Since I was 12 this show made me love mechanics and cars generally
17 yrs old in 1990 - how many mates had MK1 Fiestas when I had a MK2 Granada 2,8i - including, Popular, S, Supersport, Finesse, Ghia, XR2 x2 even my Grandad left a Fiesta van RIP! - now no new cars will be like this, Fiesta we love you!
I had a 78 model S, great car and for my son’s college bought a 1979. Unfortunately, he lunged the engine (shifted it too soon) and fractured the piston rings. So I brought the car home and rebuilt it with Formula Ford Heads, because the old heads had valve cracks (after I ported the old heads). I got the 2 barrel carbs/new intake, headers, 14” Escort RS Wheels, upgraded brakes, Crane Cam and Performance valve springs and HD Clutch. Traction was the issue. That 1600cc was a beast.
Beautiful Classic
I had an 1100s Fiesta, and it was a great little car. Not much power, but lightweight and agile. Eventually px'ed it for my dream car, a brand new Mk 1 XR2. 😍
Still breaks my heart that fiesta that was stolen
Welcome to the UK, or what's left of it
loves there MK1s wish I could find a clean example here in the states. was my first car.
They are nice I owned one, many, many, years ago. It’s a pity this one got half inched. I wish you luck in finding what you seek in the states.
I like this car because I was born in 79

Is this b4 it woz stolen ?
Is it Endura engine?
Was it ever found and recovered?
It's only recently happened. I doubt plod are even bothering to look into it. Too busy arresting people for "aggressively farting" 🤦🏼♂️
@@ro63rto Sadly though this is not new, it was aired on New Zealand TV over six months ago. So it must be over a year old.
Ha it’s got mk 3 wheels
Kinda silly they never put a tracker or something for cars like this. Its no doubt in south africa now.
The UK will soon be like SA
Possibly still in the UK but on different plates and VIN.
@@lewis72 I think the shell was used to restore a MKII XR2.
