Thanks for posting this! As a student who is likely going into the industry in the next few years, I sometimes worry about how difficult it will be to find steady work in the future.
I really love your videos! I’m a fellow Northern Va!
John Caniford Thanks John, it's always great to get to know more locals!
Wonderful sound... get it... sound... advice!
Leland Philpot 😂😂😂 Thanks Leland!
Mostly weekend stuff yeah but i try to get studio and install work when the live scene is quiet
Was that a beaver?
Kolit Asdo Yes it was!
Freelancer myself and have been for a while now. This area is really not as productive as major cities but my intention is to branch out of my general area and to the major city
Great vid.
I am just looking for a wireless router which transmits audio signal WiFi signals just wireless DMX available in the market
Is there any options to do that...
audio encoders and audio decoders. The audio you're listening too right now in this video as an example.
Great information! Not sure I dig the handheld video, but that might just be me :)
Woodlawn Sound Yeah, it's a pain trying to hold the camera too! On these less visually involved topics I worry that just sitting in front of the camera indoors may get boring - but the handheld stuff wasn't my favorite either! Thanks for watching al the same!
Hey man. I wsnt here for a damn Quinton Tarrentino (visual) production! Hahaha. Whats you're doing is finnnne. THE INFO .... it. is. amazing. The handheld keeps it interesting. Keeeeeeep rockin!!!! @@DcSoundOp
So here is a question…what should a guy be charging for live events…including providing all the front of house gear as well as monitors, mic’s , etcetera
That’s a huge question that depends on everything from your location, to your business plan as a company. You’re the only one who knows your overhead & you need to know what other folks are charging in your area to understand where you fit in the local market.
dude, u are giving away to much game! Let all these noobs go slave away at dayjobs... We gotta keep this sweet freelance life on the DL ;)
Lol everywhere in the us is relevant to finding steady work in live sound unless you live in Mississippi like me
