Just finished reading lightbringer and I am broken all over again. I started in August with red rising and fell in love with the writing and characters and now I am in awe of the series this man created
I have binged all six books and I literally am not ok. From having Daxo die horribly, to Seraphina, and now Cassius which was the HARDEST pill to swallow I’m left with one question. Is there any peace or happy endings for the cast left alive. Also I really want Lysander to meet his demise because I can’t stand him. Reading his chapter as he so boldly stands watching the crops of the Rim be burned just irritated me!
Really enjoyed this. Forgive me for the negative comment, but the blue light really looks awful as a primary backlight source. Does terrible things to skin tones, per the video. If you’d like to use colored lights in the future, they would work best as a hair light/3rd accent light source. Even better, blue LEDs as backlight along each shelf would create some really nice depth to the image as a whole and accentuate the books themselves.
@@ajwebb220587 Typos but also major plot errors. For example in Dark Age or Light Bringer (I forget which), Pierce accidentally wrote that “Atalantia liked our genes” referring to Atlas’ and Aja’s pairing to produce Ajax. Atalantia was a frivolous girl who wouldn’t have been able to order the likes of 2 Olympic Knights around, it was intended to say “Octavia liked our genes”. Writers are so deep in their books they need an editor to catch stuff like that. Her fault for missing it and it breaks the illusion of reality that all fiction is meant to create when errors like that make it to print.
@@AUSince2013 interesting. I think I picked up on a few similar errors. My friend said he thinks that in LB they literally use the wrong planet name at one point and it’s super confusing and just completely incorrect.
I feel like there were fewer- if any typos/errors in the original trilogy, but I noticed more in Dark Age and especially Light Bringer. It did bug me a little bit, and it is the editor’s job to catch them. I still greatly enjoyed the book though.
Haven’t read light bringer yet, but hoping for the best. Book 4 Iron Gold was such a steaming pile, and I’m not all that impressed with book 5 Dark Age. Did Pierce hire another writer? Are they hooked on the sales so much they’re churning out books as fast as possible?
I just binged all the books recently.. Im so blown away at this mans creativity.
Same, I just read all 6 books in 3 months. Now I don't know what to do with myself.
Literally just finished Lightbringer and I’m absolutely broken
Wait what??? Broken… oh man… who? DONT TELL ME!!!! I’m 70% into it
@@LeonC0704 you’re in the home stretch now mate you’re close but I feel so empty now it’s finished can’t wait for Red God!
Dark Age and Lightbringer both put me into book hangovers. Nothing else is satisfying right now.
@@loonar7960 if you like intrigue and battles, I’d recommend The Pariah by Anthony Ryan
@@loonar7960same! Just devastated and I can’t get it out of my head
Glad to see we're all broken by Lightbringer and blown away by Pierce Brown's talent!

So this is Pierce’s editor who continuously misses errors? Cool. I hope she’s a better interviewer than editor.
curious - like typos? or bigger errors?

@@ajwebb220587 Yes I caught it too, I think they say Mercury instead of Jupiter or something like that
