Yes,this was the first engine. this km was not fake. that engine was really worn out at the ~800.000 km. Camshafts are worn. Pistons are worn. Crankshaft and its bearings,connecting rod bearings was in good shape. turbo chra was have a little play we replaced it but not bad from that mileage. The bosch injection system is fully original! we put the ~800k km injection system to the new engine :) The engine oil is always some kind of 5w30 mobil1 or others but always 5w30 and replaced at every 15-20k kilometers. The car was always running 0-24 at highways thats why it survived so much.
Robert Service the reason piston are melting is because the fuel injector is faulty and is leaking fuel in cylinder at the wrong time slightly and maybe a bit to much on that cylinder... .... and at this number of kilometres 5w40 engine oil will give you better oil pressure as the oil pump is tired... that will protect turbo and top of engine like camshaft and bearings....

@Stefano Ranieri non tirare la prima più di tanto (soprattutto a motore freddo), fare i tagliandi regolari (o almeno non troppo in ritardo) e non farla arrivare mai in riserva (il diesel crea la patina e quando parte la riserva entra nel motore la sporcizia). Ho cambiato 206 dato che ho distrutto la vecchia e ne ho presa una con 179k km, ora sono a 197k km e il motore è ancora un'orologio
@Stefano Ranieri e soprattutto (questo non riguarda direttamente il motore) non accelerare brutalmente in curva (soprattutto sul bagnato e ghiacciato) perché la 206 tende a scodare in condizioni limite e va in sovrasterzo. La vecchia 206 l'ho distrutta cosí per colpa del sovrasterzo e delle gomme estive a dicembre (la macchina era di mia madre e se ne fregava)

Rear axle always goes out you can buy a refurbished rear axle best option with grease nipples included If you want to have it replaced its around £450 ish You can also buy the refurbushed rear axle for £180,- and change it out yourself Or you can buy a refurbish kit bearings only and do everything yourself including drilling holes and tapping threads for the grease nipples on both sides Then its around £40,-
J'ai besoin d'aide, mon véhicule 206hdi 1,4(233000km/années 2005) ne démarre plus après avoir tourné la clé et quand je tourne la clé dans le l'autre sens il y un bruit comme un relais qui bloque le démarrage ! Svp, si j'arrive pas réparé demain, mon véhicule va au garage. Pour info, la batterie est OK, voyant rouge allumé et voyant préchauffage OK. Par contre pédale molle puisque pas de démarrage. Merci

Ho avuto una C3 con lo stesso motore per 17 anni e 452000 km circa, solo ordinaria manutenzione. Cambiata solo perché era Euro 3, ma andava ancora benissimo.
Io ho ancora una 307 sw hdi con 16 anni e 300 mila km e non li ho fatti in autostrada ancora un ottimo motore silenzioso e 0 spie e non consuma un cazzo di olio con le sue candelette originali ecc. (A volte ha avuto qualche problemino al fap ma poi si aggiustata da sola ahah)
I have a 2008 citroen c3 fitted with this engine and it sounds different compared to a 2013 citroen c3 with the same one. Does anyone know why? Maybe it's a different component fitted in the new ones that make it sound more smoothly.

My bought new 1.4 HDI 206 from 2005 has about 550k km and it has a lot of noice like lumping and ut drinks oil like a cahmp in 2 weeks gage goes from max to min...I feal sad to trow this car bc it went with me trought a lot in my life, only repairs are washers on diesel injectors as well as new fuel lines bc old ones crakced and started leaking fuel all over the endgine
@paul.g5828 if the engine is allowed to warm up (20+ minutes) city driving isn't too bad. Lots of short 5 minute trips and the engine never gets fully heated, this is very bad for the engine and components.

My 206 is 440000 from 2002, I had to change the turbo and the crankshaft position sensor, and the normal stuff like belt, filters, oils, etc.

The 2008 engine has the FAP, we have the 207 1.4 HDi, It sound differently than 206 without fap (i had It)
