Fantastic cards, Sasha! The "blocks" the watercolors are in are called pans. Those specifically are half pans, since they are half the size of the larger (full) pans that you can get from some companies. The blob of lighter color on your circles is a highlight. And you were correct on the stylus, aka ball stylus. I don't know if the ones with the large ends are called an embossing stylus, per se, since as you said, they are used more for paper forming (flowers, leaves, & whatnot). But there you go! Thank you for sharing your creativity. Amazing what one can do with such limited supplies, huh? Take care, & have an awesome day! :)

Sasha, these cards are so fun. I love that you are creating cards with basic materials. You can reduce buckling by lightly dampening the back side and putting under some weight. The goal is to relax the fibers on the other side. If your work surface is waterproof, you can even barely dampen the reverse side before you paint. I've heard ironing works but I have never tried it myself.
Oh yes, I always forget that trick, i did so well for so long at remembering to spritz the back a little before doing the front, no idea why that skipped out my head this time ha ha. Thanks for the reminder and for hanging out with me ;)

thank you so much Laurie, a lot of us are in the same boat when it comes to budget for crafty things. My goal is to always try to teach techniques rather than to show how to use products. That way more people have the chance to create something with what they've got too. Nothing more frustrating than seeing something and not being able to have a go :(
Cool ideas for some easy, gorgeous cards Sasha!! However I’m not a fan of Arteza WC paper pad… strange texture… and not 100% cotton paper… great for paper crafting though. Thanks for sharing!! 🥰👍🏾😃

Love this! Went to Hobby Lobby for small die cutting machine and everything was gone! Same at Michaels. They are going to electronic die cutting systems. Makes my heart sad.

@Sasha Reade • As many others have said, I like the simple technique of using only 2 colors to achieve the gradient you want. I was looking forward to purple also, so I'll take your advice to add less blue at the beginning.
I can actually see this technique as great for landscapes and skies, with or without stenciled hills. It seems so much easier than the more complex techniques used by more experienced watercolorists.
I also really loved how you used the gel pens to bring out your focal point leaf. The little bit of shimmer just made it. Thanks for sharing your creative ideas. 👍

This reminds me of painting my bedroom wall in ombre shading; I touched my paintbrush into the opposite colour paint with ever horizontal line I painted...if that makes sense 😅

WOW, Sasha, so easy and so effective - whether you get all the fancy words right ( which probably most of us would not understand anyway :) ), whether or not you can do perfect circles ( one of my earliest memories is from kindergarden, wondering why all the other kids could cut exactly on the line and I could not…) - you have amazing creativity and an incredible eye! I use copy paper sprayed with temporary adhesive - it works quite well for stamping over as it's a "vertical hit" :)

Ive looked and looked and tried and tried and i cannot find anything like it in the UK so i caved and bought some. Normally i use either copy paper or post it note tape/low tack tape, but when i use a heavier ink or application of ink it often bleeds through a little or gets too sticky. Very frustrating. Ive got 2 packs of the gina stuff and it's very nice, but im going to try my best to make it stretch as it's not a cheap product that's for sure.
