I had heard that.Ryan Kelly had been in a coma. Was he? Why? How is he now? Any sequelae?

Yes in 2012 he fell down the stairs in his home in The Moy. He was in a coma for 3 weeks. With the extent of his brain injury he shouldn't have been able to do Mythology and the fall tour 3 months later but he was. He said in an article that he wasn't going to let his brothers go one to do Mythology filming and the tour by themselves since they had already had to go to Atlantic City without him. Colm was hired for Mythology, he wasn't supposed to go to Atlantic City but they needed a 5th singer so Sharon called him and he only had like 2 weeks to learn his parts for the songs and the choreography.
