    I love this show. The actor playing Billy Buzzel is such a great character in this and other shows.

    London Weekend Television were not known to make such subtle and nice sitcoms like this. LWT really did themselves proud with this sitcom, which ran for three years over three series.

      It was a dove. I think you are conflating your Bible with your Edgar Allen Poe.

    Arthur Lowe with an Irish accent. How cool is that. Brilliant actor.

      Bless Me Father aired in Ireland on their RTE channel and proved to be very popular in Catholic Ireland of 1978.

    I didn't expect to laugh so much. This two-parter was hilarious.

    I absolutely love how he held on for a few seconds after "who used to live next door" around 20:30, before cracking a smile and looking offset

    The intro music sounds like a Salvation Army music

    It is impossible not 2 Crack up. 😁 I think being Catholic and part Irish.makes me appreciate it more. Never let it be said that we Catholics don't have a sence of humor...or can't laugh at ourselves! (Same goes 4 the Irish!) 😄😉😉

    We belong to a traditional Catholic parish. I doubt this would be funny if it was altar girls and such. It's very well done and with true humor.

    I wonder what Roman Catholic parish in London allowed London Weekend Television to film inside their church for the church scenes, as you can see it is a real church, and not a studio set.

    I'm sure this is a good show but I made the mistake of linking it to the user. Now I hate the opening music.

    I’m not Catholic, but it is do bizarre to me to see people in church where mass is being given in Latin. It was meaningless to the attendees.

      'If you want to find the secrets of the Universe, think in terms of energy, frequency and vibration.' - Nikola Tesla. If it was in English it would have a different energy, frequency and vibration wouldn't it?

    • @myleshagar9722
      @myleshagar9722 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I don't think it was meaningless at all. The people did not request all the changes which have failed to be successful as promised 50 years ago.

      It isn't if you follow along in a copy of the Roman Missal. It contains the Latin and the translation.
