I bought a duffel bag for $10 and packed it for a trip the next day I noticed a small zipper it was a pocket for a wallet/passport and when I opened it there was a envelope inside that had 33grams of 14kt gold charm bracelet it was such a blessing
Seriously?? Return it so they can sell it? Get real. It's not like goodwill was the owner lol it was donated to them. There is no way to get that back to the original owner.
@@FabricwelderI agree on that one. Cause it would be cool if they knew the donator. But really nahhh it’s yours, and yeah they would have just sold it. You got a bonus. Don’t listen to negative.
An item like a charm bracelet is usually very sentimental to the owner and I doubt they knew it was in that bag. I am probably overly sentimental after losing the bracelet my Dad gave me in a flood a few years ago, but I would hope that if it was ever found someone would make the effort to get it back to me instead of thinking they were fortunate for having found it. I have found a couple of really nice jewelry items in my life and worked hard to reunite them with their owners.

Thank you Margaret for another great video. :) I have been selling very on and off for the last 20 or so years on eBay. I started out selling collectibles that I purchased wholesale. Back then the market was saturated. I did sell some but my sales were low dollar. A few years later I tried selling clothing. It was fun shopping for nice things. However, it was a lot of work laundering the clothing, steaming, photographing, listing, etc. I did not really enjoy selling clothing. I have sold jewelry from my personal collection. Then about 1 year ago I found your channel. That is when I started thrifting and reselling all kinds of jewelry. I just recently started trying to dip into thrifting other items. Because I am just getting my feet wet I am pretty slow. As with most things that I think might sell I have to look them up. Back in April of this year, I was looking at a signed Easter decoration. I picked it up and placed it back on the shelf. I was standing in front of it at my face height. A guy walked up and grabbed it from right in front of my face. He was talking about "here is $40.00 right here". At the time I was a bit miffed. But I learned a big lesson that day, always use a cart. I let it go, he probably needed that Easter decor more than I. 😊
I was thinking of you earlier today when I was picking out some jewelry to.list and smiling about how happy you sound. It made this video extra good. Thank you.

I made a thrifting attempt yesterday and the Karm thrift stores in Tennessee are also charging high for stuff. We're talking 7.99 for a mass produced glass vase that lists for $10-15 on Etsy type pricing. It's insane. @@dittohead7044 I know, but given that what they are selling is stuff they got for free or purchased cheap in bulk thrift distribution lots, it's bad business, as it slows sales to a crawl. I noticed the same thing here at the Goodwill in my town (Kingman Arizona). But while in Oceanside California the thrift store there had good stuff at very inexpensive prices.

Hi, I have some shoes that I got at a thrift store. How about I list them last "Gucci style " and indicate that they haven't been authenticated? Is that still a no no?
That is a no- no. I sell jewelry and we can get “ dinged” for saying in the style of … Varsano. Or with paintings if you say ala Van Gogh, or Picasso style.
I have a bunch of decorative, porcelain plates in storage. I have no idea if they're valuable. I bought what I thought was pretty at a multi state sale. What names or stamps should I look for?
Hi Ms Margaret 👋🌞. Can you tell me please, isn't it very expensive shipping the porcelain/ceramics? Or do you find that your clients don't mind paying shipping because they truly desire the items which leads to my 2nd question: do you sell the porcelain items at set price or let them bid it up? Ooo, and is there a preferred shipper that's more careful?
I did eBay for 10 years, me and my mom would go to Goodwill auctions were they auction big boxes of miscellaneous items. We never left without at least one or two good items sometimes still in the box. I even started ordering items wholesale from China I would always put of course that items weren't original. I understand now that it's not a good idea because China can use toxic materials to make knock-off goods. So I stopped doing that. I also stopped going to Goodwill auctions because the prices were so ridiculously high for one box. Goodwill also started their own online auction site so you're not going to find good things in the store or in the auction boxes anymore plus you count gas, shipping materials, shipping prices for some people, it's not worth it anymore. But I'm extremely grateful for the skills eBay has taught me. We were able to pay off her house just from selling off of eBay
Yeah Goodwill is a bust in my area. They keep anything of value for their online stores. But most senior citizens centers have thrift stores and I've done well there!
Oh no!! I have a gucci wallet I just put up for auction a few days ago. It already has bids. I am pretty new to reselling and tried to see if it was on the vero list...couldn't find anything amd saw several selling so went ahead and listed it. Anyone have any advice? I know this video is old but not sure what to do. Pretty sure it is authentic.
l'm not sure if there's been some type of "update" or new "rule" for GIG support now bc l've had a similar issue where my account was deactivated randomly with no explanation. I've tried to contact investigations at least 6 times now and each time I've tried they refuse to transfer me over. In fact, one of the support techs transfered me over to my own phone number! Honestly it's been one of the most ridiculous run arounds l've ever been given, especially considering I never broke any of the terms and conditions. Smh. Good job I found a 3rd party *FORTSON_TECH* who got it resolved, I am so grateful for this huge opportunity!!
Indeed very pleased with the service. First they explained to me the set up, and the next the process began. After sending all the necessary information, I decided to pray and hold on to my trust of righteousness, Thank God am Back now ,I had to pay to get my account reactivated back I am so happy for meeting someone like *FORTSON_TECH*
I am interested in joining the selling platform and you have mentioned about looking up items but, you don't say where to go. Can you tell me where to go? Thanks.
I would never buy a craved platter. Because of it’s size and weight it could easily finish breaking in a hurry. If you were to put a turkey on it while it’s hot, it could pop it into. Plus you could get bacteria in the crack and getting sick from it. Lots of reasons to leave cracked utility pieces alone.
@ 4:18 there is a checkerboard mug with LYNN written on it ... have you ever sold those, or are they something to leave behind? I'd look it up myself, but have no info on it ... so I thought I would ask.
I pick them up but the price must be right, they are typically by Federal Glass Company (Fire King Era) and sometimes by a company named Galaxy. They are worth about 15-20 dollars each.
I have a HUGE favor to ask you about the receipt you were given at the New Orleans R.W.& B. Thrift store. I'm in N.O. for a bit & went there yesterday, but noticed today none of the items I purchased that had either a 50% off red tag or 75% off yellow tag was actually discounted on my receipt?? Just curious if you remember if any discounts were reflected on your receipt for % off items? I've only been there twice & can't remember if my receipt showed it, but I do know I paid full price for everything I got yesterday, including items with discounted tags..love your contact. Thank you.
Your videos helped me flip (in one day!) a Jim Shore Wizard of Oz set. My mom was with me at the garage sale I found them at and she was amazed I picked the items up!
I don't understand how they can determine something is fake and they are not professional to determine this.I hot flgged on fb market place for a watch but has Ben authenticated by a jeweler.
For a little while, I bought nice businesswear in linen and wool; most especially things that the major fault was that it was wrinkled or needed repair. I would steam/dry clean/repair and put them up on eBay....DID sell most of them, but the new baby and full time job didn't leave any room for hobbies.

That’s fantastic!!
After sending all the necessary information, I decided to pray and hold on to my trust of righteousness, Thank God am Back now ,I had to pay to get my account reactivated back I am so happy for meeting someone like *FORTSON_TECH*

do you ever take a uv light with you to check for uranium glass?
Not usually. I probably should
@@TexasGalTreasures yes absolutely Uranium glass is a huge collection item
Oh man! I would’ve loved to have bought those floral frogs!!
You were very close to me and LucidCurious ❤️👍🏻❤️👍🏻 happy to watch! Great deal!
How do you get things authenticated?

Oh I have been to that one on the Westbank many a time before we left the area ,love the red white and blue.
That Red White And Blue is the best thrift store in a 70 mile radius in the area.
10:05 how did you tell it was fake?
What will happen when every company starts disputing all ebay items as fake to protect their sales?
Wish we had carts here in Oz, they expected U to carry it all
@ 4:18 there is a checkerboard mug with LYNN written on it ... have you ever sold those, or are they something to leave behind?
Thank you.
You missed a Scarlett GWTW figurine at Red White Blue.
Yes, prices have gotten crazy
I have found items that were from the Dollar Tree and selling for way more than what the Dollar Tree, literally next door, was selling them for.
I sometimes, go the opposite direction in thrift stores I frequent, it’s surprising how you see things differently from a different direction. Lol
@Bella-gj6wc, Such a good idea! Thank you!
Do thrift stores sell antiques?
You gotta check the teeny tiny vases too.
The Westbank used to have some great ones in Marrero or Westwego.
Timestamp on the item that will get you suspended on Ebay, please.
They use to ban people now they just report my listing and it gets deleted whenever it is counterfeit?
Thank you for your video I'm learning alot
It's Spode when the Santa is the tree topper!
I could have watched you all day!
Your videos helped me flip (in one day!) a Jim Shore Wizard of Oz set. My mom was with me at the garage sale I found them at and she was amazed I picked the items up!
I don't understand how they can determine something is fake and they are not professional to determine this.I hot flgged on fb market place for a watch but has Ben authenticated by a jeweler.
what about the naked couple entwined? is that somethiing to get you banned even though you don't see any gentiles
Spode Christmas trees have a Santa at the top of the tree. You don’t even have to pick it up to look.
For a little while, I bought nice businesswear in linen and wool; most especially things that the major fault was that it was wrinkled or needed repair. I would steam/dry clean/repair and put them up on eBay....DID sell most of them, but the new baby and full time job didn't leave any room for hobbies.
Great point!
