- this was originally "completed" on july 19th, 2022, and has laid dormant in my files since then.
so this was a huge learning experience for me, mainly because now i'm positive i should never ever use clip studio paint EX as my one-program-for-every-purpose catchall. this project file is 1.26 gigabytes and takes roughly two minutes to open and three minutes to autosave, which is why this isn't nearly as "finished" as i'd like it to be....but i needed to post it eventually, so please enjoy!!

1:43 I love how L and Light stay working "professionaly" until this moment and just start dancing. Matsuda and Misa watch them and go away like they're so done with the situation, not even surprised. It suggest me that this isn't the first time happening
Also 2:02 Light was *REALLY* into it.
Now I'm going to watch this musical instead of doing house chores, goodnight, this is incredible *fryology*

The facial expressions are fantastic, and the close up on L's bare feet and Light's shoes while they're dancing is really good juxtaposition.

I love how light is drawn in this animatic, he looks like a gay as hell schoolboy mixed with seto kaiba and I absolutely love it. And L is just a weird little gremlin, this is such a them thing to do!! This is like one of my absolute favorite animatics lol
0:41 the way Ryuk and Rem just look at eachother and blink awkwardly is just amazing, peak comedy.
I see a lot of people saying that the way Misa and Matsuda walk away at 1:54 is like them being done with the situation. For me, I see it like they're like "get a room" in their head, and that's funnier to me.
I’ve never watched deathnote but Psych is by far my favorite show and I nearly squealed when I saw that someone made an animatic with this song. I am not at all disappointed- The movements in this piece are absolutely splendid and I adore your art style. You’ve totally earned a new subscriber and I look forward to watching your other work :]

the little recoils (idk what theyre called) in movements, like when L pokes light, r SO good and realistic RAGHHHH!! and the sharp way you stylised them & the blocking of every scene (and ofc. the death note reveal)...... truly a masterpiece

I love love LOVE this!!! Your style of drawing all of them is so fun and all the little details add so much entertainment. I especially love Light's disgusted look when L tastes the blood and how silly L looks when hes behind the bench (the Light mannequin being flipped on the bench was also funny)

Theres something in your style that reminds me a lot of Hanna Barbera, or old cartoon network shows over all. But with your own added style, of course, its fantastic. All designs are amazing, but my personal favorite is L, 'cause is big eyes makes the animatic even more funnier than it probably should be dkgj I mean, this ( 0:39 ) face? funny. This one 1:24 ? hilarous. Can't love these faces enough kjffg thanks for sharing, this is super underrated but very talented ❤❤
