An Arkham City Mr. Freeze baf would’ve been awesome, but I’m glad we’ll be getting a comic book version in the Spring at the very least.
Personally, my only gripe since day one with Grundy's design in City was that he was way too big. So, while inaccurate, to me, this is almost a perfect scale for the character. Sort of like he was portrayed in The Long Halloween.
He is a lot bigger then normal tall humans like Batman or Ra's, and a lot thicker. But he still feels like a corpse of someone that could have been a human before, and not the Hulk.
Anyway, great review as always, Josh. Can't wait for my City wave to arrive.
I don't know, Josh. The Solomon Grundy sculpt looks great. As for the size, it works for me. When Batman's head comes to a mega figures waist, that's too big. Grundy seems like a more realistic height.
In Arkham City Batman was the size of Grundy’s arm. The DC Collectibles is massive and much closer to how this version should look. This baf works for comic scale though in some instances
Game-accurate or not, I agree with your point about this and many other characters' sizes getting blown way up by artists who are trying to make a name for themselves.
Yeah im with you. This is the perfect size for a comic Solomon Grundy, it just doesnt work for the version we saw in Arkham City which its trying to be. But im not trying to make a specific video game display so it works well for me.
Double review? Hell yeah! The solomon grundy is absolutely amazing and though the size is a bit off-putting I'll have it with my comic figures and in the comics he wasn't always way bigger so being just an inch bigger is fine, plus if I have them posed right I can make him look bigger than he is. The batman is good for what it is and I like it more than the initial release. Thanks for the reviews josh!

I agree with the point of having him as a MegaFig instead of a BAF, especially as this release is awesome and they could have made him much bigger. I like him a lot but I don't want any of the figures in this waves, so I do hope they release him again! Great review
Love the Batman head sculpt he looks so coool, I like Solomon but he does feel smaller than it should be

Good review, Josh, however, you should have scaled him next to Bane.
I would like Grundy to be larger as well. But I look at it like this. We get Grundy for $20, the price of a normal fig. Paid $20 each for Bats, Cats, Penguin and Ras and then for an additional $20 got Solomon Grundy. In that way it's a fantastic deal, even if Bats is mostly complete reuse. I do agree if this Grundy was sold as a megafig at this scale $40 would be too much. But as is, for $20 I think it is a great deal.

I have 2 things I want to point out. First, I think Dark father is smaller so Grundy is second smallest (not that that makes him big enough). Second, Both Arkham asylum and city have bicep swivel so elbow swivel isn't needed on them.
I like the size and heft works for me.
Great review as always Josh I honestly don't mind the size when I think of Grundy I think comics so he's smaller not a hulking monster like he is in the game with I love the design but this one definitely works for me with his size
But this is the game Grundy but I guess most are pretending he is classic…. I think a classic Grundy this size would have been perfect.
@@danielbenjaminmesser6234 a classic wouldn't have been as cool looking though I know a lot of the classics design and just kinda bland looking but yes with him being from the game he should be massive. But I feel like if Todd does a mega fig from city it would probably be clayface or I could definitely see him doing another baf villan wave
I hope we get a bigger Grundy as a Megafig. They did it with Bane, they can do it again
I never got the first release of that Batman so I don’t mind. I’m happy with Solomon Grundy and the others. I don’t play video games so his height is fine to me.
Just got the whole wave yesterday sure got some sleeper hits in this wave.
I can’t wait for my Arkham wave to arrive

I just found this arkham city batman. I did own the asylum figure, but just wasn't a fan of it, like you said because of the eyes. I dig the white out eyes on this figure. Awesome review my man! What do you think of the new teaser pic of the arkham Knight earth-2 figure coming out soon?

The only thing I can think of why he went with a build a fig this size, he may have thought that the Mega Fig of Solomon Grundy wouldn't have sold well. He would have been completely wrong in thinking that.
Did the legs of your Solomon Grundy fall off easy? Mine don't stay on especially when I try to articulate the Thighs.

I’m kinda glad I skipped the Grundy wave. I’m more for comic book figs, but something tells me we will get comic Grundy….
Maybe I'm dating myself but in the old Superfriends days Grundy was this height and not even this wide.

Solomon Grundy in the game was like closer to 15 to 20 feet tall. This figure is smaller than killer croc when in reality, killer croc was about 5 feet shorter.
The DC collectibles Arkham City Solomon Grundy is superb in every way except that it’s fragile. I was moving the arms regularly and it broke smh. You can’t even find that toy anywhere so this will have to do.

I also wish Grundy had the thicker head of hair like the version I remember and skin was greyer. I heard that MARVEL ripped of DC amd came up with the HULK. REMEMNER HULK was originally grey. I'm not a fan boy for DC or MARVEL so I don't know if that is true or not.
Grundy was twice Batman's size in the game this is a miss. You just saved me some cash.
