear about your groin pain :-( We understand how worried you are about potentially needing a hip replacement, but you've been active and healthy so you are probably in a good place to recover from this via treating the root problem. These are often best handled by targeting problem areas with the right exercises.
