Thanks for the review, its very valuable information. Im on the fence if i should get a USA Yngwie or a cheaper alternative such as this Grassroots guitar. In your opinion, how does this compare in terms of playing comfort to your YJMs?
Thanks for watching. It's a bit tricky to describe because i like my guitar necks a little chunky and the recent years USA malmsteen strats (2007 up to present) have thin c shape necks, and the japanese yjm necks have slightly almost vintage profile chunky necks like a U or D shape but slightly thinner so it feels a lot chunkier than a usa yjm, and this guitars neck is more of in the middle of a vintage neck and a japanese yjm neck so it's still very comfortable to play for me while a usa malmsteen strat is too comfortable to play. Here's what I've done to the guitar after making this video, fret leveling, crowning, polishing, cutting the nut string slots correctly, installed dimarzio hs-3's in the bridge and neck and an area 67 in the middle, and I set up the guitar with the correct string height and neck relief with 8-42 string guage. Now If you know how to do all those things on your own, I recommend you get this guitar and mod it to yjm specs, if not, and you have the dough, buy the usa yjm strat, will save you a lot of time not doing all those things I mentioned and will save you money not paying a guitar tech to do it for you, like I said, USA yjm strats are too comfortable to play compared to this plus you'll have the real deal instead of a copy.
@@rockcastlemusic Thank you very the very valuable reply. I'm definately unable to do guitar work like you and most likely will buy a 2nd hand USA yngwie strat based on your advise. One more thing, have you experienced the high e string slipping off the fretboard with the USA yngwie before? That seems to be a common problem with these strats
@@concerto571 I never had a problem with it, it's not the guitar, it's actually how you press the strings that make it slip off the fretboard, but It can be easily learned. You'll be used to it in an hour or 2 if you're not a beginner.
your playing is really great... Yngwie could be proud. Where do u life ? Do u take jobs from people ? if i send u a neck, u could make it scalloped by yourself, and send it back to me ? i pay by paypal

Did this guitar come with jumbo frets?
No. They look like jumbo fretwires but are low.
