For anyone wondering: Multiplying something by a number (let the number be y) is equal to dividing something by y/1. For example, (a+b)(a-b)= (a+b) divided by (a-b)/1. The coolest division by zero usage I’ve seen was by my flatmate, who was doing his PHD in mathematics at the time. I gave him a math problem, he did some calculations and after some work he got a contradiction, he then said, I must have divided by 0, found the only possible division by 0 in his calculation, and proceeded to solve the problem with the knowledge that this variable was 0.

This is just a backwards way of doing things. If you do your check and it pops out as the 2 = 1 you have to put the line through the equal signs. It shows that the proof you want doesn't work. It shows you did something wrong. This is a backwards way of showing and teaching kids that they need to add more qualifiers or constraints. In other words, taking common sense out of it and making someone say, you didn't add that or this so what I did is true. No, you are just trying to fast talk what is previous unwritten rules (or written so long ago that they are just known).

This is just a backwards way of doing things. If you do your check and it pops out as the 2 = 1 you have to put the line through the equal signs. It shows that the proof you want doesn't work. It shows you did something wrong.
This is a backwards way of showing and teaching kids that they need to add more qualifiers or constraints.
In other words, taking common sense out of it and making someone say, you didn't add that or this so what I did is true.

If someone doesnt know, at 1:15 you can't cancel out a-b because if their values are the same the difference will get you a 0 and you can't cancel out 0. Hope this helps 😊

На моменте сокращения (a-b) с правой и с левой стороны, мы должны были прописать обязательное ОДЗ: a - b != 0 => a != b.
Дело в том, что на моменте 1:22 мы заменяем a на b, но мы так делать не можем т.к. если a = b, то мы ранее делили на ноль, что категорически запрещается в математике.
I think you said a-b=0 because a=b and therefore canceling a-b is equivalent to dividing by 0 which is illegal (even in Russia 🇷🇺 🤣). Я прав?
