Do you know if the performance emulation in Aethersx2 and Dolphin gets any better with gamma? I don't care about the other advantages, only for the framerate.
Thanks for the review, i have the same unit and upgraded to GammaOS, talking about emulation, RG505 works well on GC, DC, N64, PSP anything within that range of emulators works well, but stay away from PS2, having that option is a bonus but its not really intended for PS2, other than that everything is great!
It's kind of a must if you want to run PS2/GameCube/wii games due to the performance mode, or if you want ultra long battery life with 2d games, along with a better picture and can switch between Xbox/Nintendo key mapping on the fly. Gamma OS fixes a shoulder button issue as well and uses daijisho as well.
The Android OS takes about 2GB itself. Don't worry though when your main RAM of 4GB runs out the OS will use swap space and use the extra memory available on the 128GB SSD which is almost as fast as the 4GB memory.

The original OS is junk, use GammaOS, it has vastly improved my RG505. 3 power modes, better battery life, better emulations, etc.

I ran SNK/Cave/CPS2 games for roughly 16 hours between three days in battery saving mode.

Anybody had an issue where the screen fell off? I was watching this reviewer where his 405m's screen fell off
I've had it for about 6 months, daily use. The screen is still good.

Yes. Didnt go well. Very slow. Though people say upgrading firmware helps.

Duckstation or psxrearmed will run trilogy great but..........why not run the arcade version with mame on the rg505 instead?
