    found this really informative and liked how you incorporated what the glass is doing so that I can take that knowledge and use in other projects. Would definitely like more short idea videos like this one.

      Glad you found it helpful! I hope to go through more project guides like this and talk about the science side of what the glass is doing, so it can be replicated. 😊

    That was really cool! My dad used to do stained glass projects as a hobby but we did not have a kiln. That was really neat to watch the whole process!

      Thanks Jenny! I started with stained glass when I learned, but quickly fell in love with glass fusing. It really opens up so many new ideas! I’m glad you enjoyed seeing the process in this one! More to come soon! 🥰

    I consider myself relatively new to glass fusing, so to watch this video was very informative. I liked your choices in the pacing and the info you decided we'd need to have as part of the learning, So glad I came across your channel! Thank you! (P.S. I'm another one who can get distracted by the background music. I often wish I could cut the music track and just listen to the information, but I realize we all take in the information differently.)

      Thanks! Glad you liked the tutorial! I actually have to agree about the music.. lol I like the first part of it, but I could do without buddy singing through the last half of it. 😂

      @@heatherdawson4146 😊 thank you! After I wrote to you I was feeling a little guilty, you may spent a lot of time to search for a good music, and I am kind of person have to be very focused when I am working.
      I like all your videos, learning and fun!
      Thanks again!

    Hello Heather ,thank you for your super video!
    Could you tell us what kind of glue you used? Thank you

    • @heatherdawson4146
      @heatherdawson4146  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You're welcome, Catherine! If you mean the glue I suggest for keeping your stacks of glass from moving before firing, I recommend using Bullseye Glasstac. It burns off cleanly during the firing.
      If you mean what kind of glue to attach the bail after the glass is fired, I generally use a two part UV adhesive called Triolyse. I know some artists swear by E6000 for their jewelry, so that's another option to try.
      I personally don't glue enough jewelry to use the E6000, and I was finding that the tube would dry out between uses. I don't have that issue with the two part adhesive when I do have the odd piece that needs glue instead of being drilled.

    Thankyou, I hope you don't mind, but I would just like to add that on the firing schedule there is an error in the conversion to Celsius. The first temperature should read 66 deg C (not 829 deg C).

    • @heatherdawson4146
      @heatherdawson4146  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Whoops! You're right about the error, it should be 663º Celsius. I copied the schedule right from the Bullseye Project Guide - I'll forward a note on to them about the correction. Thanks for spying that! 🙌
