Thank you for the comment! I've been working on this for about 10 months. More subscribers would be nice, no doubt. However, I'm happy with the interest that my fellow modelers have in my videos.
To achieve satisfying finishes, using a spray gun is highly recommended. They are quite affordable, with prices starting around $20, depending on the type of paint you use. A spray gun priced at $40 can deliver excellent results. Glad you like the video. Rick
Great video! I would have never thought to use epoxy style paint over sig koverall. I will have to try that also. Looking forward to the cockpit details!
Rick I was wondering if you could do a video on how to take plans . And cut the parts out step by step because I am lost, do not have a laser cutter. Because I think you need a degree in engineering. Video I have been looking at do not show the steps. I know it's a lot to ask and I understand if you do not make the video. Rick you are a master builder, amazing work. Did you know Rocky and Jeff Black? Take care and God bless, thank you
Hi Brian, If I understand the question your’e looking to make templates. The templates are used to trace the part onto the wood. Not sure if you saw episode 6 of the Sweet & Low build. I talk about making templates. Here is the link: th-cam.com/video/0ksKHhhrDxo/w-d-xo.html This may answer your question. If not let me know. Rick
@@rcflyingwithrick thanks Rick I did watch the video on template. You hand cut the parts. I understand that, but could you cut the parts with a laser. How do you do that. How to draw the part on computer, then have the laser cut the part.
@@briancolledge2699 Hi Brian, I will sometime in the future produce videos on the laser cutting process for modelers due to many requests. However a brief description on my process is: Have your plans scanned and stored as a pdf file. Then it is loaded into the cad program, I use “Fusion 360”. Various steps occur, such as scaling, and tracing all the necessary parts. The file is then transferred to my Laser cutting software that I use. which is “Lightburn.”.The exercise can be time consuming depending on the complexity of the model. Also with respect to the Sweet & Low build I have had many inquires for a short kit (Laser cut parts). I will be looking into the possibility of producing a limited amount of Sweet & Low kits.
Thank you so much!!!! Nice to someone teaching the essentials of the hobby 🫶🏻🙏
I'm glad you found it helpful, I enjoy sharing this hobby with others.
As a fellow old school builder i learn a lot from you🤠👍🛩️🇿🇦
This hobby has a vibrant community of modelers who share knowledge. I also continually learn from my fellow modelers. Thank you for the comment. Rick
You deserve more subscribers for your work😊

Klass Kote epoxy is flexible so it works great on Koverall. Not to mention the durability is unmatched. Thank you for the comment. Rick
Rich - tired your t.p. treat and it worked great. I used a product called DAP light weight spackle over the fiberglass, is seem to work will
Hi Dave, DAP is a popular filler among modellers. It's great that you're finding success with your build. Thank you for your comment. Rick
@rcflyingwithrick
Thanks Rich. First time using it on fiberglass. I used it on balsa and it works great
