You guys are fantastic. I watch a lot of remote touring videos and yours are by far the best. You are both so natural on camera and have that can do attitude. Nothing pretentious and always engaging, I’m probably going to binge all of your back catalogue of videos! Please keep them coming 😊
My partner and I love watching your videos every week! We live in Roxby Downs and saw you drive in, got way too excited and was staring probably a bit too much! 😂 So if you remember seeing a couple pushing a pram that crossed the road in front of you that was us! Haha
Oh no way! I actually do remember you guys (: what a lovely little town Roxby is! We actually liked it there - in the middle of nowhere (: our type of place 🙌
@elnick.adventures it's an amazing little town! We were hoping you would be heading to our local footy grand final, would have loved to have a beer with you guys! But by the looks of it you were plenty busy enough 😂
As always gold! I'm slowly going back through your videos, you are just as honest about your day to day as this video is! Thanks for sharing safe Travels
Thanks Guys. Thanks for the real happenings of life on the road. Love your honesty, resilience, and still a sense of humour to go with it. Keep up the good travels.🤗🤗🤗🤗👶🤠
Awesome 👍 Guy's, luv the suzy , nugget great set up to see this beautiful country of ours, boy's are traveling well, little ollies a ripper. Gotta do that washen elenya😂, nicks turn next time😂. I got a bit of trivia, the shingle backs are monogamous, mates for life , just like you too❤. Travel safe , take care 👍👌🙏
Well done. Get a paint pen for all the bolt heads and nuts and mark them with a line across and onto the metal surface so it is easier to do visuals on things when looking for loose bolts.
Shinglebacks have one partner for life, the sad thing is often you see them on the road or beside it where one's been runover and the other not leaving his or her side.
always a great episode. I'm learning so much for my future adventure, just hope my mate can stand getting away from the rat race and going free camps and off grid
Love this video, life on the road 💙 1 day in a park then back on the road, the rest wild/free camping. We did the same with our ute and canopy, WikiCamps and Google Maps helped us look ahead each night, look for the power lines you'll always find a track to go down.
Lovely episode you 5. 10 loads of washing @ approx $5 a load! You must carry a lot of change for those machines. At least the clothes dry fast out there, touring in the wet tropics is a pain when the clothes might take a couple of days to dry. Cheers.
Little known fact about blue tongue lizards is that they mate for life, they chose a partner and thats it until they die. So if one of them gets killed the other will never take another partner until it's own death
Full on job guys. Go hard🤣 Hey Nic, and El, what do you guys think about the truck being an auto compared to a manual now you have had time to give it a good test? Great job and love your work. Cheers
Hi! We like the auto but we just flick it over to manual during 4x4ing and going up hills (: it just holds onto 5th gear a little too long but I guess it’s a personal preference (:
Well you 2 + 3 another great video but for it all to be real, we need you to document at least one argument on camera so that my wife will admit that you are REAL people and not just a figment of our imagination 🥰😍
Ya lucky ya made it to Roxby with out a pass hahaha years ago just outside of Woomera ya used to be frisked by guards carrying Side arms and rifles no entry pass no passing 🔫🔫 now they let anybody in 🤪🤪
When will people learn that towing trailers over tracks like Googs, Simpson Desert & the Canning,is not good! You complained about how the track was cut up - guess why? Yes, from bouncing trailers! Every park authority responsible for these tracks puts out a printed request to NOT take trailers! Why do you, and others, ignore these instructions?
Hey tony thanks for watching we never got stuck on Googs once and watched normal 4x4 creating these wombat holes getting bogged in front of us! I think if the tow car is capable there is no problem.
I beg to differ! I have travelled behind many trailers on most of the "icon" tracks and watched as the tracks are destroyed by bouncing trailers. It's not a matter of getting stuck, it's the bouncing action of the trailer that causes the damage. I agree, novice drivers do a good job as well as they try speed as their means of getting over the sand hills. I refer you to every pass from the authorities for the "Icon" tracks. Every one has either a recommendation, or an explicit instruction, to NOT take trailers. It irks me to hear people driving with trailers say they are not doing damage! Yes, as mentioned before, inexperienced drivers can also cause major damage. I enjoy your videos but when they include wrong doing I feel compelled to speak out! Publication of your video with your actions contrary to the authorities only promotes others to do the same! Safe travels!
What a load of rubbish Whoopty Do’s are mostly caused by idiots with conventional unlocked 4x4’s who get stuck in the sand and spin one wheel each side front and back until the diff is on the ground then reverse back full noise for another go bouncing over the first one and getting stuck again a bit further up that go tearing up the tracks. Locked, LSD and Traction Control Diff 4by’s not so much unless they bog down to the diffs spinning and dig four holes in one go. Vehicles like the big Isuzus towing a trailer crawling with minimal spinning and not bogging helps smooth out the whoops not create them. I’ve witnessed plenty of Idiots at Five Rocks, especially on Big Sandy and the Orange Bowl, even got a vhs of it somewhere in an old packing box.
Your post simply shows that you do not know much about 4wd apart from your naive bias about what causes destruction of tracks. Sure, I agreed in my last post that a lot of damage is caused by people without trailers. However, the majority of damage is caused by trailers bouncing around and the excessive speed needed to get them across the sandhill. To resolve any of these issues I challenge you to go and talk with the National Parks people, or, even better, go see the rangers appointed to the various parks. They will very quickly relate their experiences on what causes the most damage! @@paulfitz6222
