I'm just at a loss because I don't know how you even got the download to open. I don't have any applications to run the download file as is and apparently nobody I can find has made a post on what I need to install to be able to even run the app files I download.
Is there shortcut to immediately connect to the Xbox? I know -connect=(Your Xbox ID) used to work but now it does not. Just curious if anyone found a way to accomplish this. Thanks

this worked for me originally. but the streaming part has completley stopped working. I just get an infinite loading screen. It worked one day. Then the next it stopped. And nothing changed between then. Xcloud still works. I've restarted steamdeck. restarted console. I have the full screen nosandbox thing in the shortcuts. I've updated to new version of greenlight. Logged out and logged back in. Cleared data. nothing

Found a fix that worked for me. Downloaded latest version. In desktop mode, access the properties menu for greenlight, and make sure --no-sandbox is listed in launch protocol
Thanks so much bro, idk why but it’s letting play MW3 and other Xbox 360 games and I’m online which is amazing asf, infected and zombies on here feels great, tried playing with my phone and it told me Xbox 360 games were not supported but it works on the deck, just amazing!!
My experience with this was horrible, remote playing to my pc in same network using steam remote play or sunshine / moonlight works spot on however using greenlight the delay makes it unusable, the screen is a blurry mess and input latency is horrible. I wish I knew what is causing this so if anyone have an idea please let me know.
sounds like you might have network routing issues? are you using the 5 Ghz WIFi bands? Might be worth changing your WiFi channels if it's congested too, is your PC wired or Wireless?
Latency is good for me but the resolution seems pretty low and it doesn't look like there's anyway to tweak that. It's just very aliased over all. Latency is better than moonlight or the PS5 remote but the image just does not look good.

The article you link outwards to does not make mention of your app image being totally different than what most people may be downloading. The file name and subsequent versions are different.
I did say I was using a beta version so pick the version you are most comfortable with. But if I don’t say app image specifically I’ll correct that thanks.

Hey i got this working in desktop mode… but as soon as I launch a game, my X and B button dont work. I think every time i press X its trying to open my keyboard, and my B wont work in game.. other buttons work. Wtf is going on.

when i get it working in desktop mode, it connects and everything no problem. I am trying to play diablo4 and when i go to use the joystick it thinks i am using the dpad. is there somewhere to configure inputs for the controller? i held down the start button on the steamdeck until it changed and it doesn't make a difference.
Is there a way too delete said files without messing up this process completely. I ask cause I paste app image conmand in the konsole it did not work. I tried kwrite rote in there the location downloads after./ cause my down go straight too down load folder still did not work. Also took an hour too figure out if I do split screen in file manager I can then move download files too home directory. But In trying too figure that out I made a copy of app image it’s red file image I would really now just want too delete all these step and start over but I don’t want too be permanently fucked or have too factory reset again pls get back too this question

Worked fine in Desktop mode but, despite making the Appimage executable, it did not launch for me in Gaming mode. I got a spinning Steam icon and could not even kill the game except by hard resetting my SteamDeck. 🤔

Every time I try to download app image launcher on my deck. My deck acts like it doesn’t know what app to use to download so it asks me to choose an app. This is where I’m stuck 😢
Only issue greenlight remote play wont work for me if i am not on the same network. Cloud works fine. Remote play works sometimes when im on same network aka home. Away from home remote play never works. But i could load up xbox app on my phone and remote play with ease.
I'M done trying to get my remote play working on my deck. Always a black screen, I have the sound but no image. It's weird, because the Xcloud works. Oh well... I'll just be happy with the steam games that I have

I followed along and got it working for desktop mode but for game mode I'm having trouble. I can't get the "application" folder installed through the command, I was wondering if it's bc I already have a app folder created?
You don’t need to add it again. Once you’ve put the appimage in the folder. You should have the option to add it to your library in steam. Then you can launch it in game mode
at 3:08 you said "copy this command to add it to the konsole" where is that command to copy and paste? I cant do it from the video and the link only has the image launcher download. Is there another link I am missing?

it's the 3 lines button (top right) not 3 dots (bottom right) to switch layouts

it should run by default, you don't need an extra app, just open it from the folder and not chrome

I formatted the internal drive, did a fresh install with the same issue

Okay so it worked fine until I changed my password for xbox. Now when I click execute its stuck on the Xbox and green circle loading
Highly recommend not letting it auto sign in. That's what screwed me

They just released greenlight update v2.3.0 due to streaming issues. Even with the update it is not working. Any idea how i can fix this?

why use heroic? just use the browser? For just Xcloud, browser is best

With this green light app can you play your Xbox from anywhere with WiFi or does your steam deck have to be on the same network as your Xbox?
Sadly no p2p, it goes via MS server. However I dont think it allows streaming via WAN.

Check the spacing and make sure you don’t have an extra commands/characters

This no longer works it zooms in the screen and there is no way to fix this so this is unplayable

If you mean that it zoomed out and the image was only on the top left then just reboot steam deck and xbox.
