to get a neater edge you need to do a less wide mug wrap - because the heating elements are not reaching that far and that is causing ghosting/fading on your edges on the vertical there.
Hi! I really don’t know what I am doing wrong. I have a sawgrass printer and the colours aren’t going on very nice. Would love some direction please. X
I so much love all the designs available on Design Bundles. It's absolutely one of the best values on the internet. The end of month Wednesday $1.00 deals are killer and the weekly freebies are unheard of with so many others out there. I'm so happy with everything I've purchased here and can't wait to learn more and be more creative with the help of creators like Becky and Michael (Mr. Crafty Pants) and many others. You and your team/extended team totally rock. Thank you for such amazing and creative designs.
I'm in the UK and pulling my hair out. I use Cricut design space and I bought some sublimation mug paper 3.5" by 9". I set my printer as user defined for the paper measurements 3.5" by 9" and page orientation to portrait. What's confusing me is the paper settings in Cricut when I send it to make it. Do I set this as A4 document, or legal document. I tried setting it to A4 then loading my mug paper in my Epson printer but some letters are missing. 😢
Cool! Can you show how to layer the Cricut Infusible Ink sheets for a design... I'm working on a nutcracker head and have the basic idea down, just need to fine tune and make sure i layer it correctly. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!
We have a video on Infusible Ink with the Mug Press: th-cam.com/video/fDXFfgZCoro/w-d-xo.html And the rest of our Infusible Ink videos: th-cam.com/users/DesignBundlessearch?query=infusible :)
Great tutorial!!! I love how much the print covered the top and bottom of the mug!! Such a wonderful way to get a perfectly covered mug. Thank you very much for all the instructions!! 💗❣💗❣💗❣💗❣💗❣💗
Hey Becky, I seem to be having a lot of fails with sublimation... lots of ghosting and even broke a mug thinking that I didn't have enough pressure... any other tips you have would be great xoxox
Hey Tegan, sorry to hear your trouble! Have you tried the adhesive spray? It helps me tremendously with ghosting, you can get the Krylon Repositionable Adhesive Spray at most stores that carry spray paint. I do have another video coming on more sublimation tips and tricks. Hope this helps! ---Becky
Thank you for the great tutorial. I have a question.. with the sublimation picture hanging over the bottom edge of the mug won’t that get the ink onto the bottom heating element on its edges? Why don’t you wrap the edge under the mug?
Hey Brandy, I don't wrap over or under the edges because it can cause creases in the paper so that the edges have blurry or white spaces. The bottom of the mug press has a small pedestal, so it holds the bottom of the mug up from the bottom of the machine. So the extra paper doesn't interfere with the pressing, and the blow-out paper keeps any of the ink from imprinting on the mug press itself. Hope this helps! ---Becky
Becky, I have a "dumb" question...if I order sublimation designs from Design Bundles, do I need a sublimation printer (hope not)? Don't ask what gave me such a hair-brained idea. Rack it up to aging😇 For now, think I'll invest in a toaster oven & a decent oven thermometer. Love this Design! You always do a super job explaining.
You do need special ink not normal printer ink. I’d love to do sublimation but don’t have the space or justification for another printer! You can use the Cricut infusible ink transfer sheets though and cut out a design
Hey Joy! Tracey is correct, you would still need a printer. You can find stores that sell sublimation designs though, and some even offer custom printing. Do you have a local vinyl store? I sell prints to my customers on-demand, maybe someone local to you would do that also? Just an idea if you're not ready to invest in a printer. Hope this helps! ---Becky
Yes, it's mainly the sublimation ink that makes the magic happen, but you do use special printers and papers and special items that are coated to bond with the ink. Hope this helps! ---Becky
Very nice. I am going to break down and get an Epson eco tank one of these days because there are so many fun things to make with sublimation ... but they are pricy right now and I have already sunk a lot of money into crafting lately. But that did come out nice. I loved the trick of duplicating and mirroring the background to get a seamless pattern. I could do that in Cricket DS with flip, but maybe a bit more manual fussing to get it lined up right. And I loved the idea of the white offset around the letters. So a couple really good tips in this video. AND I love the quote you use so I went and snagged it from Design Bundles. Also, amazing what better design software Sihloutte Studio has over Cricket
Thanks Olivia, I'm so glad you enjoyed the video! Printer prices are definitely inflated right now, but I believe Epson is pushing out a new Workforce model that will increase supply and hopefully help bring prices down. Thanks for watching! ---Becky
This turned out so Beautiful, Really love the background you used. Is this from designbundle? Would you be willing to share the name of the design (bundle)? Thanks in advance
Yes, of course! They're always linked in the description as well :) designbundles.net/plusstore/235327-valentine-s-day-iridescent-and-foil-textures and designbundles.net/plusstore/1228429-a-cup-a-day-keeps-the-sarcasm-at-bay-hand-lettered
Love it. Why oh why do I keep watching sub videos when I can’t do any of it 😳😅 I can’t justify a mug press at the likely uk price it will be when it comes see out as I just don’t think we need anymore mugs 😂😂 I still want to make them though! I love infusible ink so it would be lovely to have a go. Thanks for another great video. 👍
Hey Tracey! It's all the great marketing LOL, that's what I blame it on. I'll be honest, if I was looking to start infusible ink or sublimation mugs, I would suggest a convection oven and sublimation shrink wraps. The oven will be a little more temperamental but you can do so many projects in addition to mugs. Hope this helps! ---Becky
She has a terrific video about this topic. Look for Design bundle video called "Introduction to Sublimation for Beginners" You do need a printer. As she says in the video it is a "special" crafting hobby because it requires a lot of special materials.

It looks like there was excess at top and bottom of the mug when it went into the mug press? How much should there be?
Hi! I really don’t know what I am doing wrong. I have a sawgrass printer and the colours aren’t going on very nice. Would love some direction please. X
Thanks for the video. What do you have sitting on the bottom of your mug press again?

You need to set it to mug settings a new video will be talking about this not this Tuesday but next
Soooooo cool! Off to watch the Intro to Sublimation video. 🙌🏻
Yay, hope you like it! :)
Can you make a video step by step showing how to get the design all the way around the mug and under the handle?
Hi Ci! I don't think you can get under the handle and provide the right amount of pressure for the design.- Dawn
when you say you have a pedestal in your mug press? is that something you added or is that part of the press?
Hi there! Are you referring to the bottom piece of the mug press? It's included: amzn.to/3uKnTOq - Dawn
so can you clarify? the key to this is that the design paper needs to go below and above the rim and the bottom of the mug by about 1/4 inch?
Yes, so basically you are creating your own template based on your mug. You can measure or use the pencil method like we did here - Dawn 😊
Is it dishwasher safe? How would you wash it?
Yes, the sublimation mugs are dishwasher safe! I would put them on the top rack! - Brittany

I'm happy to hear you're enjoying the Mug Press! Thanks for watching :)
Excellent tutorial!!!
Glad you liked it! 😊
Hello what is the software for the design you are using thank you.
Do you have a video on mugs that are curved?
If I want to add a plain color for background, the paper did not print the color but only the font.what happened

hola, la taza que utilizas es de 15 oz? saludos
Hola Karen. Si la taza esta 15 oz - Agata
@@DesignBundles muchas gracias! tenia la duda como quedaban estas tazas, estoy muy agradecida
Are you using cricut mugs? How wide to you make it so its not blurred on the edges?
Hi Valerie! Yes we are using Cricut mugs here: amzn.to/3u2HFnX Are you using heat tape to keep the paper down along the edging?
@@DesignBundles I haven't had a problem. Im wondering what size you used.
Love it. Becky, can I use sawgrass 400 ink in my sawgrass 500 printer?
Hey Milagros, I don't think you can but I would check the vendor you purchased from to be sure. Hope this helps! ---Becky
Beautiful!
Thank you! :)
Can I buy your template? Cricut makes me mad with the design space template. I have a silhouette as well.
Hey there, I'm sorry, I don't have it up for sale anywhere. If I can, I'll find the file and come back and post the exact dimensions. ---Becky
@@DesignBundles following for that info as well.
For Cricut ds wouldn’t it be easier to use the template they provide?
Yes, you absolutely can do that in Design Space :) th-cam.com/video/0dS95Efnwo0/w-d-xo.html
Fully wrapped would go under the handle which obviously can't be done with a mug press.

Anyone have a printable mug template for both 12 oz and 15 oz - that we can print and cut ????
Hi Deanna! We do! You can find that listing here: designbundles.net/cattymaker/1934815-cricut-mug-press-template-12oz-and-15oz-mug-sizes - Dawn 🙂

what paper did you print on ??
TruePix. 😊 You can find it here - amzn.to/3GBXEjN

would be a lot quicker to just go into DS and cut out the template that's already in there..
Yes, that's definitely an option in Design Space :) th-cam.com/video/0dS95Efnwo0/w-d-xo.html
Yeah. This was just dumb.
Do you have to buy a printer for sublimation? I don't have one just curious for future reference
She has a terrific video about this topic. Look for Design bundle video called "Introduction to Sublimation for Beginners"
You do need a printer. As she says in the video it is a "special" crafting hobby because it requires a lot of special materials.
Why not use the template from design space?
Some people don't use DS, so she's just showing you how you can create your own. 😀
When you are doing sublimation. The template is small.
You can use the Design Space template if you'd like, but this was made in Silhouette Studio so this is just another option :)
Can you please use Cricut it's what I have and I want to use it. Please?????
Hi Julie. Noted! - Agata
Blurred edges and just unprofessional
The tighter the seal around the mug the better the seams come out. We recommend a tight seal with sublimation heat tape- Dawn
Well this was a complete waste of time.
We're sorry to hear about this, Aneda. Thank you for your feedback, we appreciate it a lot ⭐️
