Mine is a lp firebrand. They don't have a top. That's why they're thin. I have the original t tops but I put REO Grand BBQs in it. No top and no trim they were called a poor man's Les Paul. Made during a sales slump. I love mine.
@@hacksguitarhobby Hi, great informative video ! I have owned a 1978 'The Paul' since buying it used in 1989. The guitar is all original to the best of my knowledge but has the odd small ding here and there . I really like the guitar but I am wondering what it may be worth ?
Hi I’m 73 ex pro, I have a Gibson LP 1973 and it plays like a dream
Nice! Dream guitar.
Great rundown, seems like an interesting guitar.
They are and are affordable for the era and features.
Nice. Bet she's a player. Love to have her in my arsenal.
Haven’t met a bad The Paul yet.

I’ve heard many guitar store owners and employees from the time telling tales of major discounts on these mid-run due to the slump.

I've paid about $1K for the last couple with case, just as a reference. The market is a bit weird right now.
