    I wish this would have been published years ago and saved me from buying a short throw machine and saved my money for a Rupes machine. Great content as always.

      It really doesn't matter short throw machine long throw machine just get a quality machine. You have to refine your skills use a quality compound and then finishing polish and use the correct pads with the compound and polishes you use you can cut with an 8 millimeter with the right pad you can finish with an eighth mmmm with the right pad. You can use the new group has rotary polish shirt that is now lightweight and using compound will always leave holograms you have to finish out with a fine pad and a fine finishing polish.nobody teaches how to use the rotary anymore so it's somewhat of a lost art and nobody teaches how to finish with a rotary. And this needs to be re-taught and relearned.

      I'm sorry I meant the new group is rotary polisher that is lightweight. I hit the send button before reading my comments.

      Again Rupes rotary light weight polisher. Not group I don't know why it is misspelling so much on my replies.sorry

    Yaw should do a couple longer vids of the whole process. From the starting wash and decon to polishing for beginners. Would be some good content. Keep up the great work

    How kind of you to give the porter cable a flat area to correct lol.. That thing really falls on its face with contours and uneven surfaces.

    I have an older bottle of Menzerna Super Intensive polish. Great for most paints for a single step correction with a polishing pad. I think Autogeek's website shows that to be what is now called 2400. Do you guys use this at all ? just wondering how it stacks up against the 2500

    • @PristineAutoDetailing
      @PristineAutoDetailing  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Gav Details I remember having 2400 back in the day. If I remember right it’s very close to the same as 2500 but it’s been so long since I’ve used. Sorry I am not much help😂 I am sure the 2400 I used for lots of one steps, except for maybe having to refining black paint after with a finishing polish.

    Hi I never owned a Rupes LHR 15 Wondering if it’s good polisher to use for the last step trying to get that brilliant clarity shine?

    • @PristineAutoDetailing
      @PristineAutoDetailing  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      The 15mm or 21mm Rupes work great for the final step in the correction process. What are you currently using?

    • @sheldonriveira1526
      @sheldonriveira1526 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Pristine Auto Detailing right now I am useing the LHR 21 mark 2 for the finishing step

    • @PristineAutoDetailing
      @PristineAutoDetailing  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I like the 21 just as much. I have swapped my 21 head out with a 15mm head since I like using the smaller pads.

      Pristine Auto Detailing That’s a great idea I have two 21 mm I can see how it will also deliver more power and get all those smaller area thanks for the advice!

    so you used the mille to remove sanding defects at speed 3?thats the problem,how you can remove sanding mark with that low speed anyway?

    • @PristineAutoDetailing
      @PristineAutoDetailing  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah have removed a lot of defects at speed 3. Typically I will change the speeds throughout the process. Depends what compound I am using and how fast it diminishes if at all and many other factors come into play. Not one certain way all the time. If I would bump it all the way depending on the compound, it will just "hydroplane" and not cut at all.

    Rupes is an amazing machine pretty much all I run at the shop. Almost no vibration. And they have a good selection of machines including the nano long neck. Awsome for motorcycles. As for pads I use spta, lc, sometimes rupes. Spta are cheap pads but have had great success.

    I worked in paint shop for 15 yrs , what ever shop wet sanded and buffed that and let it leave the shop like that needs to never wet sand and buff again because they have no clue what they are doing , I always used 3m compounds and foam polish then wax , and I love my makatia buffer , variable speed trigger and up to 4500 rpms if I need sum heat to work that clear like I’m it’s daddy!

    Should have used a Makita high speed buffer with the right pad and compound , and then follow up with the Rupes mark3 15 with a polishing pad

    • @PristineAutoDetailing
      @PristineAutoDetailing  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      For sure!! I havnt done any rotary vids yet. Afraid that someone will mess up the paint and come back complaining to me lol

  • @jtm1979
    @jtm1979 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Hmm. For sure 21 and even 15 is better for removing defects than Mille. I have all of them and yes mille is forced but it wont correct as fast as longthrow. I think its just lack of technique if you cant spin 15-21 in concaves etc. Sure forced rotation is easier for beginners.

    • @PristineAutoDetailing
      @PristineAutoDetailing  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      For sure! We don't use the mille as much as we used to. Generally if we are looking to save time and the paint is trashed we go to the rotary followed with a 15/21

    in Chicago we call these "scars", not a huge fan of using a machine to remove these, We suggest to use a polish type product (like Meguiars Ultimate Polish) apply using foam applicator , simply wok the product into the paint giving spritzes of water or detail spray to keep it wet. As the product disappears, finish with microfiber, apply a coat of wax (Blackfire BlackIce works amazing) If you insist that a machine is needed, do these steps anyway, when done.The result will give your car a perfect swirl free finish.

      Ultimate Polish is great. Light abrasive load. I get a lot of mileage out of it.

      @PristineAutoDetailing  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Kevin Botello lol I miss making content! Me and the wife had a baby a few months ago and I am really trying to spend most of my free time doing my best with that😀
      We have been detailing around the clock day and night since this is our busiest time of the year. For right now it’s only todd and myself doing the day to day but eventually will need to add to the team for sure! Have to make the $$$ now since winter time we never know how the weather will act and how busy we will stay in the snowy season. Trying to keep the content coming as much as possible for ya guys since we appreciate the love! But also gotta feed the family since $50 a month from TH-cam is rough 😂
      Thanks for the love Kevin! You definitely inspire me to try to create more content.

    menzerna FG400 is grease in a bottle I cant stand it compared to the older menzerna from 2002-2009. rotary is still the best machine and will not hologram if you know how but for single stage services it is just not ideal.
