Let's just say what if? Picture this your teen-age daughter was shy one week of graduating high school but was cut short because she was in an auto accident from a drunk driver. As she recovers she is suffering from flashbacks from the accident, she is on meds but can't sit at home letting life pass her by. That's where Goodwill starts her on a part time basis learning to separate clothing in categories, pants, tops, dresses and so forth. When she gets proficient and learns to trust being around people, she builds her confidence. She is promoted to placing books on the sales floor, clothes on racks according to color, etc. Some wierdo is with a cell phone using video. The employee is unaware that the video is an innocent gesture and not directed at her, but she is alarmed, feeling violated. If that young girl was your daughter, how would you feel?? Too many people get caught up in their little world, rather than seeing the larger picture of the whole world.

No damage on the house, just outside. Sunk the deck boat on our lake aswell. Hurricane Ian last yr did alot of flooding in Naples. Ft Myers beach wiped out lots of buildings lost also many died did not evacuate, too complacent just rode the storm out. Big mistake. You cannot win again 20 ft storm surges. So glad you are doing self-care. You do for others and you do for yourself in the sense of business but you need to rejuvenate yourself for your body and soul. Be gentle with yourself! Thank you for the video!
The froggy planter , anything with animals like that is a sure seller !
The Goodwill is given this stuff for free and they should have better prices!!
You can search the CEOs of these places, they have been sued for saying they are a not for profit yet they are keeping profit.
Goodwill hires special people to sell all valuable donations online, which gives a single store tens of thousands in income and is why you will rarely find treasures there anymore.
You continue to have a great attitude. God bless you!💕
Ive watched a few of your videos and now l know your here in Las Vegas!!! YES!! and want to tell you that the store in Henderson on Horizon, their shelves a kinda bare!! 😒
Yes, l go on Senior discount day and half priced colored tag days!! 😘
Kidding those are the cleanest Goodwill shelves I’ve ever seen and I go to a lot of Goodwill’s
Totally understand, even our “Ministry” store sells items before they are even unloaded. And heard employees speaking about certain items,”that’s saved for Mr.XYZ. Disheartening, and sad.
I love the dish section ☺️ 🤣 any vintage kitchen ware makes me happy. What a crappy thing to toss out a paying customer, who cares that you were filming what harm was there to that? Doesn't make any sense. I sell so many mugs, they are a good seller for me, no way near a $20 margin, but my Goodwill sells them for .50 so I can generally make a decent profit.
How do you handle your shipping? Do you pay for it or charge the buyer? Flat fee or exact? Do you use the post office or fed ex?
Dang…you trapped me AGAIN!, I was watching a video on making cottage cheese and was distracted by Good Will shopping…….bad me.
You and the "crazy lamp lady" in Pennsylvania, are my favorite thrifters!
Me too, and I'll add Paper and Moose to the list. :)
Same!!!!
I love blenko it’s up the road from where I live in your county by the fairgrounds. My grandma has collected it for years and my moms dad use to work at Owens Illinois glass factory when it was in business
I have a pair of those golden Blenko bowls somewhere. I live in WV, so they’re not hard to find here. I had totally forgotten I had them. I moved into a smaller home four years ago and they are somewhere in storage. Luckily, my son owns the storage units, so I don’t have to pay but now I want my bowls thanks to your video! Motivation to clear out that unit! Love your videos. I wish you could have gotten the bowls you wanted.
You should be respectful and ask
I'm sure she wouldn't let me go to her house and video all her stuff
I do a TON of mugs! I usually pay .50-$1 and I get between $15-55!!! I’ve sold a couple of vintage ones for about $50 each !!
Jess OG
Also, German Steins❗
Wow really? That is awesome
Omgoodness I love that green glass vase for 12.99....fabulous
Your good will is huge! Where I live in Virginia we don’t have anything that big here.
Goodwill used to cherry pick stuff at their other stores for their Boutique stores. As such some really nice clothing came outa that store.
Danni, I love your summary at the end of the video. So helpful. Thank you.
They would NEVER get away, with those High Prices in Scotland! Must b Joking.
I learn a lot when you explain why you don't buy something. At 12:59, how did you know those are newer without picking them up? Thanks for your videos.
I could see the mold lines and how they were constructed
I just found your videos and am loving them!
That. Is. FANCY!! Our Goodwills are small and we don't get any good stuff.
Same with The Crazy Lamp Lady. Nice Huge Goodwills and lots of goodies.
Aaww I really liked those three bowl bunny dishes! 😏😉
Thank you for taking us along Danni! ☺️💐🇬🇧
i'm watching this because its interesting whats in these stores
They don't think about what u are adding to their sales ...you show us and if we are close we might run out and get it ...so sad for them and you...I learn so much from your videos 📹
Went shopping today. The thrift stores were bare. Loved the 🐰 plate.
I lived in Vegas for a year. Shopping at thrift stores was super. People were moving from the Northeast, and Southwest, and there were lot of great clothes. And some very interesting pieces of furniture. If I had stayed there and bought a home, I could have had the some really one of a kind pieces for my house.
Those were UT Texas Longhorn mugs, they have a great resell value
I find that odd. I guess cuz I live in TX & those mugs/longhorn items are EVERYWHERE. Lol
@@theshadylady1982 yes they are very common here. Baylor things are extremely plentiful also, but guess where I live. Lol
The wooden piece that intrigued you, looked like it may have been a challah board / bread plate, but missing the cutting knife.
Is the bunny on a lettuce leaf Zirke maybe? I had something similar. Look for the matching cup!
Could be!
The employees were probably treating you how they are treated...Thanks for bringing some comic relief today(Unintended)The overworked, power hungry, diligent Goodwill employees probably just wanted to get off work close to closing time. Even though it wasn't funny haha, just funny HA. "No crying over spilt milk". Thanks Miss Lady. Fo Sho take care of yourself. You are loved.
Everytime i see them in my town they are sitting outside smoking and eating.
I wish we still had the boutique section in our stores in North Idaho/Eastern Washington. Sigh!
I had the home interior deer with fawn. I think in the late 80’s I think it sold for more than resale
I’m from WV and the Blenko sunflower bowls sold new for &100 each
I love the sunflower canister!!
Liked the snow man you passed. Liked the frog. I like the white owls. Bird behind it?? Odd they got upset in the shop at you filming Their loss!!!! Easter platter is nice.
Love the stuff in the store the store still looks great clean and fresh. Thanks for the video I enjoyed shopping with you see you tomorrow don’t forget me.
Whats the value of items made in Taiwan and Hong Kong.. that intrigued me.
Usually means vintage
Wow. Many of those shelves are pretty sparse! Love that you put comps up.
I am picky if its metal items. Empty shelves surpised me. Sunflowers canister was nice. I love your comments. I hate yellow clothes. Love your wine? glasses. I liked the red bird. My daughter would call it angry birds haha! Elephants cane item was cool. Loved how you listed what you got things for and will list it for it.
I would call the district manager. That made me mad. Not even a warning. Whats the big deal? Didn't like that store anyways.
The warning was the sign at the front.
Come to Sun City West AZ.....
Thursday ~ Sunday
Awesome estate sales
The boutique g.w. different than the usual. They have an antique sections & price accordingly. .
Goodwill should be ashamed of themselves for the prices they charge. I stopped donating to them and now donate to Vietnam Veterans. They even send a truck to pick up my donations.
Goodwill is getting to be ridiculous with pricing and on top of that when you checkout they want to know if you would like to donate your change to goodwill to help job and training of employees! I say no!!! Let the CEO Of Goodwill provide that extra money! After the products they sale are donated and doesn’t cost him anything
Goodwill sets aside all the good stuff for their eBay store!
I would love to get those UT Texas longhorn mugs since I now moved to Arizona!
Been thru several on the West coast & Central Florida. Worst one Charley 2014 told to evacuate , 1st shelter full had to find another one as the Hurricane did a wobble and came straight for us. Very scary could feel the truck lifting as we drove for safety. Shelters don't take pets left my son & our Yorkie Bubbles at home. Did have all the shutters up though. Gusts of winds 193 mph Cat 4 reaching Cat 5 at times. Most damage was 2017 Hurricane Harvey massive oak tree from vacant lot next door fell across right up to the front door. Totally different look now., old buildings just washed out to sea. As long as you are sensible do not take chances you are safe. Your daughter will be okay in California Gaynor.Expat xx.
I Subscribed 01/15/21....I’d call that boutique and talk to the main manager about how you were treated! Nice items
I've wondered about the filming...the little czars and czarina's have to put the kabosh on all of the fun. Spoilsports!!!
