Taraweeh was done by the prophet him self. The term bidah Umar used has nothing to do with the real meaning of bidah used by Schullers later on. The prophet says من أحدث في أمرنا ماليس منه فهو رد.او كما قال صلى الله عليه وسلم.

didn't imam ash-shafi'i explain the bidah hasanah? in the same vein as omar (ra)? that if it is rooted in islaam then it is a good bidah... i.e. the 20 rakah of tarawih vs the sunnah of 8...
Yes, imam Syafi'i explain bid'ah Hasanah is a SUNNAH which is we do now (before we don't). Not an innovation which is new in our religion. 20 rakaat in which Umar Radhiyallahu Anhu did is a Sunnah, why? Because Rasulullah is not limit the rakaat for tarawih, Rasulullah shalallahu alaihi wassalam said sholat 2 by 2 rakaat, he didn't mention for how many. But Rasulullah give an example with 8 rakaat. So 20 rakaat is new number. That is bid'ah hasanah which is imam Syafi'i mean. But some people misinterpreted, they can create a new sholat and they think it's bid'ah hasanah. Nooo it's not what imam Syafi'i mean.
@@hotaryuzaki Imam Suyuti is not the prophet, he can make mistakes and if he said that there is bid'ah hasanah he is wrong and we ask Allah to forgive him for his mistake. Bid'ah hasanah is saying the prophet was ignorant, that he hid knowledge we are in need of.

Listen to the first 15 minutes, was this intentional?
Who is Shareef and Abu Jameel?
So What is Taraweh? Umar R said its Bidda Hasana?!
Bidah in the linguistic sense and not in the literal sense as the prophet himself prayed taraweeh.

You said Imam Ahmad ibn Hanbal learned from innovators?
He reported hadiths from innovators yes. Go to the video 'stop the fitnah salafipublications' for more info.
