A few months ago I started learning MU using a tutorial from another blogger. I started and finished it. It was disgusting and I lost interest in MU. But now I'm learning MU again and I'm happy that I found your course. Wonderful! You not only speak clearly and consistently, but also energetically. This is very motivating!
Love your videos. Can you make one on navbars? With login and logout configs along with a kbar search box if that makes sense. I really like how you break things down into the concepts instead of doing an app walkthrough. Much more re-usable.
@@AnthonySistilli thank you bro. Seriously you’re amazing. MUI + Redux Toolkit + NextJs + Supabase as the backend would make for the most comprehensive and straight-forward fullstack tutorial session ever. Just saying… I’d 100% pay you or donate substantially for a super video on that!
Great video! Thanks for making this! The whole series is great. Learned a couple of things I didn't know, passing an array of style objects to the "sx" prop, for instance... 👌 The docs are super thorough, I know, but a video is just less boring IMO. I have a question for more experienced devs. Is using the "sx" prop for all the styling considered a bad practice? It's not intended to be used like that, I think, but I don't seem to be running into opportunities to reuse a lot of the CSS I'm writing in an app I'm building... 🤔🤔
Yes! Thank you. I almost feel like the old "makestyles" way of doing things seemed way better. I found myself typing sx props all over the place, so my code is a mess.
I haven't been able to find where in the documentation it tells you to put the "&" in front of selectors (i.e. '&.MuiButton-root': {...} ). I've sruggled to know how to compose the selectors. Could you point me to a good resource to look to understand this?
I have two questions: 1: sx prop is an object, can we just have a reference to object instead of having inline ? Like this reference to style 2:can we use sx prop to non mui for example in a normal div ? non mui , or is it must to be from mui ?
I believe it was an older video related to MUI 4 where I sort of mentioned it in passing and showed an example, but I will be making a new one in the upcoming weeks on the MUI v5 styled components as well!
That and a couple short hand things specifically for MUI components that the style prop doesn't have! Like `m` for margin, and a lot of theme (color, spacings, font) integrations

Im going through all your MUI v5 videos. They have all been extremely helpful. thank you
Really clear and concise explanations - thank you!
Thank you! I learned much more through your explanations than with the docs only :)

Finally you have a lesson for that 😁 Also it would be very useful if you record a video to how can we upgrade our projects from version 4 to 5 🌸
For sure! Will have tons of MUI videos coming out, I'll try to cover that as well. Great suggestion! :)
Your video is good to understand. I am learning so much valuable things from your video. Thank you so much Anthony. Love from #Bangladesh
Thanks for these awesome videos! Looking forward to more.
Great tutorial and explanation, man!
Thanks for this video.
Could you link the video where you speak about the styled() function please ? 00:50
thank you so so much bro. please create the videos on MUI and media queries and theming!! You're really good at this!!
That's def on the list! Itll be there within the next weeks!

@@theseanmodd Haha I'd have to look a bit into supabase but I'll add it to my list! Might be a while though :D

Mui5 is such a need!
Haha yes it is! I will be putting out a lot more MUI 5 videos

Haha yeah! Really gotta watch what you use it for :)

mui.com/material-ui/customization/how-to-customize/#overriding-styles-with-class-names :) Sorry for the delay!
sx as a first lesson is a bit risky as a start xD. You start with a very high curve. Thanks for showing the best of sx
Haha yeah! I'm going to reorder the playlist once I have a bunch of videos done though :D
Thanks. Super helpful stuff.
awesome explanation thanks
HI, I missed your link to the responsive - media query video, can you post it? Thanks!
Sick video!!
I have two questions:
1: sx prop is an object, can we just have a reference to object instead of having inline ? Like this
reference to style
2:can we use sx prop to non mui for example in a normal div ? non mui , or is it must to be from mui ?
Nice work!
I am trying to access this class" MuiTypography-body1 " to change the fontFamily using the sx prop but unable to do that. Can you help please.
Is it possible to change the breakpoint values in the sx prop? say instead of sm being 600px, I want it to be 640px.
G8 Vid! Can you point it out which video you are talking about while mentioning about reusable styled component?

high level content💪
Is it bad to use sx prop in big project instead of its styled component ?
is having access to the theme the only difference between sx prop and style prop ? , coz for specific customization i always used the style prop.
That and a couple short hand things specifically for MUI components that the style prop doesn't have! Like `m` for margin, and a lot of theme (color, spacings, font) integrations
Brillant!
Very useful! But is media query still your main tool for responsive styling?
So helpful!
Dear sir, i cant use primary color when using makestyle in miu v5. Can you make video about that, please
For sure! I will make one in general about theming!
@@AnthonySistilli ohhh custom theme, dark mode and light mode plsss
Tks sir so much

Lets talk about sx
:smirk:
I'm a little bit confused about 'sx'. After watching half-way through this video, I'm still confused! .... bye!
