Every time I see an episode she was in, I feel so sad that she passed at such a young age. She was one of my favorite chefs from the show.

I wouldn't consider a tostada a taco, it's just that- a tostada. But to each their own I suppose.
1.- the most important of a taco IS NOT the meat… Is the salsa!!!!
2.- Tostadas is not a type of taco!!!
3.- We never use ranch for a taco!!!!

Has anyone noticed how americans try to appropiate mexican food as their own?? No way, tacos goes with no ranch seasoning!!

The problem is that Mexico was originally a part of the US (western territory in the US was originally Mexican territory) so it makes sense that there's a lot of Mexican influence in our food and culture. Not to mention there's states where most of the general population is Mexican (think Texas, California, New Mexico, etc). I've never heard Americans try to claim Mexican food as their own, but have put their own twist on it. I learned how to make certain dishes from Mexican people and history textbooks, but that's because I believe you should understand the history of something in order to eat it (which is a whole different issue).

@@naiadolling you got it all wrong, a part of the US was part of Mexico, then I agree, there's a lot of mexicans in US, but that trying to put that twist in is where you're having it wrong.
