      Important to consult mentors who have seen a width of strategies instead of relying on toppers who talk about 1-2 things that worked for them.

    Gaurav agarwal and pratyush pandey have shared amazing insights on preparation, and i was hoping some topper would actually mention those two like how pratyush sir expected and mentioned in his blog that maybe someone can pick up from where they left.
    Sir if you are seeing these comments- it would be really beneficial if you also wrote a blog/post about this in more structured way including all small things that helped or maybe an elaborate book like anudeep durishetty wrote.
    Thank you for this session.

      Happens even to the best of us. In terms of writing an answer for UPSC, I don’t know what to do. But if I had to write an answer about something I read, I know that I can do better than the average joe because I’ve read and understood the concept better than him.

      Actually when we prepare for an exam as competitive as UPSC, there are thousands of people who study really hard, so getting at least better than average of those best candidates makes it challenging, because afterall we're all studying hard and almost the same thing.

      To bring brevity, you need to have clarity of thoughts, revise your material. Keep reading toppers copy, buy IAS Hub's toppers handwritten answers. Learn from them. Once you keep seeing crisp arguments, you will imbibe them.
      Also, when you read a para (even in newspaper or book), try to summarise them in 1-2 keywords which give Crux of that para. That's all.

    if u write like that about women and a lady is correcting your paper, you will get zero, a big zero! its very sad that people with such narrow thinking (value of marriage decreasing coz of women empowerment @ 13:14 ) are cracking civil services exam! This is what happens when recuritment for such high level jobs is done through such exams where mugging up is awarded but the real thinking of the candidate is not exposed. This guy somehow escaped,YOU WILL BE CAUGHT IN INTERVIEW or even worse,some stage of your career or life to pay a heavy price,if not corrected.

      @@maptoscale1323 I respect your opinion but there are indeed studies that highlight increasing trend of divorces wrt financial independence of women. This doesn't mean it's a negative outcome, at the end of the day women getting divorced is something they did as a better outcome than staying married in a hurtful manner. Besides I would prefer women to stay independent (meaning contribute to economic growth in a sense) than to be married to a stupid guy and forced to stay for no reason other than money.

      @@CivilsdailyIAS No, I don't think so. The question was straightforward as to why or why not marriage losing it's relevance today ? And it's not just about the answer but also his way of conduct makes me wonder as to how he cleared mains and pt. I don't want to disrespect but honestly speaking, Never have I seen any topper so confused and unclear about how to explain. And it has nothing to do with his hindi.
      The same questions were answered very clearly by other toppers.

    • @CivilsdailyIAS

      @@atgc2310 he is highlighting a different methodology. The conventional way to go about questions is to first try and recall the notes that you made on the same topic. But Benjo doesn't take this approach as its hard for him to memorize so much. Instead he has practiced a lot of brainstorming and working on creating points, making connections. The first thing he does when he sees the question is connect with other syllabus topics and come up with points. Without practice, you wont be able to come up with such points.

    • @atgc2310
      @atgc2310 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @@CivilsdailyIAS But personally according to me, one's own strategy/ methodology will be more beneficial than this brainstorming experiment to recall syllabus and interlinking. Note that I am not discrediting his methodology but it is always better to follow one's own methods if it is less time consuming and the outcome is more productive compared to the methods of others.
      At the end of the day, ends are more important than means in this exam.
