Hi Jennifer, I get so excited when you post a new video with a special technique. I've been watching you for the past 4 years, never sent you note but, this prompted a one. The cards you make and have made, especially this one are just lovely, I couldn't pass up the opportunity to let you know how much you influence my cardmaking.. And I can't wait to try to make them for my senior neighbors. We make cards for birthdays & Christmas as well as all other occasions for all the 95+ seniors in The Village, it's a fun hobby for my friend & I have, we have been doing it for many years (just because we enjoy the process). Finally replaced my CuttleBug with a Platinum 6 so that I could eventually invest in the Glimmer. But it’s not *just* the investment of the Glimmer, but also alllllll of the plates to go with it. So it’s taking me a while to justify the expense. This is such a great video to help with justifying it in the long-run, now knowing that you can use them plain, with foil, or with ink! So clever! (If you hear any screams in the background, that’s my angry bank account 🤑)

I'm so happy to see how you used the skinny stripe glimmer plate WITHOUT the hot foil machine. I don't have one of those machines but I really love the look of those stripes and wondered if I could do something like that. Yay! so happy to see I can!
Love these ideas! I have a hot foil machine but have struggled using it. I think foiling is not for me. However I love the look so today I am going to try the embossing powder and the letterpress techniques you showed to see if that gets me the look I want without so much struggle. Thanks to your detailed explainations I am also understanding why the foil machine is not working as I had planned. I make very detailed watercolor paintings and I wanted the foil sentiment across the top. Well watercolor paper is very think and bumpy so that is never going to get a good impression. Lightbulb moment! I will look thru some of my word dies and see if I can do the sentiment with those, using smooth paper, then add it over the top.

I think I’ll be getting a few extra( that stripe one is fabulous) and making, as my grandson calls them, friend cards! Then they came out with the “stamp of the month” and Emb. folder of the month and I wanted those but could only get it by joining “the whole package” club which includes the foil kit. Well, I don’t have a foil machine and was wondering what to do with the plates. Voila! On comes Jennifer with a fabulous how to on stretching your supplies (my favorite kind of video from you). I was wondering if somehow could brayer on transfer gel duo and foil that way? I’ll have to experiment with it. I was also blown away that you used the plate as a stamp!! Wow.....just wow! TYFS ❤️🦋💜
