Cutting nails on Sunday brings misfortune. Cutting them Tuesday helps pay off loans faster, cutting on friday helps relationship. In some case astrologers advise cutting nails on Saturday to get rid off bad debts. Cutting and washing hair Fridays is beneficial. Generally wash hair on Monday, Wednesday & Friday.
If you are telling on basis of Hindu astrology then why don't you prefer Hindi and Sanskrit .

Anyways coming to the point about cutting nails and hair on which day is right or wrong. From a pure shastra perspective, the energy of mars is high on a tuesday and while trimming, cutting nails or hair, people use a particular type of scissors and these instruments are mars related and can cause cuts or some serious damages in some cases. The extent of damage is purely based on individual horoscope or karma for that being. On a side note, if a person has a doctor appointment or has surgery scheduled on a tuesday, its the best day to get it done. Mars will actually help the doctor address the problem of the patient who is attending on tuesday. I am telling this on my personal experience.
On a general note, it is better to cut nails or hair on a wednesday or friday.
Saturday is NOT preferred. Sunday is a strict NO, for cutting hair, nails, preparing oily foods, or eating meat, spending intimate momens with your partner.
Monday and Thursdays are OK but if you are trying to have kids or prefer to have a male born in your family to expand your lineage, then its a NO. The planetary energies will cause problems.
Please DO NOT go for haircut or cut your nails after you eat something, or after you take the bath or if you are planning to have some pooja at home. It is suggested to DO chanting of any Vishnu nama while cutting nails or hair.
NOTE: Above is for people who believe in Veda.

A lot of people saying we don't follow much rules as such and are fine are missing the point as usual.
Here they clearly discussed that it's not necessary to follow. Folks with certain combination only need to be mindful meaning they are facing serious issues in managing unexplainable behavior or situations.
In such science related to planets or directions it's relevant only if it's hampering your life altogether not otherwise. If knowing genuine information can aide you then why not. Just don't impose or threaten people about it unnecessarily.
but there are so many people who feel very powerful after coloring their hair red.. how does that happen?? i myself had a phase of copper brown hair and my hair fall problem was gone.. but it started again after i dyed it black.. so bizarre..
