VNL should seriously do away with the Core and Challenger team, and relegate who is the weakest team. If you want to play at this level you need to deserve it and currently Korea doesn't deserve to be playing at this level.

There’s a lot of teams or nations who are aspiring and deserving to be part of the VNL. Thus, if South Korea will still keep on losing matches (like last year’s edition where they haven’t won a single match) and still appear on next year’s edition. Shame on FIVB!
It escape me how i still see South Korea women's team in vnl 2023 with this level of performance, not to mention their last year result.
The show can't run without money, Volleyball isn't that famose without Korea who ready to pay ?

Think about this, a team like Poland (1st, Challenger team) has more of a chance getting relegated next year than korea (16th, core team). VNL should consider relegating core teams who currently do not deserve to play at this level.

As a neutral fan, I couldn’t help but hope that South Korea would win this match because Bulgaria was the second lowest team in VNL. This is also the only match they had a chance to win. Every time Korea got a lead, they lost it. They started to really pressure Bulgaria in the third set, but they couldn’t maintain that in the fourth set. I could see how much Korea wanted to win, but it was just not meant to be. The fact that KYK is still one of the top scorers in the whole Korean league says a lot. The development and improvement of a newer Korean team will take many years before they can compete with top countries again. In this match, Bulgaria looked dominant and in control most of the time. I think a different country deserves Korea’s spot until they come back with a stronger team. Fighting and Congratulations 🇧🇬 ❤

Korea need to think that, up until this point its not because of the coach only, its actually the serious problem of players development. They need to exit on their comfort zone.
Tbh, as regular viewer of Korea vleague, up until now, they still too dependent on their senior players. And the league also too focus on foreign player attacking and scores.
KVA need to do something with this. For now, they need to forget Paris Olympic but start to aim for LA olympic.
Too much reliance on the great KYK bite them extremely hard when she retired. So many teams have great individual players but they just don't neglect improvement for the eventual young replacing cores. SK didn't bother with that 2nd part.

Even in this video there almost no any comments about the winners from Bulgaria. Every comment is about Korea. Bulgaria is probably the least commented team in VNL and i don't know why.

As always, it's sad seeing Korea is not that strong attackers but good in floor defense even they can manage to tie or lead but at the end they lost the game. I miss the Superstar or Korea and the Twins.😢

잔체적으로 이번 년도에는 유럽배구가 실력이 많이 평준화 되고 파워와 높이 는 물론 수비도 견고함이 보이네요. 예전에 독일 불가리아 크로아티아 캐나다 우리상대가 되지않은 팀들이 부담히 노력을 해왔다는 증거죠.
우리가 너무 우물안 개구리식으로 배구운영이나 훈련들을 해오지 않았나 싶구요, 외국선수 도입이 오히려 한국선수들의 성장에 방해요소로 작용하지 않았나 싶구요,, 전 장윤희 나 김연경 선수같은 좀 배구에 센스와 정열을 갖은 선수가 많이 나왔으면 한 바램입니다

Why do you guys keep talking about how bad the core team system is? Nothing is fair, but it has been the rule from the beginning, and everyone knows it. Do you think this sport is popular enough to attract sponsors from all around the world? It isn't. Without the core teams, none of this would have happened. South Korea is the co-founder of this tournament, long before many of you even started watching volleyball. Just because they had a bad two years, do you think you can kick South Korea off after all they have done for this tournament? And then what? Let me tell you this: there are many teams with potential, but when they have to spend their money they can't find sponsors! they gonna refuse to join the tournament. In that case, the VNL should have been long gone, there will be no game for you to watch! . I can give you an example of a team from a wealthy country in the southern hemisphere. Their men's team is doing well with enough sponsors, but when it comes to women's indoor volleyball, it's a completely different story. Indoor volleyball isn't as famous among women; they are more into beach volleyball. Their budget is very tight, and it's extremely difficult for them to even find sponsors to cover the cost of air tickets to play abroad. So, forget about sponsoring the whole tournament-it's not going to happen.
Yes. VNL NEEDS TO MAINTAIN THIS RULE FOR MONEY until people laugh seeing VNL has been lost their class!!!
