the characters are from a tf2 horror series thing, called hoovydundy

tails: Blue Pyro and Blue Demoman (demo is wearing a tophat
Knuckles: Blue Engie (he is wearing a lot of cosmetics)
Eggman: Blue Scout (hes wearing a beanie)
Xeno: Hoovy (vengeful soul (i think) of a friendly heavy who suddenly went missing after his team had been slaughtered
Majin: Blue Heavy (hes wearing a hat) and Blue Medic (hes wearing a mask and a helmet cosmetic)

Honestly, some new vocals for Hoovydundy that are actually in tune would be nice. Otherwise this cover sounds good.
I'm curious, though: how is each note sung assigned different vocals? Is it automated or is it done by hand?
Fun fact: Every time a dead mercenary starts singing you hear a faint scream of them at the same time. (Except Medic)

For those who dont know about the Hoovydundy series, let me fill you in on the characters.
BLU Spy is one of the 4 current survivors of Hoovydundy’s attack. The other 3 being Heavy, Soldier, and Sniper. He is a Spy on the BLU team with a fedora cosmetic. Currently shown as the main “protagonist” of the series.
BLU Pyro and BLU Demoman were the first two victims of Hoovydundy. The other three being Engineer, Scout and Medic. Pyro looks to be a normal BLU Pyro, Demo, however, is wearing a tophat. Both mercenaries were drunk during Hoovydundy’s attack.
BLU Engineer was the third victim of Hoovydundy. He is an Engineer wearing quite a few cosmetics.
BLU Scout was the fourth victim of Hoovydundy. He is a Scout wearing a beanie. He was first attacked by Hoovydundy in the sewers of BLU team’s base, almost getting killed in the process.
Hoovydundy is the main antagonist of the Hoovydundy series, being the malevolent entity hunting down the BLU team. Hoovydundy looks to be a RED Heavy with a distorted face, and a LOT of knives sticking out of his backside. These knives are connections to his humanity, and he gets more aggressive with each knive pulled.
BLU Heavy is another one of the survivors. He is a Heavy wearing a cosmetic on his head. He is friends with the BLU Medic.
BLU Medic is the fifth victim of Hoovydundy. He is a Medic wearing a helmet on his head, with a mask over his face. He, alongside Heavy and Spy, were attacked by Hoovydundy at the RED base, the trio tried to escape, but Hoovydundy tried to cut them off. Medic had no other choice but to sacrifice himself to save Heavy and Spy.

For those who don’t know: hoovydundy is a red heavy that kills the other team for killing friendlies. So in this case, blu killed a friendly red scout, so now hoovydundy is haunting them, the remaining survivors are spy, heavy, soldier, and sniper (medic was apart but then got killed)
Actually no because in the trailer of part 3 the red team is noticing what they had a problem with electricity which means hoovydundy will also try to kill them even though what it's his own team

I like how it shows after scouts part the hoovy getting more unhinged in the character icon, and is a reference to scout “stunning” hoovy.
I think Spy would be most terrified in Scout’s part

The great touches trough the cover is amazing, you can hear everyone's death screen when they show up (the mercenaries soul's) and everything, great cover man!

wtf this is so underrated- literally the only problem i could say which isn't that big problem that the voices sometimes not fit cuz its a bit too loud, but otherwise its pure perfect- i love this cover, holy f-ckin god. Keep up the great job homie! also i didn't watched the series yet, but im definetly gonna give it a shot now

after listening to this without understanding i was quite confused after i watched the whole hoovy dunddy this makes so much sense and tbh its like a really great mod! love the vocals and music! and the scout and spy's laughter is just perfect

Engineer was killed in the sewers, fixing the fuse for Scout
Scout died some time after that near the spawn
Medic died saving Heavy and Spy while escaping the freak
and the freak is the killer of all of them, while Spy is the overall Team BLU protagonist

hoovydundy used to be a regular red team heavy that wanted to spread joy and happiness to both teams. Whenever he and and his friends tried to, they were tortured and killed. The blue team hangs would hang their remains on ropes. As this continued this lead to the destruction of red team's respawn machines. Hoovydundy never got to see his friends again. filled with rage, he was turned into a *freak* in the process. However, spy was the only one among them that didn't endorse the murders of the friendlies.

very late to this but, love how scout's icon changed later than the others, which is perfect because scout was the only merc except for spy that survived his encounter with hoovydundy until he actually died by, i think being caught off guard

For those who don't know: All this happened like this:(⚠WARNING!!⚠ LONG HISTORY)Red team losed 459 times, and scout wanted to go for other team, but he insults sniper and all team encountered him. Scout surrendered to them, and blue spy sayed: „Scout, walk away" But he insults heavy and died. Drunked pyro and demo was tried to check intelligence, but they died in agony. Spy tryed to check there, but he saw a scary picture: Demo and Pyro was dismembered and part of them was hooked with rope. But HoovyDundy found him. Spy almost died and pulled at him knife, but HoovyDundy let him go. He told that Pyro and Demo was dead. At red team: Soldier and Engy was worried about that scout didn't respawn. They went to respawn machine, and they tryed to respawn Scout, but machine gived an unexpected error. They reacted that someone is in they're team, But he called as >. When they pressed on that, they showed some seconds of mercenaries dying. At blue team: Mercenaries was defend places: Engy and scout was defending sewerage, Sniper and Soldier - Intelligences, Heavy and Medic - Main Entrance. When scout and uncle Dane was talking, light bulb has broke. Dane went to fixed it, but he saw red light. He has a Frontier Justice, he broke turret to get crits, but he screamed and sayed that he need to get in teleporter. Scout was trying help him, but he saw a picture like when spy saw a dead Pyro and demo. He tryed to escape, but HoovyDundy make him in shock. He almost died, but HoovyDundy was stunned from butterfly knife that was owned Spy. He teleported and he meet spy. At long talk, Spy said that he need go to Intelligence Room. Sniper and Soldier was about talking about team that died and didn't respawned, in short they died forever.
Spy was went to check sewerage, and he spotted a his knife, but he was hot. He wanted to alert red team. He sees a red light at spawn exit. And he saw a scout, that was on chair, fully stabbed with knifes, his body was not fully dismembered, not connected parts was hooked with rope. Spy was wanted evacuate red and blue team, but scout says that no respawn when that thing is alive, also all knifes at his spine are life's. If you pull them out, you will kill. But was one option: Knifes are connect to humanity, every pulled knife make him more dangerous. And scout died. Let get back to Heavy and Medic: They was guarding, but medic saw a HoovyDundy at Heavy, but spy shoot him and told to run. HoovyDundy breaked the bridge and the board fell on Heavy's leg. They helped him, but medic died. Theres no 3 part.
This is why we see a worried spy and killed mercenaries
