I consider Brahmaa and his wife to be as important as Vishnu and Shiva, the Creation aspect is very important. If you write a story, compose music, sing a song, or write down new philosophical ideas, you draw from Brahma's shakti, the very energy of Creation, you become a creator yourself. Brahma, Shiva and Vishnu are all the aspect of the unconceivable nirguna brahman, I truly admire this sense of unity that sanatana dharma possesses

What I got from this leela was that instead of Lord Vishnu searching for the crown on top of Lord Shiva's head, he instead went down to Mahadev's feet and bowed his head. That was where the crown was located and where Lord Shiva's true crown lies. The moral of the story was we can never be bigger or greater than God, our place should always be surrendered at His feet in devotion. Narayana is the supreme Purusha. Shiva only the part of Narayana. Shiva Puranas for tamaic people. That's why they hate bhagavthe Gita. No one is above lord Mahavishnu.

Many Saivates very often confuse about Vishnu. They dont know that Vishnu is Siva. They just think Vishnu means a person like us but with hands. They often don't know which form of Vishnu they are talking about as everything iS VISHNU. VISHNU means present everywhere(even in SHIV,SHIV LING and BRAHMA, DEVI), but it is not their fault, it is the MAYA of VISHNU which confuses everyone. As per our Puranas there are many VISHNUS but there are mainly 5 forms of Vishnu and the Vibhava form among them is the one which inturn takes many other form(like Rama,Siva,Krishna,Brahma,Lakhmi,Parvati etc.,) as given below: In the Para Form, Para is the highest form of Vishnu found only in Sri Vaikunta also called Moksha, along with his consort Lakshmi, (and Bhumi Devi and Nila devi, avatars of Lakshmi) and surrounded by liberated souls like Ananta, Garuda, and a host of Muktas (liberated souls). In the Vyuha form, Vishnu assumes four forms, which exercise different cosmic functions and controls activities of living beings. In the Vibhava form, Vishnu assumes various manifestations, called Vibhavas, more popularly known as Avataras from time to time, to protect the virtuous, punish evil-doers and re-establish righteousness. In the Antaryami; "Dwelling within" or "Suksma Vasudeva" form, Vishnu exists within the souls of all living beings and in every substance. All three beings (Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva) are ascended masters. Since the universe/god is infinite, they have merged one with it and have become the supreme 1 god. You can ascend to these levels as well. That is why there are several ascended masters from different religions/cultures as well. All have merged into the infinite 1 consciousness (god)

But it also has other names such as Sivan (Maheswara), Vishnu (Mahavishnu), Mahadevi, Allah etc. They all worship each other anyway in their anthropomorphic (human-like) forms and all worship the supreme one God. (I may have gotten certain terminology wrong) You sound like you're from ISKCON. I am Tamil Hindu. I'm sure the rituals/religious ceremonies from my lineage are the most ancient. But this is not an argument over which "name" of supreme God is the right one, as it is nameless and is just a preference.

Thats why sage Vyasa declared that the best satvic form of God one can worship and meditate upon is Lord Vishnu. Even Sage Brighu declares the same. Sage Narad declares the same. EVEN THOUGH GOD IS ONE AND THE SAME PEOPLE WHO WORSHIP THE MOST SATVIC FORM OF GOD will attain the most satvic(best among all) qualities, just like him, which will quickly lead them to Salvation. Thats why Lord Vishnu is known as Mukunda(the giver of freedom/Salvation). When Siva and Brahma meditates upon the most lovable form of Lord Vishnu and adore him, I do not know why some people on this Earth still try to search for reasons to hate the lord of Sweetness, Vishnu who is the nectar for everyone. I think thats the reason why the sages advised us to read Satvic Puranas instead of giving preference to Rajasic and Tamasik Puranas. Therefore, Narayana is the Resting place or final destination for all of us. Vishnu normally be seen as resting on a thousand headed serpent AnantaSesha(who is the king of Serpents). "Shesha" in Sanskrit means"remainder"(also in mathematics)- that which remains when all else ceases to exist. Brahma (God) must have five heads representing Five Elements (Pancha Bhoothas) of creation. Brahma is known as Sampurna Gyani. Sathyaloka is the Abode of Brahma. Then how can there be lie in Sathyaloka as propagated by some of our predecessors? Brahma cannot lie as Brahma alone is the Truth. Brahma is not only the Srushtikarha of Vruksh, Mrig, Manushya, but is the Srushtikarha of Brahmand, the entire Prapancha. Without Creation, no Sthithi, without Creation, no Destruction; without Creator Brahamdev, there cannot be a Sustainer Vishnudev, without Creator Brahmadev, there cannot be a Destroyer Shivdev. Brahma is ParaBrahma Supreme God (God). The Trimurtis are the three forms of the same God Brahma. In its creative form Brahmadev, sustenance form Vishnudev, destructive form Shivadev. The three female forms Saraswathidevi, Lakshmidevi and Shakthidevi are the female forms of God Brahma for the manav to understand the principle of creation. For God Brahma alone does creation, but for manav both male and female are required for creation. The name Manav, Manushya, Man came from the name Manu and if there is no Manu, there is no word as Manav, Manushya, Man in the dictionaries. OM is the first Sound from God Brahma. Sathyam Jnanam Anantham Brahma.

Shiva didn't say "Narayana you have a great heart" He actually said you are extremely clever -- you buried a lesson inside a lesson and astonished even myself. These translations suck. I want to kick the translators for not doing a more faithful job of translation. Such a great movie, lost to translation errors.

There's nothing tamasik about Shiva puranam. This is in fact not a Shiva puranam story, it is Vishnu puranam story and is part of the Dashavatara canonical story -- both Shiva and Vishnu contrived this leela to teach Bramha deva a small lesson.
The following verses from the Yajurveda echo a similar concept of God: "na tasya pratima asti "There is no image of Him." [Yajurveda 32:3]5 "shudhama poapvidham" "He is bodyless and pure." [Yajurveda 40:9]7 Sambhuti means created things, for example table, chair, idol, etc. The Yajurveda contains the following prayer: "Lead us to the good path and remove the sin that makes us stray and wander." God is Soul (Which is formless, image-less and pure) and god's energy is all material things, Hence Yagurveda confirms god has no image but god's energy has image, form etc. Everything in the World is part and parcel of God. "They enter darkness, those who worship the natural elements" (Air, Water, Fire, etc.). "They sink deeper in darkness, those who worship sambhuti." That means they live under illusion who worship material things (those who likes money, fame, name, gadgets, gold etc but can worship idol for the sake of Bhakthi) and they will be having birth and death cycle. Once they realize their own soul, they reach god (come out of darkness). God is both personal and impersonal, hence no problem in worshiping god's idol..

Good story.. But 1 lesson I got... These three can't be the real supreme all mighty. Because what I can see here that gods are fighting with eachother like humans, they degrade each other they get angry with other, they want to proof who is superior and they behave like child they don't the unseen, they feel jealous just like human, they don't know themselves who they are and they need a lesson to be taught.. How strange. Multiple will fight with each other i can see in hindu mythology. And now I become confident of 1 thing that there can be only 1 God. Otherwise universe could have been destroyed very long time ago.
They created this leela to instruct us human beings. They don't actually fight. Read the actual commentaries by qualified Acharyas and know that whatever the trimurtis do, they do so to teach us all small lessons.

What I got from this leela was that instead of Lord Vishnu searching for the crown on top of Lord Shiva's head, he instead went down to Mahadev's feet and bowed his head. That was where the crown was located and where Lord Shiva's true crown lies. In the Vyuha form, Vishnu assumes four forms, which exercise different cosmic functions and controls activities of living beings.

All three beings (Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva) are ascended masters. Since the universe/god is infinite, they have merged one with it and have become the supreme 1 god. You can ascend to these levels as well. That is why there are several ascended masters from different religions/cultures as well. All have merged into the infinite 1 consciousness (god)

Devadidev MahaVishnu himself in the form of Krishna in Bhagavadgita clearly says "tadatmanam srujamy aham"(I will create MYself) when required. That's why he creates himself in the form of Trinity(Brahma, Siva and Narayana for the purpose of creation, destruction and protection) and in many many other forms and roles to do different different tasks in this universe. So, please remember again: there is nothing that is not VISHNU. ALL FORMS are HIS FORMS and ALL NAMES are HIS NAMES.
Infact the word "VISHNU" itself means ALL PERVADING...one who is everywhere; Being infinite there is nothing that is not VISHNU, who is also popularly known as Narayana or Hari. He is Brahma, He is Siva, He is Krishna, He is Rama, He is Durga, He is Lakshmi, He is Parvathi, He is Ganesha...and there is no end to the list of his manifestations. He has thousand forms and names but he(the truth) is one. Ekam sat vipra bahudha vadanti - "that which exists is One: sages call it by various names".
He is the reason of all reasons. Isvarah paramah krishnah, sachith-ananda-vigrahah, anadir adir govindah, sarva-karana-karanam(reason of all reasons). This is the definition of Krishna given by Lord Brahma in his book known as Brahma-samhita.
"Nara" in Sanskrit refers to all human beings or living entities (Jivas). Ayana = Resting Place.
Therefore, Narayana is the Resting place or final destination for all of us.
Vishnu normally be seen as resting on a thousand headed serpent AnantaSesha(who is the king of Serpents). "Shesha" in Sanskrit means"remainder"(also in mathematics)- that which remains when all else ceases to exist. This denotes that Vishnu(the supreme God) is the ultimate one who remains when all else ceases to exist.
Garuda, the king of birds is the mount(vahana/vehicle) of the Lord Vishnu, which is known for its speed and strength. The supreme God protects all his devotees with lightening speed.
Charkra(discus in the hand of vishnu) denotes the infinite KalaChakra(cycle of time), it denotes that everything will be perished in the cycle of time, and the master of time is Vishnu.
Kaumodaki (the mace of Vishnu) denotes that the bad will be punished. Vishnu is known for protecting and restoring Dharma in his various forms.
Kamala(Lotus flower) in his hand of Vishnu denotes life...being the creator of creator(Brahma), he is the one who gives life to everyone...
Bhagavadgita also says that there is no one that is equal to Vishnu(so there is no question of any superior over him). Only People with asura gunas(like Ravanasura, Banasura who have qualities of ignorance, half knowledge etc.,.) will underestimate Vishnu or any of his forms(avatars).
Vishnu is the lord of Lakshmi(wealth)...Vishnu posesses everything in abundance(wealthy)..that will be never diminishing even if he blesses his devotees with boons.

Brahma (God) must have five heads representing Five Elements (Pancha Bhoothas) of creation. Brahma is known as Sampurna Gyani. Sathyaloka is the Abode of Brahma. For God Brahma alone does creation, but for manav both male and female are required for creation. The name Manav, Manushya, Man came from the name Manu and if there is no Manu, there is no word as Manav, Manushya, Man in the dictionaries. OM is the first Sound from God Brahma. There's nothing tamasik about Shiva puranam. This is in fact not a Shiva puranam story, it is Vishnu puranam story and is part of the Dashavatara canonical story -- both Shiva and Vishnu contrived this leela to teach Bramha deva a small lesson.
The following verses from the Yajurveda echo a similar concept of God:
"na tasya pratima asti
"There is no image of Him."

"He is bodyless and pure."

God is Soul (Which is formless, image-less and pure) and god's energy is all material things, Hence Yagurveda confirms god has no image but god's energy has image, form etc. Everything in the World is part and parcel of God. That means they live under illusion who worship material things (those who likes money, fame, name, gadgets, gold etc but can worship idol for the sake of Bhakthi) and they will be having birth and death cycle. Once they realize their own soul, they reach god (come out of darkness). God is both personal and impersonal, hence no problem in worshiping god's idol..
