One BIG Way God WORKS in the WAITING

- "Waiting seasons aren't wasted seasons; God works in the waiting." This is something we hear all the time in Christian culture (I myself have said it plenty of times tbh). But the question is how-HOW does God work in the waiting? In this video, I'm sharing a theme I've noticed throughout Scripture of one very specific thing God always seems to do before He brings us out of the waiting seasons and into what He has for us.

Waiting on God is hard, but if we are patient, He will bring what He wants into your life.
Yes - and the key part is what He wants, not always what we want! But He loves us and truly has in mind for us the best 🙏🏼
Something I have learned: God will never discount an opportunity to make you your strongest you. And if God gives you the strongest version of yourself, you can survive all things.
The journey is not pretty. You will cry and scream and yell and lash out. If God's intent is to make you your strongest you, you can even in the most reluctant or depressed manner, face those challenges and overcome them.

I have to listen to this everyday to keep me going. I am overly exhausted and have been waiting years for something better to come.
I trust in His process, just exhausted
Found this after viewing the video about God’s promises. This season of my life has been so challenging and painful. I have been diligent about taking responsibility for my actions and behaviors and have really been seeking God. It’s hard not to feel exhausted or like He has forgotten me. I know the truth but it’s a struggle I’ve been facing. Thank you for this. I hope this can help jump start a new level of faith and peace in my waiting.

Wow! This was uploaded 3 years ago and I’m hearing it in 2022 and it was EXACTLY what I needed to hear❤ I’ve been waiting for a promise that God put in my heart 4 years ago and sometimes it feels like I can see it on the horizon and then other times it seems so far away, like it’ll never happen. I definitely feel like in this process of waiting Gods allowed things to happen to bring things to the surface in me. Things humble me, to strengthen me but some days I feel like giving up. Today was one of those days.. but I came across your video and it really blessed me so thank you!!❤❤

I actually recently listened to two sermons on this passage by Tony Evans (from August 14, 2019, and August 15, 2019). You should be able to find them on his website. I would look up my notes, but I think I left the notebook I had them in at my cubicle at work.

A couple weeks ago I was torn on if I should commit to another 3 years in my current city for a college course I was unsure of. I prayed about it and asked for very clear signs "because I am human and stupid compared to You. I don't always understand your subtle signs."
Don't ever think the answers to our prayers are always nice. He answered me first with random dog feces on my outside steps. I don't have a dog. To me, that answer was clear enough, but others in my life disagreed and felt I was giving up too easily. So He sent a squatter with a chainsaw in the empty unit below mine. Still, that wasn't enough proof for loved ones in my life to see what I did. So He had me witness a near-kidnapping attempt that police did not respond to. 3 men tried to pull a woman by her hair out of the passenger window of a car parked in front of my building. The driver sped away. The would-be kidnappers were on foot, meaning they were planning to take her somewhere very close. When I sent warnings to every driver I know "Don't be parked or stopped with open windows" and told them what I saw, loved ones finally understood that not only was God telling me not to stay another 3 years; He was saying "Get out ASAP!"
The following week was of much crying and disappointment, being met with false leads and dead ends. I didn't give up faith, though. Instead, I got angry at evil and overspent on The Septuagaint, the Dead Sea Scrolls Calender, and the NSRV to add to my collection of study materials. I read and prayed.
Finally on Monday, I was typing to a TH-camr friend of faith saying "I have faith, though. After all, He is the one who showed me its time to move. Surely He has a place in mind." I hit Send, was brought back to my inbox, saw I had an email from property management, and I mentioned wanting to move to a small town. Turns out, their company has an as-yet-unlisted property in a very small town. I get to go look at it in a couple days 🙏😇
TL; DR Answers to our prayers aren't always nice. Also do NOT be in a parked or stopped car with open windows, especially in cities.

I sometimes find when faced with my own personal situation(s), especially while dealing with any negative emotions, what I learned through the reading of scripture does not immediately come to mind.
Now I understand why it is best to wait for the "emotional fog" to clear while keeping my focus upon the Lord's Kingdom.
It doesn't feel good to wait but I'm thankful for the process and who I am ultimately becoming in Christ Jesus 🙏
